Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Secures division title
Goff completed 30 of 40 pass attempts for 257 yards with one touchdown during Sunday's 30-24 win over the Vikings.
Handling Minnesota's blitz-heavy defense without many problems, Goff completed 75 percent of his passes and could have had a much bigger game had Detroit not pounded in three touchdowns via rushing plays. Nonetheless, Goff has helped Detroit secure a division title for the first time in 30 years and notch the team's first since the division was remapped from the NFC Central to the NFC North in 2002. The Lions now aim to fight for playoff positioning starting with an important Week 17 showdown against Dallas.

Davis Mills QB | HOU
Texans' Davis Mills: Needed in relief against Cleveland
Mills completed 15 of 32 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Browns. He also completed a two-point conversion.
Case Keenum got the start for the Texans, but Mills was seeing snaps in the first quarter on certain packages, and when the team fell behind 36-7 after Keenum's second interception of the day, Mills worked the entire fourth quarter and produced a couple of scoring drives while working against Cleveland's backup defenders. It was still a more effective performance than Keenum managed, and should C.J. Stroud not be able to clear the league's concussion protocol in time for a Week 17 meeting with the Titans, Mills could get the start.

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Texans' Case Keenum: Gets benched in Week 16 loss
Keenum completed 11 of 17 passes for 62 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by Davis Mills in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Browns.
Mills was subbing in on certain packages right out of the gate, suggesting Keenum had a short leash, and after Houston fell behind 36-7 following his second INT of the day, he got the hook for good. C.J. Stroud could clear the league's concussion protocol in time for a Week 17 tilt against the Titans, which should have a big impact on the Texans' playoff chances, but if the rookie QB remains sidelined for another game, Mills seems likely to get the start over Keenum.

Trevor Lawrence QB | JAC
Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Injures shoulder Sunday
Lawrence was forced out of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a shoulder injury.
Prior to his departure from the contest, Lawrence -- who won't return to action Sunday -- had completed 17 of 29 passing attempts for 211 yards with a TD and two picks while adding four carries for 29 yards. In his absence, C.J. Beathard is in at quarterback for the Jaguars.

Joe Flacco QB | CIN
Browns' Joe Flacco: Big numbers again in Week 16 win
Flacco completed 27 of 42 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Texans. He also threw a two-point conversion.
The 38-year-old QB topped 300 passing yards for the third straight game and tossed multiple TDs for the fourth straight game, as Flacco's presence under center continues to revitalize what had been a stagnant Browns passing attack. Amari Cooper has been the biggest beneficiary of Flacco's arrival, and the wideout set a franchise record Sunday with 265 receiving yards. If there's one yellow flag regarding Flacco's career renaissance, it's that he has yet to face a secondary that grades out as even above-average statistically, but that will change in Week 17 when Sauce Gardner and the Jets come to Cleveland.

Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Jets' Trevor Siemian: Does just enough in Week 16
Siemian completed 27 of 49 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders. He also gained 18 rushing yards on four carries but lost a fumble.
Despite a matchup against arguably the worst secondary in the NFL, Siemian made little effort to stretch the field, with his longest completion going for 16 yards to Garrett Wilson. A huge performance from Breece Hall, both on the ground and through the air, built a 27-7 lead for the Jets by halftime, but after the defense squandered it in the second half, Siemian was able to lead a successful two-minute drill that ended in a game-winning field goal by Greg Zuerlein with five seconds left on the clock. There's no guarantee Zach Wilson will be able to clear the league's concussion protocol in time for Thursday's game against the Browns, so Siemian could get another start in Week 17 against a much stingier opponent.

Jacoby Brissett QB | ARI
Commanders' Jacoby Brissett: Nearly leads comeback win
Brissett completed 10 of 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown after replacing Sam Howell in the third quarter of Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Jets.
With the Commanders in a 27-7 hole, coach Ron Rivera turned to Brissett for the second straight week to try and provide a spark to the team's offense. The veteran QB proceeded to lead Washington on three straight touchdown drives to take a 28-27 lead, only for the Jets to find a last-second field goal to salvage their victory. Brissett has a 3:0 TD:INT in his two relief appearances while Howell has a 2:8 TD:INT over the last five games, so Rivera could very well make the switch a more permanent one for a Week 17 clash with the 49ers.
-
Sam Howell QB | DAL
Commanders' Sam Howell: Benched again in Week 16
Howell completed six of 22 passes for 56 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by Jacoby Brissett in the third quarter of Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Jets.
The quarterback's poor play helped put the Commanders in a 27-7 hole at halftime, and after Howell tossed his second INT of the day, coach Ron Rivera benched him for the second straight week. With Brissett having played well both times he's come on in relief, and Howell having been picked off in five straight games with a 2:8 TD:INT during that stretch, Rivera has a full-blown QB controversy on his hands heading into a Week 17 clash with the 49ers.

Geno Smith QB | NYJ
Seahawks' Geno Smith: Leads team to victory in return
Smith (groin) completed 25 of 36 pass attempts for 227 yards and two touchdowns with one carry for two yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over Tennessee.
Smith was back under center for the Seahawks after a nagging groin injury cost him two weeks of action. The veteran starter looked healthy in his return, completing 69 percent of his passes without turning the ball over. Smith threw his second touchdown in the closing moments of Sunday's narrow victory, giving Seattle its second comeback win in as many weeks. The 8-7 Seahawks will have to figure out how to contain the NFL's current sack leader, T.J. Watt, in order to keep Smith upright in the pocket when the Steelers and Seattle meet next Sunday.

Bryce Young QB | CAR
Panthers' Bryce Young: Career-best game in loss
Young completed 23 of 35 passes for 312 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Panthers' 33-30 loss to the Packers on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 17 yards and fumbled once but recovered.
The Panthers appeared to be on the way to another lopsided loss aft halftime, when they already trailed 23-10. However, Young was able to lead a 14-play, 72-yard drive in the third quarter that culminated in a Chuba Hubbard rushing touchdown while the defense kept the Packers off the board during the period. Young then came alive in the fourth quarter, tossing 11- and 10-yard touchdown passes to DJ Chark to get Carolina within striking distance. The rookie first overall pick then hit Chark and Adam Thielen for a pair of 22-yard completions on the final drive to get the Panthers to the Packers' 31-yard line but was unable to spike the ball before the clock hit zeroes. Despite the disappointing final outcome, Young should go into a Week 17 road matchup against the Jaguars on New Year's Eve with newfound confidence stemming from his first career 300-yard effort.
