Bridgewater (knee) posted a video of himself going through agility drills on his Instagram on Thursday, Jason Gonzalez of the Star Tribune reports.

This is the second video Bridgewater has shared over the past couple months, the first showing the quarterback dropping back and throwing a football. The new video suggests that the quarterback, who suffered a torn ACL last August, may be further along in the recovery process than expected. The Vikings decided earlier in the week to not pick up his fifth-year option, potentially making the 24-year-old a free agent after this season. The team has yet to announce any sort of timetable for Bridgewater's return.

Mariota (fibula) claims that he's a week or two away from "really full-head running," NFL.com's Conor Orr reports.

On the plus side, Mariota has been recovering quicker than originally anticipated from his broken right fibula. The QB has been jogging recently, but running full speed without issues would be a huge step for Mariota, considering his running ability is part of what makes him so dangerous as a player. The Titans will likely be cautious with their franchise quarterback going forward, but it seems at this point as if he'll be ready for training camp.

Petty, who is expected to recover from his shoulder injury in time for OTAs, will compete with Josh McCown and Christian Hackenberg for the starting quarterback job, ESPN.com's Rich Cimini reports.

Petty struggled when given opportunities last season in place of the ineffective and injured Ryan Fitzpatrick, though it wasn't bad enough for the team to turn to Hackenberg, who has to be viewed as a long shot to win the job. The Jets obviously don't have a ton of faith in their young quarterbacks with the addition of the well-traveled McCown in March, and even if Petty wins the job, he'll likely represent one of the lower-end fantasy producers at his position.

Hackenberg will compete with Bryce Petty and Josh McCown during training camp for the starting quarterback job, ESPN.com's Rich Cimini reports.

Hackenberg didn't take a single snap last season despite the Jets' significant struggles under center, and while McCown is certainly the frontrunner given his experience in the league, it's not out of the question for Hackenberg to beat out the veteran. Either way, the Jets' passing attack isn't expected to be prolific this season, so Hackenberg won't carry much fantasy appeal if he comes away with the starting gig.

Bridgewater (knee) won't have his fifth-year option exercised by the Vikings, Tom Pelissero of USA Today Sports reports.

This announcement comes as little surprise after it was announced last week that it was unlikely the Vikings would pick up Bridgewater's option. The team made clear that they do want to keep the quarterback past this season, but they aren't willing to guarantee his contract after the season-ending knee injury he suffered last August. Bridgewater remains without a timetable for return, leaving Sam Bradford as the starter for the foreseeable future.

Wenning was released by the Giants on Monday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.

Wenning's release comes on the heels of the Giants drafting quarterback Davis Webb in the third round. Now a free agent, Wenning will look to catch on as a reserve quarterback elsewhere.

The Bills drafted Pitt quarterback Nathan Peterman in the fifth round of this weekend's draft, setting the stage for some competition with Jones and Josh Woodrum for the No. 3 job.

Veteran T.J. Yates is expected to get the No. 2 role behind Tyrod Taylor, though we suppose if both Jones and Peterman make great strides this summer that could alter the landscape. As it stands now, the second-year Jones and the rookie Peterman appear to have a full-out competition ahead of them to make the team. The practice squad is an option, although, given the upside of each QB, it's likely another team would snap them up.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that Beathard will not compete for a starting job as a rookie, Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Despite spending a third-round draft pick on the quarterback out of Iowa, the 49ers are committed to developing the young arm behind the seasoned veteran, Brian Hoyer. Beathard could potentially wind up on the practice squad if both Hoyer and Matt Barkley enter camp healthy. While the rookie doesn't have the characteristics of a high-end fantasy quarterback, working with Shanahan -- who has gotten the most out of his quarterbacks -- could result in some fantasy-friendly performances down the road.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that Hoyer is still the team's starting quarterback despite taking C.J. Beathard in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Beathard was considered a developmental draft selection, so Hoyer's starting job is in no danger and Shanahan confirmed that sentiment Friday. The journeyman quarterback has shown flashes of fantasy usefulness over the past few seasons, but injuries have always cut the 32-year-old's seasons short. Health and inconsistent results will keep veteran's value depressed heading into drafts next season, but there is some potential for a career year under Shanahan, for whom Hoyer threw for a career-high 3,326 yards in 2014 when both were with the Browns.

The Bills selected Peterman in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 171st overall.

Peterman (6-foot-2, 226 pounds) was expected to go at least a round earlier than this, so this looks like a good value for the Bills. Peterman presumably fell this far due to a perceived lack of upside, but the former Tennessee transfer deserves some credit for quietly playing very well the last two years. Despite only having one decent receiver on his roster, Peterman threw for 2,855 yards (9.3 YPA), 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2016. He'll try to stick as Buffalo's third quarterback.
