C.J. Beathard QB | JAC
49ers' C.J. Beathard: Nears 300 yards passing
Beathard completed 24 of 51 passes for 294 yards and one interception during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Cardinals. He added 16 rushing yards and a touchdown on three carries.
Beathard didn't have many quality weapons available at his disposal in the absence of Pierre Garcon (neck). His offensive line didn't do him any favors, either, considering the rookie signal caller was sacked five times by game's end. With that said, Beathard fought his way through the end of the contest and finished the day with a career-high in passing yardage, thanks in part to running back Carlos Hyde, who mustered 84 receiving yards on a slew of dumpoffs. However, even if Beathard is able to hold on to the starting gig for another week, he won't be an appealing fantasy option despite a prime matchup against a Giants secondary that was just torched for 311 yards and four touchdowns by Jared Goff and the Rams.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Enjoys career day versus Giants
Goff completed 14 of 22 pass attempts for 311 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's 51-17 win over the Giants.
Goff averaged an outstanding 14.1 yards per attempt in this one thanks to a pair of long touchdown passes -- a 52-yard strike to Robert Woods that he followed with a 67-yard deep ball to Sammy Watkins just over two minutes later. He added short hookups with Tyler Higbee and Woods to complete his first four-touchdown performance. Goff's production had waned in a trio of touch matchups leading into the week, but he displayed the big-play ability that garnered attention through the season's opening weeks. He'll look to build on this career game next week against a struggling Texans defensive unit.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Throws two touchdowns Sunday
Mariota completed 19 of 28 passes for 218 yards with two touchdowns and an interception while rushing three times for six yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over Baltimore.
Mariota hit Rishard Matthews for a 16-yard score in the first quarter and added an 11-yard touchdown to Eric Decker in the fourth. Those two wideouts came into this one with just one touchdown between them, and rookie first-rounder Corey Davis finally returned from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2, so things are looking up for Mariota's receiving corps. The third-year signal caller has thrown for more than 256 yards in a game only once this season, but he looks primed to pick things up down the stretch.

Tom Savage QB | DET
Texans' Tom Savage: Comeback attempt falls short
Savage completed 19 of 44 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown while losing one of two fumbles in Sunday's 20-14 loss to the Colts.
Savage threw a 34-yard touchdown to DeAndre Hopkins with 6:11 to play in the fourth quarter for the offense's first points after a defensive touchdown accounted for all of Houston's first-half scoring. He almost completed the comeback in the last minute, but he threw three consecutive incompletions before fumbling on the game's final play after getting to 1st-and-goal on the Colts' seven-yard line. The major drop-off from Deshaun Watson (knee) to Savage is apparent.

Jacoby Brissett QB | ARI
Colts' Jacoby Brissett: Throws two long touchdowns to Hilton
Brissett completed 20 of 30 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns while adding two carries for 12 yards and losing a fumble in Sunday's 20-14 win over Houston.
Brissett connected with T.Y. Hilton for a 45-yard touchdown in the first quarter and would have taken at least a 10-0 lead into the locker room if not for a 34-yard sack-fumble touchdown by Houston with under a minute left before halftime. The 23-year-old quarterback added an 80-yard score to Hilton in the second half while topping 300 passing yards for just the second time in his career. He'll be a serviceable option for the rest of the season with Andrew Luck (shoulder) on injured reserve.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Aggravates shoulder injury
Winston said he aggravated the AC joint sprain in his right shoulder injury during Sunday's 30-10 loss at New Orleans, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
Winston ended the first half by landing hard on his right shoulder via a hit from Saints defensive end Alex Okafor. According to Winston, team doctors examined him at halftime and opted to rule him out for the rest of the game, leading to Ryan Fitzpatrick's third appearance of the season. Considering Winston has suffered a few setbacks with the shoulder since suffering the initial injury in Week 6, the Buccaneers may consider a respite to get Winston back to full health. Either way, his status will be one to watch in the coming days.
-
Andy Dalton QB | PHI
Bengals' Andy Dalton: Held scoreless
Dalton completed 10 of 18 passes for 136 yards in Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Jaguars.
Dalton came up against a vaunted Jaguars pass defense and lost his go-to target, A.J. Green, to ejection in the second quarter. Green's ouster from the contest put Dalton in a bind, as he has relied on the Pro Bowl wideout for 35.6 percent of his passing yards this season. Assuming Green is back next week, Dalton is a decent play against a middle-of-the-road Titans pass defense. He's still managed to throw multiple touchdown passes in four of six games coordinated by Bill Lazor.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Exits Sunday's game
Winston was forced out of Sunday's game against the Saints with a shoulder injury.
With Winston nursing a shoulder issue, Ryan Fitzpatrick took over at QB for the Bucs on Sunday. Prior to his exit from the contest, Winston had completed seven of 13 pass attempts for 67 yards.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater: Activation on tap for Week 10
Sources close to the Vikings indicate that the team intends to activate Bridgewater from the Physically Unable to Perform list ahead of their Week 10 game against the Redskins, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
Since returning to practice a couple weeks ago, Bridgewater's surgically repaired left knee has responded well to the increased activity, which has apparently made the Vikings confident enough in his health to activate him shortly before the 21-day window to do so expires next week. Bridgewater is expected to be a full participant in practices throughout the upcoming week before dressing for the game against the Redskins, though he'll likely serve as the team's backup with Case Keenum acquitting himself well in the No. 1 role since Sam Bradford aggravated a knee injury in Week 5. If Keenum should struggle in his subsequent outings, however, Bridgewater could be called upon for his first game action since the 2015 campaign at some point later this season.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Team not counting on 2017 return
Rodgers had two plates inserted into his fractured right collarbone during his Oct. 19 surgery, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. While Rapoport notes that it is "theoretically possible" for Rodgers to come off injured reserve in Week 15 or later this season, the Packers "do not expect" him to play again in 2017.
According to Rapoport, Rodgers' collarbone was displaced when he was driven into the ground by the Vikings' Anthony Barr in an Oct. 15 game, resulting in a more complex procedure than the one he required on his left (non-throwing) collarbone back in 2013. Rodgers missed seven games as a result of that injury, but he'll be sidelined for at least eight weeks this time around by virtue of being placed on IR. Rapoport also notes that the 13 screws Rodgers revealed he required for the procedure during a recent interview with Conan O'Brien on the TBS late-night talk show "Conan" wasn't an exaggeration, and could result in a lengthened recovery timetable for the franchise signal caller. Due to the extensiveness of Rodgers' surgery, the Packers appear prepared to proceed with Brett Hundley as their starting quarterback the rest of the season.
