Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Turns in another stellar practice Sunday
Winston continued to impress in Sunday's seven-on-seven drills, completing a high percentage of passes from both the pocket and on the move, the team's official site reports.
The second-year quarterback continues to demonstrate ample proficiency at connecting on a wide variety of throws from anywhere on the field. Winston's Sunday highlights included a tight completion to Vincent Jackson between two defenders, an impressive hook-up with Cameron Brate while rolling right to escape pressure, a nifty downfield touch pass that found the hands of Adam Humphries, a perfectly-timed back shoulder fade to Evan Spencer, and another dart down the middle to Brate in traffic. While he did get picked off twice overall, one came off a tipped pass that linebacker Daryl Smith nabbed out of the air, while the other was on a Hail Mary-type heave that cornerback Alterraun Verner managed to haul in. Winston's extensive offseason preparation appears to be paying significant dividends in the early going of camp.

Taylor Heinicke QB | LAC
Vikings' Taylor Heinicke: Out for three months with torn tendon in ankle
Heinicke will be out for three months after tearing a tendon in his left ankle in mid-July, Ben Goessling of ESPN reports.
Heinicke sustained the injury after attempting to enter his friend's home after the two had been locked out. The third-string quarterback attempted to budge the door open with his foot, but slipped and had his foot go through the window, resulting in a fairly serious injury. Clearly, this is a freak injury and the Vikings are hoping for a recovery by mid-season, but the damage to Heinicke's ankle only holds fantasy importance in the deepest of leagues.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Impressive while on the move in opening camp session
Winston looked sharp while throwing on the move on multiple occasions during Thursday's opening training camp session, Joe Kania of the team's official site reports.
The Bucs had all of their quarterbacks on the move frequently during Thursday's opening camp session, giving Winston an opportunity to flash some of the newfound mobility that his 20-pound offseason weight loss has made possible. The sophomore signal-caller was effective while carrying out numerous bootlegs and impressively kept his eyes downfield while rolling out. If Winston is able to add a legitimate running dimension to his repertoire in Year 2, his expected leap forward would be that much more significant.

Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Broncos' Trevor Siemian: Should work with starters Friday
Although Mark Sanchez worked with the starters on the first day of training camp, Siemian is expected to get half of the first-team reps, the Denver Post reports.
Siemian will likely replace Sanchez as the first-team QB on Friday, with head coach Gary Kubiak saying he'll switch things up on a day-to-day basis. Meanwhile, rookie Paxton Lynch is technically part of the competition, but he isn't expected to get any first-team reps during the early part of camp.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Shows up early for training camp
Winston reported several hours early for training camp and joined the rookies for on-field work Wednesday, Joe Kania of the team's official site reports.
The sophomore quarterback, whose productive offseason has included a 20-pound weight loss, was apparently chomping at the bit to get training camp started, reporting several hours earlier than required for veterans and joining the rookies on the field during a morning session. Winston's gesture is yet another sign of his stated intent to become a true team leader in 2016, an approach that has not gone unnoticed by some of his most prominent teammates. "I know Jameis wants to get better," running back Doug Martin said, "and he's getting better. You see that he's going to be better and that's what bring optimism in this organization."

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Found not guilty of DUI
Prescott was found not guilty in his DUI trial on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Prescott was arrested for driving under the influence back in March, but can now head to Oxnard, CA for training camp. The rookie figures to compete with Kellen Moore for the main backup gig behind Tony Romo.

Paxton Lynch QB | PIT
Broncos' Paxton Lynch: Believes he can play right away
Lynch has stated that he can compete for the starting job sooner than even he anticipated, 9NEWS reports.
Lynch's comments came shortly after a report claiming that Denver's front office would like to see Lynch take over at some point this season. Many assumed during the draft process that Lynch would require a redshirt year before taking the reins of an NFL offense, given his lack of experience making reads. Denver's offense, predicated on the running game and boot-action passes - which can limit reads to half the field - can certainly mask some of that inexperience, however. Mark Sanchez should still be the leader in the clubhouse, but it seems as though both the team and Lynch are looking toward being aggressive with his development.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo: Being prepped for Weeks 1 through 4
Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels noted Wednesday that both Garoppolo and Tom Brady -- who is suspended for the first four weeks of the season -- will "get plenty of reps" in training camp, WEEI.com reports.
Rookie Jacoby Brissett will also see his share of reps, but NFL.com relays that coach Bill Belichick has made it clear that the team's priority is to get Garoppolo "ready for the start of the season, the Arizona game" in Week 1. Meanwhile Belichick reiterated Wednesday what has been assumed; "Tom (Brady) will return as the starting quarterback when he comes back, but in the meantime we can prioritize the first part of our schedule." Thus, barring an injury, Garoppolo is in line to play against the Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans and Bills out of the gate this coming season, while Brady will return to action on Oct. 9 against the Browns.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: McCarthy being cautious with quarterback in preseason
Head coach Mike McCarthy didn't say Rodgers will be specifically limited in the preseason, but noted that the Packers will definitely be "conscious of how much Aaron's throwing the ball.", Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
McCarthy is simply being careful with his franchise quarterback to start the season. Rodgers is under no restrictions following his offseason arthroscopic knee surgery, and is good to go for the 2016 season.

Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
49ers' Blaine Gabbert: Early leader for starting job
Gabbert is the early leader for the starting quarterback job heading into training camp, CSN Bay Area reports.
Gabbert's late-season success last year and his healthy presence during OTAs are the likely reason he gets the early lead in the position battle. He provides a more stable option in comparison to Colin Kaepernick, but the latter could surpass him on the depth chart if he has a strong training camp and preseason.
