Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Cruises to comfortable victory
Goff completed 26 of 36 pass attempts for 269 yards, no touchdowns and no turnovers while adding two carries for no gain in Sunday's 24-6 win over Indianapolis.
Goff kept the offense moving with efficient play from the pocket, but it was Detroit's running game that finished off drives with touchdowns Sunday. The Cal product has now completed 50 out of his last 65 pass attempts with four touchdowns and no picks in two contests since his horrific five-interception game against Houston in Week 10. Despite the upcoming short week, Goff remains a strong choice at QB when the Lions host the Bears on Thanksgiving Day.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Another impressive showing in win
Mayfield completed 24 of 30 passes for 294 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed four times for 29 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 30-7 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, losing one, and recovered a loose ball as well.
Mayfield had an eventful afternoon in the lopsided win, bouncing back from consecutive lackluster efforts through the air to post his highest sub-300-yard total of the campaign. Mayfield did see a season-long streak of games with at least one touchdown pass snapped, but he had an even more direct hand in a score with his third rushing touchdown of the season on a leaping 10-yard run just before halftime. Mayfield welcomed Mike Evans back from a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury by connecting with him on five occasions for 68 yards, and the veteran signal-caller also suffered a scare on a neck stinger in the fourth quarter but didn't miss a play. The 2018 first overall pick lines up for another productive afternoon when the Bucs visit the Panthers for a Week 13 divisional clash.

Zach Wilson QB | MIA
Broncos' Zach Wilson: Emergency QB again
Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders but will serve as Denver's emergency third quarterback.
For Wilson to get into the game, Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham would both have to be unavailable. It's a role that the 2021 No. 2 overall pick of the Jets has been playing all season for the Broncos. Wilson has yet to appear in a regular-season game in 2024.

Brett Rypien QB | MIN
Vikings' Brett Rypien: Emergency QB for Week 12
Rypien (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears but will serve as the Vikings' emergency third quarterback.
Rypien won't count against Minnesota's game-day roster limit but will be eligible to enter the game if Sam Darnold and Nick Mullens suffer injuries Sunday. Rypien has not taken a snap yet this season.

Jeff Driskel QB | WAS
Commanders' Jeff Driskel: Emergency QB for Week 12
Driskel (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Dallas but will serve as Washington's emergency third quarterback.
Driskel won't count against Washington's game-day roster limit but will be eligible to play if Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota suffer injuries Sunday. Driskel has appeared in only one game this season, playing one snap during the Commanders' 21-18 win over the Giants in Week 2.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Out Sunday, could return Week 13
Purdy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, but the 49ers believe that he'll be able to return to action in their Week 13 matchup with the Bills on Dec. 1, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter acknowledges that despite the 49ers' optimism, a Week 13 return shouldn't be considered a lock for Purdy, whom the team initially thought would be able to play through a sore right shoulder this Sunday in Green Bay. While a recent MRI revealed nothing overly concerning with Purdy's shoulder, the quarterback exited early during practice Thursday and then didn't participate at all in Friday's session before being ruled out for Sunday's contest. As such, Purdy will likely need to demonstrate more progress during the team's Week 13 practices before a decision on his availability for the game in Buffalo is made. The 49ers will turn to Brandon Allen to make his first start since 2021 in place of Purdy against the Packers.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Giants' Tim Boyle: Signed to 53
Boyle was signed to the Giants' 53-man roster Saturday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
The Giants could have used multiple practice-squad elevations with Boyle, but the team evidently wanted to prioritize its quarterback No. 3. Tommy DeVito will start Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers, with veteran Drew Lock slated to be his backup.

Brandon Allen QB | TEN
49ers' Brandon Allen: Named as Week 12 starter
Allen will replace Brock Purdy (shoulder) as the starting quarterback Sunday at Green Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan made the announcement Friday afternoon, revealing that the team was surprised by the degree of pain in Purdy's throwing shoulder when he attempted to practice Thursday. Purdy was listed as a limited participant for that session, which followed Wednesday's capped session and preceded Friday's absence. San Francisco GM John Lynch said Friday morning that MRIs on the shoulder didn't suggest a long-term injury, but it nonetheless seems possible at this point that Allen will make multiple starts. Beyond Sunday, the 49ers play at Buffalo in Week 13 (Dec. 1), at home against Chicago in Week 14 (Dec. 8) and at home against the Rams in Week 15 (Dec. 12, TNF). The game in Green Bay this Sunday will mark Allen's first NFL start since 2021 (with Cincinnati). He's gone 2-7 as a starter, with a career 56.7 completion percentage, 6.1 YPA, 10 TD passes and six INTs, adding 34 rush attempts for 63 yards and no TDs.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Ruled out for Week 12
Purdy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Green Bay, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Friday that Brandon Allen will be the starting quarterback for Week 12. General manager John Lynch downplayed Purdy's quick departure from Thursday's practice, but Shanahan acknowledged Friday that things didn't go well during the session, noting that the level of pain in Purdy's right shoulder surprised both team and player, according to David Lombardi of SFStandard.com. Shanahan hasn't commented on expectations for Purdy beyond this weekend, with the quarterback's next chance to play being a Week 13 contest at Buffalo on Dec. 1.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Not spotted at practice
Purdy (shoulder) isn't participating at the start of practice Friday afternoon, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Purdy was very limited Wednesday, threw only a few passes Thursday and may be missing practice Friday. The 49ers seem to be hoping rest will do the trick, but GM John Lynch acknowledged to Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News on Friday morning that the quarterback's Week 12 status is "tenuous" even after MRI results suggested he doesn't have a serious injury. Purdy injured his throwing shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and now seems to be dealing with considerable soreness/discomfort.
