Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater: Continuing to make progress
Bridgewater (knee) has impressed his Vikings teammates and coaches with the zip on his passes and his work during individual drills, ESPN's Ben Goessling reports.
Bridgewater was recently cleared to make more lateral movements, which has allowed him to throw to teammates and take part in most of Minnesota's quarterback drills. While his passing ability has reminded teammates of the player he was prior to last year's devastating injury, Bridgewater is still unable participate in team drills, run full speed, plant or cut on his left leg, or absorb contact to his knee. That details the steep hill Bridgewater still needs to clear before returning in full, and there remains no solid timetable for him to do so, but the signal-caller is at least making a positive impression on his coworkers with his continued progress.

Cardale Jones QB | LAC
Bills' Cardale Jones: Outlook not so bright
Jones has been getting fourth-string type reps during this week's minicamp practices, The Buffalo News reports.
It's a pretty open competition for the backup spot behind Tyrod Taylor, though Jones seems to be falling behind T.J. Yates and rookie Nathan Peterman. Making matters worse is that Yates has more experience in new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison's system, while Peterman is the draft choice of the same new coaching regime that didn't pick Jones, a fourth-rounder in 2016 under coach Rex Ryan.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo: Dealing with minor leg injury
Garoppolo appeared to be limited at Tuesday's OTAs with what ESPN's Mike Reiss describes as a minor leg-related injury.
With Garoppolo not participating in drills, third-stringer Jacoby Brissett saw added QB reps Tuesday. At this stage, Garoppolo's leg issue doesn't look a big concern and he's entrenched as Tom Brady's top backup in the wake of an offseason filled with speculation that the Patriots may elect to move Garoppolo, who is now in the final year of his rookie contract. An all-in approach for the coming season prevailed, however, and there's also been chatter that the Patriots could find ways (such as an extension or their franchise tag) to keep Garoppolo around beyond 2017.

Ryan Nassib QB | JAC
Saints' Ryan Nassib: Heading to Big Easy
Nassib signed a contract Monday with the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
After being released by the Giants earlier this offseason, Nassib heads down to New Orleans to compete with Garrett Grayson for a spot behind Drew Brees and Chase Daniel on the depth chart. The former fourth-round selection has only attempted 10 regular-season passes over the past four years with the Giants.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Full participant in drills
Mariota (fibula) was a full participant in team drills during Tuesday's OTA, Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com reports.
After having limited participation in OTAs last week, Mariota was given the green light for full-team drills on Tuesday. The third-year quarterback is making great strides since breaking his right fibula in December and should be healthy enough to be a full participant in training camp at this rate. However, nothing is guaranteed and the Titans will likely exercise extreme caution before throwing their franchise quarterback to the wolves. Look for more updates to come either next week during minicamp or once training camp begins in July.

Tom Savage QB | DET
Texans' Tom Savage: Building chemistry
Savage has been building chemistry with the Texans' young wide-receiver corps during OTAs, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. "It's helping a lot," the quarterback said. "That's all it's about, is chemistry with these guys and competing against one of the best defenses in the NFL."
Savage heads into training camp as the No. 1 quarterback for the first time in his NFL career. While coach Bill O'Brien remains adamant that Savage is his starter, rookie first-round pick Deshaun Watson is clearly the quarterback of the future, leaving many to question if or when the Texans may opt to turn to him. Until that happens, however, Savage, who recorded 46 completions on 73 attempts for 461 yards in three games last season, will continue to establish rapport with DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and the likes as he hopes to strengthen his hold on the starting gig in camp.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Back in tip-top shape
Wilson has made a full recovery from his slew of maladies last season and looks as good as ever moving around during practice, according to coach Pete Carroll, ESPN's Sheil Kapadia reports.
Wilson didn't last long before suffering his first injury last season, as he surfaced from Week 1 with a high-ankle sprain, later suffering a sprained MCL and strained pectoral over the course of the campaign. Because of those ailments, the usually mobile Wilson was noticeably unable to move around the way he normally does, which contributed toward a statistical drop-off. In fact, with no reliable running game or protection to speak of, Wilson accounted for 13 fewer passing touchdowns and threw three more interceptions than in 2015, when he also rushed for almost 300 more yards. Thanks to the time off since last season, Wilson has returned to the Seahawks in exquisite shape, which has coach Carroll excited about him potentially rediscovering to the best form of his career.

Connor Shaw QB | CHI
Bears' Connor Shaw: Remaining in Chicago
Shaw (lower leg), who was reportedly waived earlier Tuesday, will actually remain with the team, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The reason for the Bears' change of heart stems from a left knee injury suffered by Mark Sanchez in Tuesday's OTA. Sanchez is expected to return for training camp, but until then Shaw will be bumped up to the No. 3 option on the depth chart. Unless Sanchez's injury worsens or Shaw can win over the approval of the coaching staff in the next week, it appears as if the 25-year-old's release will be impending.

Brian Hoyer QB | LV
49ers' Brian Hoyer: Making strides as No. 1 quarterback
Hoyer looked poised leading the first-team offense during OTAs, in part because of his previous time spent in head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. "It's definitely easier for me to call the plays this time around," the veteran quarterback noted. "I remember last time kind of having to think about it, whereas now I find myself knowing that when Kyle starts to call a play I can kind of put it together. ...It comes naturally to me."
Hoyer spent two seasons with Shanahan in Cleveland during the 2014 season, where Shanahan was the offensive coordinator. Hoyer started 13 games that season, registering 3,326 passing yards with 12 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Now the two reunite in San Francisco after gaining valuable experience over the past two seasons on different teams. Since Hoyer has the base of the offense already down, the veteran quarterback could be in store for a productive fantasy season, especially given Shanahan's quarterback-friendly offensive schemes.

Thad Lewis QB | BAL
Thaddeus Lewis: Receives full medical clearance
Lewis (knee) recently received full medical clearance and shouldn't face any restrictions when NFL training camps open in July, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Lewis inked a one-year deal with the 49ers last March and was expected to compete for a backup gig, but was removed from the mix after suffering a season-ending torn ACL in the team's preseason opener. With his knee now fully healed, the well-traveled Lewis, who has spent time with seven NFL teams, should draw interest from clubs still searching for a No. 2 or 3 quarterback. Lewis has posted a respectable 82.2 quarterback rating in seven career regular-season games, though he hasn't appeared in a contest since 2013.
