  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Steelers' Mason Rudolph: Healthy enough to practice

Coach Mike Tomlin said Rudolph (concussion) would be a full participant if the Steelers were practicing Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Rudolph is still in the concussion protocol, but he's apparently made enough progress to resume full participation in practice. It's a strong sign he'll be ready to play after a Week 7 bye, with the Steelers hosting the Dolphins in a Monday night game Week 8.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Not at practice

Mayfield (hip) isn't practicing Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Mayfield will miss practice for a second straight day before the Browns head into their bye week. With tests on the quarterback's hip coming back negative for structural damage, coach Freddie Kitchens said he has no doubt Mayfield will be ready to play in the Browns' next game Oct. 27 against the Patriots.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Titans' Marcus Mariota: Sent to bench

Mariota will be replaced by Ryan Tannehill as the team's starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

There were rumblings after Mariota was replaced by Tannehill late in Sunday's game that he could be heading for the bench, and coach Mike Vrabel confirmed that notion. Mariota played turnover-free football the first five games of the campaign, and completed 61.7 percent of passes during the Titans' 2-3 start. Things took a turn for the worst in Denver, when the former No. 2 overall pick completed just seven of 18 passes for 63 yards and two interceptions. Mariota had started 61 of 62 games for the Titans to this point in his career, but with the 25-year-old in the final year of his rookie contract, he could be looking for a new team at seasons end.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Starting for Week 7

Tannehill will start Sunday's game against the Chargers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After completing 13 of 16 passes for 144 yards and an interception replacing former No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota during last week's game, coach Mike Vrabel elected to stick with Tannehill. The Titans offense has been stagnant the past two weeks with Mariota under center, so the 31-year-old will get his first start since last season with the Dolphins. It's hard to deploy Tannehill in fantasy lineups this week despite the fact that he does face a decent matchup against a banged up Chargers defense for Week 7.

  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Steelers' Mason Rudolph: Remains in concussion protocol

Rudolph still is in the concussion protocol as of Tuesday evening, Mark Kaboly of The Athletic reports.

With the Steelers on bye and not taking the field again until Monday, Oct. 28 against the Dolphins, there isn't much urgency for Rudolph to get over his concussion, at least not yet. On Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported that Rudolph is aiming to be cleared by the team the Steelers reconvene next week, so plenty of time remains to get through all five steps of the protocol. During his sole absence this past Sunday against the Chargers, Devlin Hodges led the team to a 24-17 victory, completing 15 of 20 passes for 132 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Gets day of rest Tuesday

Coach Freddie Kitchens said he gave Mayfield (hip) the day off Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

After stretching and going through warmups, Mayfield was a spectator for individual drills, which Kitchens chalked up as a rest day to ease some of the physical burden. Kitchens added that tests on Mayfield's sore hip came back clear, and he doesn't expect the quarterback to miss any game action, per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal. With the Browns on their bye week, Mayfield won't receive an official practice designation until Wednesday, Oct. 23, in preparation for a Week 8 road matchup with the Patriots.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Goes through stretching in practice

Mayfield (hip) participated in stretching and warmups Tuesday but was sidelined for individual drills, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Mayfield suffered and played through a hip injury during the second half of the Browns' loss to the Seahawks on Sunday, and while coach Freddie Kitchens did say Monday that he didn't expect Mayfield to miss any practice time, it looks like the quarterback will be limited during whatever practices the Browns do have during the bye week. Fortunately, with the bye week, Mayfield will have a full two weeks to recover before the team's matchup with the Patriots on Oct. 27.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Not expected to miss practice

Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens said Mayfield (hip) "is fine," and he is not expected to miss any practice time, Nick Shook of the Browns' official site reports.

Mayfield played through a hip injury over the final 25 minutes of Sunday's loss to Seattle. He went to the locker room to get checked out and was back on the field the finish out the game without missing any offensive plays. Mayfield described the hip as "tender" following the game.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: No benching imminent

Head coach Bruce Arians emphasized Monday that he isn't considering benching Winston, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

The question was bound to be asked after Winston doubled his season interception total to 10 with five picks and also lost a fumble against the Panthers on Sunday. Winston bought himself some slack with some impressive performances leading up to the debacle, and the fact current backup Ryan Griffin has yet to take his first regular-season snap helps Winston's case. However, when Blaine Gabbert (shoulder) potentially comes off injured reserve at some point after Week 9, Arians will have a more experienced arm to turn to should Winston continue to struggle.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Zero TDs in one-point loss

Stafford completed 18 of 32 attempts for 265 yards without a touchdown or interception during Monday's 23-22 loss to Green Bay.

Stafford got the Lions off to a hot start, but the fact Detroit had to settle for five field goals over the course of the game ultimately proved to be the difference in the outcome. Fantasy owners likely aren't happy either, as the quarterback had two potential passing touchdowns that rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson failed to convert into scores. It'll be tough for Stafford to rebound at home in Week 7 against a Vikings defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.4) in 2019.
