Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Titans' Trevor Siemian: Elevated from practice squad
The Titans elevated Siemian from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.
Siemian provides insurance for Sunday's game against Buffalo due to Will Levis (shoulder) being listed as questionable. If Levis cannot play, Siemian would serve as the Titans' backup quarterback behind Mason Rudolph. Siemian appeared in five regular-season games for the Jets in 2023, during which he completed 56.2 percent of his passes for 724 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Dolphins' Tim Boyle: Signed to active roster
The Dolphins signed Boyle from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Boyle has served as the Dolphins' backup quarterback to Tyler Huntley while Skylar Thompson has been sidelined due to a rib injury. Thompson was a full participant in all three practices coming out of the bye, but if he cannot suit up for Sunday's game against the Colts, Boyle will presumably be the No. 2 quarterback behind Huntley.

Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Will practice, eyeing Week 8 return
Tagovailoa (concussion) will practice next week and is aiming to start in the Dolphins' Oct. 27 game against the Cardinals, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve after suffering his fourth documented concussion in five years Sept. 12 and will miss his fourth consecutive game Sunday in Indianapolis. Despite his history of brain injuries, Tagovailoa looks to have made strong progress in his recovery, and after meeting with multiple doctors and specialists, the quarterback has felt comfortable enough with the feedback he's received to continue his playing career. Before signing off on Tagovailoa starting Week 8, the Dolphins will need the quarterback to show that he can practice without limitations or lingering symptoms of the concussion. Tagovailoa will also need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist before he's removed from the five-step concussion protocol.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Steelers' Russell Wilson: Likely starting Sunday
Wilson is expected to start Sunday's game against the Jets, though Justin Fields is also expected to see some snaps, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Head coach Mike Tomlin hasn't publicly committed to a Week 7 starter, but all reports since Tuesday have indicated that Wilson is on track to direct the offense for what will be his Steelers debut. While the extent of Fields' involvement in the game plan isn't known, Wilson is still expected to see the overwhelming share of the snaps, something that wideout George Pickens essentially indicated when he spoke to the media Friday, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. Wilson won the starting job coming out of the preseason, but a lingering calf injury had kept him out for the previous five weeks before he served as Fields' backup in the Week 6 win over the Raiders. Fields led the Steelers to a 4-2 start while doing well to limit turnovers, so Wilson may need a strong showing against the Jets to strengthen his hold on the starting job moving forward.

Justin Fields QB | KC
Steelers' Justin Fields: Could move to backup role
Head coach Mike Tomlin revealed Friday that he's made a decision on the Steelers' starting quarterback between Fields and Russell Wilson for Sunday's game versus the Jets but won't announce who is getting the call, Brook Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Shortly after Tomlin's media session, wideout George Pickens may have let slip that Wilson will be under center Sunday, noting he and the quarterback have been "getting on the same page after practice, throwing more than usual because this is his first start." All signs point to that coming to pass, as Wilson handled first-team reps this week and led the team's signal-callers in individual drills, while Fields was second in the rotation. Fields started the first six contests of the campaign while Wilson recovered from a lingering calf injury, but the latter now seems set up for his first nod as a member of the Steelers. During his stint as the starter, Fields had a 4-2 record, completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 1,106 yards, five touchdowns and one interception and recorded 55 carries for 231 yards and five more scores.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Steelers' Russell Wilson: First start imminent?
Coach Mike Tomlin revealed Friday that he's made a decision on the Steelers' starting quarterback between Wilson and Justin Fields for Sunday's game against the Jets but won't announce who is getting the call, Brook Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Not long after Tomlin spoke to the media, WR George Pickens may have let slip that Wilson will be under center Sunday, noting he and the QB have been "getting on the same page after practice, throwing more than usual because this is his first start." All signs point to that being the case, as Wilson took first-team reps this week and led the team's signal-callers in individual drills, while Fields was second in the rotation. Fields started the first six games of the season while Wilson recovered from a lingering calf injury, but the latter now seems poised for his first nod as a member of the Steelers. During his two-year stint in Denver, Wilson averaged 219.8 passing yards per game and threw 42 touchdowns versus 19 interceptions in 30 games, all of them starts.

Tyler Huntley QB | BAL
Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Making third consecutive start
Huntley will remain the Dolphins' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Colts, James Trefry of USA Today reports.
Huntley will make his third consecutive start for Miami, and he should be more comfortable with the offensive system after using the Week 6 bye to gain a deeper understanding of the playbook. Skylar Thompson (ribs) practiced fully throughout the week and is listed as questionable, but Huntley has been named the starter regardless of Thompson's availability. Tua Tagovailoa is eligible to come off injured reserve Oct. 23, so he could theoretically be in play for a Week 8 return against the Cardinals, though it's unclear if Tagovailoa has made any progress through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol.

Skylar Thompson QB | BAL
Dolphins' Skylar Thompson: Questionable despite full practices
Thompson (ribs) practiced without limitations all week but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Thompson is more likely than not to dress considering he posted three full practices, but he hasn't quite received a firm green light to return from the rib injury he suffered Week 3. Even if Thompson suits up Sunday, he'll be the backup to Tyler Huntley.
-
Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: Questionable after limited practice
Levis (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills after being a limited participant in practice Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Levis sandwiched a full practice Thursday between limited sessions Wednesday and Friday, so he seems more likely than not to suit up. He injured his shoulder in Tennessee's Week 4 win over the Dolphins prior to a Week 5 bye, then played the entire Week 6 loss to the Colts but threw for only 95 yards. If Levis is declared inactive prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff in Buffalo, Mason Rudolph would get the nod under center.

Derek Carr QB | NO
Saints' Derek Carr: Likely back no later than Week 9
Coach Dennis Allen said Friday that Carr (oblique) is "very likely" to be available by Week 9 against the Panthers, but Allen is "not sure" if the quarterback will recover in time to face the Chargers in Week 8, Matthew Paras of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Carr has missed the Saints' last two games, including Thursday's 33-10 loss to the Broncos, which Spencer Rattler (hip) exited in the fourth quarter. If neither Carr nor Rattler can play against the Chargers, Jake Haener would get a chance to make his first NFL start. Per Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com, Allen added Friday that Carr plans to resume throwing Saturday, and the team will track the quarterback's progress from there. A clearer picture of Carr's potential availability may surface when the Saints resume practicing leading up to the game versus L.A.
