Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: In line for full practice
Coach Kyle Shanahan said he expects Garoppolo (ankle) to be a full practice participant Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Garoppolo returned to action in last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins for the first time since Week 2, but his high right ankle sprain didn't allow him to finish the contest. When Garoppolo stepped aside at halftime, Shanahan noted he wanted to "protect" the quarterback, which may have been cover for his brutal performance to that point in the game (7-for-17 passing for 77 yards and two interceptions). Assuming he practices in full Wednesday and maintains said status through the end of the week, Garoppolo will have his hands full this weekend versus the Rams' second-ranked pass defense.

Drew Lock QB | SEA
Broncos' Drew Lock: Resumes practicing in full
Lock (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
Lock missed Denver's last two games due to a strained shoulder, but his ability to practice in full to begin Week 6 puts him in position to reclaim starting duties Sunday against the Patriots. According to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic, head coach Vic Fangio has yet to announce that Lock will be fit to start this weekend, but that should merely be a formality if he's able to continue practicing fully Thursday and Friday.

Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Football Team's Kyle Allen: Logs full practice
Allen (arm) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Allen received medical clearance and proceeded to practice without limitation. His first start of the year was cut short after he took a hard hit to the arm, but he should be back in the lineup for Week 6 against the Giants. Coach Ron Rivera confirmed after Sunday's loss that he still views Allen as the starter, ahead of both Alex Smith and Dwayne Haskins (illness). Of course, Allen is probably just one or two bad games away from losing the job.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Not on track to play Week 6
Darnold (shoulder) isn't expected to be available for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
While the Jets haven't officially ruled Darnold out for Week 6, Cimini notes that the team is preparing Joe Flacco to make a second consecutive start behind center. Darnold previously hinted in an interview Monday that he might not be ready to play this week, noting that while his sprained right shoulder was "feeling a lot better" overall, he's still experiencing pain. Assuming Darnold shows enough improvement after another game off to recuperate, he should be ready to reclaim starting duties for the Jets' Week 7 game against the Bills. Whenever he returns, Darnold will have to make do without three-down back Le'Veon Bell, who the team released Tuesday after failing to work out a trade.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Browns' Baker Mayfield: Set for limited practiced
Coach Kevin Stefanski said that Mayfield (ribs) will be limited at practice Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Mayfield acknowledged earlier in the day that he's still feeling sore after taking a hit in the Browns' Week 5 win over the Colts. The Browns will restrict his practice reps to begin the week as a result, but the quarterback has indicated that he's confident he'll play Sunday against the Steelers.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Browns' Baker Mayfield: Practice status TBD
Mayfield (ribs) said he was unsure if he would practice Wednesday, but the quarterback remains confident that he'll play Sunday against the Steelers, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Mayfield acknowledged Wednesday that his "whole right side" is sore heading into Week 6, according to Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram. While Mayfield is clearly feeling the effects of a hit he sustained in the Browns' Week 5 win over the Colts and figures to have his practice reps impacted as a result, he appears prepared to play through aches and pains Sunday.

Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Football Team's Kyle Allen: Medically cleared to practice
Allen (arm) has received full medical clearance and is slated to participate in Washington's first Week 6 practice Wednesday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
After supplanting Dwayne Haskins as Washington's starting quarterback heading into a Week 5 matchup with the Rams, Allen had his season debut cut short when he took a big hit to his arm from a Los Angeles defender in the second quarter. Before departing, Allen moved the offense effectively, completing nine of 13 attempts for 74 yards while rushing for a seven-yard touchdown on his lone carry. Coach Ron Rivera confirmed after the game that -- if healthy -- Allen would retain the starting job over Alex Smith and Haskins, so the fact that the 24-year-old is taking part in the team's first practice of the week bodes well for his chances of being ready to go for Sunday's game against the Giants. Later Wednesday, Washington will release its first Week 6 injury report, which will reveal whether Allen was a limited or full participant in practice.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Four total TDs in blowout of Bills
Tannehill completed 21 of 28 attempts with 195 passing yards and three passing touchdowns, adding four carries for 42 yards and a rushing score during Tuesday's 42-16 win against Buffalo.
Tannehill's final score of the night went under review, after it appeared he may have drifted over the line of scrimmage before connecting with Jonnu Smith for a seven-yard TD. There was inconclusive evidence to overturn the call, however, enhancing an already prolific outing for the 32-year-old signal-caller. Tannehill has posted 13 multi-TD efforts in 14 starts since Week 7 of last season, as the Titans head into a Week 6 matchup against Houston's 21st-ranked scoring defense.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Loses unblemished record
Allen completed 26 of 41 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions during Tuesday's loss to the Titans. He also rushed four times for 18 yards.
The fantasy stats aren't terrible, but this just wasn't the Bills' night in an ugly 42-16 loss -- the team's first of the season -- with Allen misfiring several times and getting a bad bounce on one of the two picks. His 77.6 rating is by far his worst of the season and he tripled his 2020 interception total on one night. On the bright side, Allen has thrown for two-plus touchdowns all five games this season and now has 14 TD passes on the campaign. He and the Bills will get a chance to bounce back in another primetime game Monday against the Chiefs.

Jake Fromm QB | DET
Bills' Jake Fromm: Won't suit up Tuesday
Fromm (coach's decision) is inactive for Tuesday's game versus the Titans.
As the third quarterback, Fromm hasn't suited up for a game yet this season, as he's been a healthy scratch instead. Matt Barkley will continue to back up Josh Allen.
