  • Jayden Daniels QB | WAS

Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Leaves Sunday's game

Daniels injured his right hamstring during Sunday's game at Dallas, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.

Daniels sustained the injury when he was strip sacked on Washington's first possession of the second half, a play in which Cowboys defender Shemar James rolled into the back of his legs. The second-year signal-caller remained on the turf for a spell and then walked off the field with a visible limp. After a visit to the sideline tent, Daniels jogged to the locker room favoring his right leg, at which point he was deemed questionable to return. Marcus Mariota will lead the Commanders offense for as long as Daniels is unavailable.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: X-rays come back negative

X-rays on Young's right ankle were returned negative during Sunday's 13-6 win at the Jets, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Young's ankle was twisted when he took a sack late in the third quarter, and the Panthers eventually ruled out the third-year pro from returning to the contest. He thus finished Week 7 having completed 15 of 25 passes for 138 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions and rushing twice for 10 yards. If Young needs to miss any time due to the injury, Carolina will turn to veteran signal-caller Andy Dalton to direct the offense.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Leads Chiefs to easy win

Mahomes completed 26 of 35 passes for 286 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders. He added four rushes for 28 yards.

Mahomes had a very efficient day and jumped on the Raiders early, leading touchdown drives in each of the Chiefs' four possessions. He completed three passes of more than 20 yards, including a 44-yard connection with Travis Kelce on the team's first possession, and had passing scores from two, eight and three yards away. After throwing for only one touchdown in the first three games of the season, he has at least three passing scores in three of his last four contests. With Rashee Rice back in the mix and Xavier Worthy healthy, the Chiefs' offense should have the chance to take off in the second half of the campaign.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Another high-volume passing day

Hurts completed 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions while adding four carries for minus-10 yards in the Eagles' 28-22 win over the Vikings on Sunday.

Hurts took three sacks, but otherwise he had a near-flawless day that allowed him to finish with a perfect 158.3 passer rating. The reigning Super Bowl MVP had to get aggressive through the air for the third straight game, ultimately setting a new season high in passing yardage yet again after also doing so in Weeks 5 and 6. Hurts was clicking with both of his top receivers, as DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown accounted for 13 of his completions, 304 of his yards and all three of his touchdown passes. In addition to his 37- and 26-yard scoring strikes to Brown, Hurts also hit the star wideout for a critical 45-yard gain up the left sideline on third down with just under two minutes remaining, a play that would go on to allow Philadelphia to run out the clock. Hurts also connected with Smith for a 79-yard touchdown, the game's longest play through the air, in the third quarter, and the talented signal-caller will head into a Week 8 home rematch with the Giants boasting an 11:1 TD:INT on the campaign.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Being evaluated further

Coach Dave Canales said after Sunday's 13-6 win at the Jets that Young is undergoing further tests on his right ankle, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Young left Sunday's game in the second half due to an ankle injury and eventually was ruled out, ending Week 7 action with 138 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions on 15-for-25 passing along with two carries for 10 yards. If Young requires any time on the sideline, veteran QB Andy Dalton is on hand for spot starts.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Ruled out of Sunday's game

Young (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game at the Jets, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Before he departed in the second half, Young completed 15 of 25 passes for 138 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, had two carries for 10 yards and recovered his own fumble. Andy Dalton will step in for Young for the remainder of Sunday's contest.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Hurts ankle Sunday

Young was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Prior to his exit from the contest, Young completed 15 of his 25 passing attempts for 138 yards and a TD and carried twice for 10 yards. With Young injured, Andy Dalton is in at QB for the Panthers.

  • Cardinals' Jacoby Brissett: Starting for Murray again

Brissett will start in place of an inactive Kyler Murray (foot) on Sunday versus the Packers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Brissett is subbing in for Murray for a second contest in a row after the former completed 27 of 44 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns and one interception and turned three carries into 19 yards in the Cardinals' Week 6 loss at Indianapolis. In Week 7, though, Brissett will be facing a tougher test in Green Bay's 11th-ranked pass defense (207.2 yards per game). Sunday's outing may be Brissett's last spot start for the foreseeable future, as Murray expected to return to action Week 9 in Dallas after a Week 8 bye, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

  • Josh Johnson QB | WAS

Commanders' Josh Johnson: Emergency QB duties again Sunday

Johnson (coach's decision) is inactive but serving as the emergency third quarterback for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

The well-traveled veteran will fill his usual role behind Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota, namely, being available as an emergency option should both his position mates exit the contest due to injury, illness or ejection. Johnson has just five regular-season pass attempts since the start of the 2022 season, none which have come in 2025.

  • Kyler Murray QB | ARI

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Sitting out again in Week 7

Murray (foot) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Since emerging from a Week 5 loss to the Titans with a mid-foot sprain, Murray hasn't been able to log more than a limited practice (four in all) over the last two weeks. He was listed as questionable for each of the past two contests, but like in Week 6, insiders Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported beforehand that Murray was trending toward another absence, with the latter noting that the QB is in line to play in the Cardinals' next game Monday, Nov. 3 at Dallas following a Week 8 bye. With Murray again in street clothes, backup Jacoby Brissett will direct Arizona's offense for a second straight game.
