Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Falls short on SNF
Prescott completed 25 of 39 pass attempts for 266 yards and a touchdown, adding 30 yards on three rush attempts in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Rams.
Prescott was having a steady night against a tough Rams defense, coming a questionable offensive pass interference call away from potentially tying or taking the lead late in the fourth quarter. Overall, it appears that new head coach Mike McCarthy is more willing to take risks with his play calling, which could result in bigger fantasy totals (at the expense of efficiency) for his QB. The addition of 17th overall pick CeeDee Lamb (five catches for 59 yards) to Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Ezekiel Elliott gives Prescott the best supporting cast he has ever had as a pro. Prescott gets a much softer matchup against the Falcons defense Week 2, so we may see the full potential of the Cowboys offense unleashed.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Posts 275 yards with no TDs
Goff completed 20 of 31 pass attempts for 275 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 20-17 win over Dallas.
Goff turned in a solid performance (64.5 completion percentage, 8.9 YPA) against an elite pass rush, but the lack of touchdowns hurt his overall performance from a fantasy perspective. The 25-year-old had a career-worst 22:16 TD:INT last season while throwing for 4,638 yards. If Goff can get closer to the 30.0 touchdown and 9.5 interception averages from his first two years as a starter, he could become a top-10 fantasy arm again after a down year in 2019. Up next is a road matchup against the Eagles on Sunday.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Two TD passes in loss
Garoppolo completed 19 of 33 pass attempts for 259 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Cardinals. He added nine yards on his only carry.
Garoppolo got off to a quick start by connecting with Raheem Mostert for a 76-yard touchdown in the first quarter. He averaged just 5.7 yards per attempt on his other 32 throws and perhaps suffered from George Kittle (leg) being hampered by an injury, though he did manage to connect with Jerick McKinnon to take the lead in a back-and-forth fourth quarter. Overall it was a solid season debut for Garoppolo, who will look to do more of the same next Sunday against the Jets.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Orchestrates win over 49ers
Murray completed 26 of 40 passes for one touchdown and one interception during Sunday's 24-20 win over the 49ers. He also carried 13 times for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Murray struggled to complete passes at times against a tough San Francisco defense, averaging just 5.8 yards per attempt. He still completed 65 percent of his passes, however, and notably connected 14 times with new wideout weapon DeAndre Hopkins. Murray was also electric as a runner, leading the team in rushing and averaging a gaudy 7.0 yards per attempt thanks to a 22-yard touchdown scamper in the fourth quarter. All in all it was an excellent season debut for Murray, who should be considered a strong fantasy option for next Sunday's home matchup with Washington.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Shows off wheels in Week 1
Burrow completed 23 of 36 passes for 193 yards and one interception in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Chargers and ran the ball eight times for 46 yards and a touchdown.
The rookie struggled early behind a porous Bengals offensive line, getting sacked three times in the first half, but Burrow still made an impact late in the first quarter by taking a designed QB draw 23 yards for his team's only TD. He then found his rhythm as a passer late and appeared to lead Cincy to a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, only for his three-yard TD pass to A.J. Green with 11 seconds left on the clock to get overturned when Green was flagged for offensive pass interference. Burrow then had to watch from the bench as Randy Bullock shanked a 31-yard field goal that would have sent the game to overtime. The young quarterback showed why he was the first overall pick in the 2020 draft despite the disappointing outcome, and he won't often face a pass rush as dangerous as the one spearheaded by Joey Bosa -- although he will face Myles Garrett and the Browns on the road in Week 2.

Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Chargers' Tyrod Taylor: Does little in win
Taylor completed 16 of his 30 attempts for 208 yards in the 16-13 win Sunday over the Bengals.
The veteran quarterback surprisingly did little with his legs, finishing the afternoon with six carries for seven yards. Taylor struggled to get in sync throughout the first half, routinely opting for safe throws while rarely looking downfield. A 33-yard strike to Hunter Henry did set up a field goal at the end of the half, which seemed to propel the offense out of its funk, but even then Taylor and company saw only a modest bump in passing yardage in the second half. The trio of Henry, Mike Williams and Keenan Allen unsurprisingly warranted most of Taylor's attention, but dynamic pass-catching back Austin Ekeler was mysteriously absent in the passing game plan as he caught his lone target for three yards. A heavy emphasis on the rushing attack masked Taylor's inefficiencies on offense in the come-from-behind effort, but it was hardly a sterling debut for the new starting quarterback.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Panthers' Teddy Bridgewater: Totals 270 yards
Bridgewater completed 22 of 34 passes for 270 yards and one touchdown in Week 1 against the Raiders. He also chipped in 26 rushing yards on four attempts.
Bridgewater was fairly unimpressive early on, completing only short passes. However, he opened things up a bit in the second half, particularly on a deep 75-yard touchdown pass to Robby Anderson. Reports suggested that Bridgewater was looking mobile during camp, and while he won't rival the elite rushing quarterbacks, it is noteworthy that he added 26 yards on the ground. He'll look to build on this performance in a Week 2 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Plays well given circumstances
Stafford completed 24 of 42 passes for 297 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Sunday's 27-23 loss to Chicago. He added 23 rushing yards on five carries.
Playing without top receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) and one of his best linemen in Halapoulivaati Vaitai (foot), Stafford should have had another passing touchdown considering rookie running back D'Andre Swift dropped a potential game-winning score in the closing seconds. However, outside of throwing a pick in the fourth quarter on a forced pass to his acting No. 1 wideout, Marvin Jones, Stafford generally played well against a tough Bears defensive front. If each of Desmond Trufant (hamstring), Justin Coleman (hamstring) and Jeff Okudah (hamstring) is unable to play in Week 2, the Lions defense could struggle to defend Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, which could lead to an even heavier workload for Stafford and the rest of the Detroit passing game.

Gardner Minshew QB | ARI
Jaguars' Gardner Minshew: Dismantles Colts' secondary
Minshew competed 19 of his 20 pass attempts for 173 yards and three touchdowns in Week 1 against the Colts. He also chipped in five rushes for 19 yards.
Minshew didn't have to throw much as the Jaguars surprisingly found themselves leading the Colts. However, when he took to the air, he dissected the opposing secondary with only one of his attempts falling incomplete. He also delivered a trio of touchdowns, coming from six, 15 and 22 yards. Minshew will look to maintain this type of performance in Week 2 when the Jaguars take on the Titans.
-
Derek Carr QB | NO
Raiders' Derek Carr: Throws for 239 yards
Carr completed 22 of his 30 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown in Week 1 against Carolina.
Carr just missed a long touchdown when he found Henry Ruggs wide open down the field for a 45-yard gain that ended one yard shy of the end zone in the first quarter. He delivered another beautiful pass for a 23-yard score to Nelson Agholor just before halftime. While Carr took advantage of a weak defense, he looked willing to push the ball down the field -- something his critics often claim he fails to do. He'll look to follow up this performance in a more difficult matchup against the Saints in Week 2.
