Thad Lewis QB | BAL
Thad Lewis promoted from practice squad to starter
With EJ Manuel being sidelined for a few weeks because of an LCL sprain in his right knee, Bills coach Doug Marrone has to start someone at quarterback heading into Week 6 vs. Cincinnati. Though, in a very shocking move, Marrone announced Monday during his weekly radio spot with WGR 550 that practice squad quarterback Thad Lewis will be elevated to the active roster to start Sunday.
"Thaddeus has been with us the whole time, knows the system now, has been practicing with us and traveling with us," Marrone said. "So at the point where we are now he gives us the best opportunity. He has experience. He has played in games. He knows the system.
"The situation now is Thad gives us the best chance. I think we’ll play to his strengths and he does know the whole playbook now. He can extend plays. He can run. He can throw it. We’re happy with what he’s done in the practices here that we’ve watched him. So now we’re going to give him an opportunity to see what he has."

49ers get several minor contributions
The 49ers got several minor offensive contributions in their win over Houston. Wideout Kyle Williams ran 13 yards on an end-around, and fullback Bruce Miller caught a 4-yard pass.
Backup quarterback Colt McCoy took three kneeldowns to salt away the victory. Wideout Jon Baldwin started and was targeted twice but did not make a catch.

Sam Bradford QB | MIN
Sam Bradford throws for three touchdowns
Rams quarterback Sam Bradford didn't put forth the best statistics during the Week 5 home game against Jacksonville. Bradford did lead the Rams to a win, however.
Bradford didn't rack up a lot of yardage as he averaged just 6.5 yards per completion. He went 19 of 34 for just 222 yards in the game, but managed three touchdown passes and no interceptions for a QB rating of 105.3.
Bradford hit Lance Kendricks for a 16-yard touchdown in the second quarter and followed that by hitting Austin Pettis about 10 minutes later for a 4-yard TD. Bradford finished his day by finding Pettis for a 31-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
Bradford also rushed five times for 4 yards in the game. He has 10 touchdowns this season compared to just three interceptions for the Rams. St. Louis gets set to play at Houston Week 6.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Russell Wilson has career day rushing in losing effort
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had a tale of two halves during a 34-28 loss Week 5 at Indianapolis. Wilson completed 15 of 31 passes for 210 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for a career-high 102 yards on 13 carries.
Wilson had quite the efficient and effective first half. He completed 9 of 16 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns to lead Seattle to a 19-17 halftime lead. Wilson, who had a 121.9 quarterback rating in the first half, completed touchdown passes of 10 yards to Golden Tate and 28 yards to Jermaine Kearse. He also had 54 rushing yards by halftime. His only blemish of the first half was a lost fumble right before halftime.
While Wilson rushed for 48 yards after the half, his passing numbers went downhill. He completed just 6 of 15 passes for 82 yards and one interception, which came on the final drive as Seattle was threatening for the game-winning score.
Wilson surpassed 100 rushing yards in a game for the first time in his career Sunday. He's thrown for multiple touchdowns just twice in five games this season. The Seahawks are back in action Week 6 vs. Tennessee.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Aaron Rodgers benefits from second half surge
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished Sunday's 22-9 victory over the Lions having completed 20-of-30 passes for 274 yards and a touchdown. He rushed five times for eight yards and was sacked just once -- the fewest this season (he had been averaging about three sacks per game coming into Week 5).
Rodgers had just 88 passing yards and no touchdowns at the half, but hooked up with James Jones on an 83-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter -- and found Jones and Jordy Nelson on long passes in the fourth -- to get things turned around. Rodgers would have finished with slightly better numbers but a 27-yard touchdown pass to Jones in the fourth quarter was called back after replays showed Jones stepped just out of bounds in the end zone.
Rodgers and the Packers face the Ravens in Week 6. Baltimore held Joe Flacco to 269 yards and no touchdowns in Week 5.

Andy Dalton QB | PHI
Andy Dalton throws first career red zone interception
Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton did not have the best performance on Sunday during a win over the Patriots. Dalton did lead his team to a win, but didn't have a touchdown pass in the game.
Dalton went 20 for 27 in the game for 212 yards without a TD. He did throw an interception in the red zone for the first time in his career and he finished with a QB rating of 81.1 for the Bengals. Dalton rushed six times for 25 yards in the game and did not score on the ground.
The quarterback engineered a win over the Patriots and that is saying something. That said, he has just five touchdowns and five interceptions this season for the Bengals and has been underwhelming. The 25-year-old continues to struggle getting the ball to A.J. Green. The Bengals play at Buffalo Week 6 next Sunday. -
Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
Chad Henne QB | KC
Blaine Gabbert to start over Chad Henne if healthy
Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne had to relieve starter Blaine Gabbert during Sunday's Week 5 loss at St. Louis. That said, Gus Bradley said following the game that Gabbert would remain the starting QB going forward as long as he's healthy, the team's official site reports.
Henne finished out the loss by going 7 for 13 for 89 yards with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Cecil Shorts in the fourth quarter. He had a QB rating of 101.1 in the game. Henne also rushed once for 2 yards.
Gabbert finished 9 of 19 for 181 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. The Jaguars play at Denver Week 6.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Ryan Tannehill drops a tough one
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill was not particularly efficient in Week 5 against the Ravens, but he made nearly enough plays to win. Tannehill threw for 307 yards, but fell just short on a comeback attempted in a 26-23 loss.
Tannehill completed just 21 of 40 passes, but didn't get much help thanks to a bevy of drops by his receivers. He tossed his sixth touchdown of the season, a 9-yarder to tight end Charle Clay, and avoided an interception, just a few days after tossing six.
Tannehill's production looks even more impressive given the six sacks allowed by the Dolphins' offensive line. Tannehill has now been sacked a league-high 24 times.
The Dolphins head into Week 6 on a two-game losing streak, with their bye week on the way. Tannehill has 1,373 passing yards through five games, with six touchdowns and five interceptions. He has completed 62.6 percent of his passes, while attempting at least 34 in each game.
