  • Panthers' Baker Mayfield: Named Week 11 starter

Interim head coach Steve Wilks said Monday that Mayfield will start Week 11 against the Ravens after PJ Walker suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Falcons on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Mayfield and Sam Darnold, both now fully healthy, also spent time sidelined with high-ankle sprains this season. With Walker now potentially facing a multi-week absence, Mayfield will return as Carolina's starting quarterback for the first time since Week 5, though he could quickly face pressure from Darnold should he struggle. Back in Week 9's loss to the Bengals, Walker was benched at halftime for performance reasons, leading to Mayfield completing 14 of 20 pass attempts for 155 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions after taking over.

  • Deshaun Watson QB | CLE

Browns' Deshaun Watson: Eligible for practice

Watson (suspension) is eligible to begin practicing Monday and remains on track to make his Browns debut Week 13 in Houston, The Athletic reports.

According to the terms of the 11-game suspension he received Aug. 30 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Watson remained away from the Browns from the end of the preseason through Oct. 10, when he was eligible to report to the team facility. Over the past month, Watson has been able to work out at the facility and sit in during team meetings, and now he'll be able to take the practice field with the rest of his teammates for the next three weeks. General manager Andrew Berry said back on Nov. 2 that Watson will take over the starting quarterback job when first available Week 13, and there's little reason to think that the Browns' plans on that front have changed, as the team has gotten off to a 3-6 start with Jacoby Brissett running the offense.

  • 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Scores rushing TD in win

Garoppolo completed 19 of 28 pass attempts for 240 yards and rushed five times for three yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-16 win over the Chargers.

Garoppolo failed to throw for a touchdown for the first time this season, but he punched in a rushing score from one yard out on his third quarterback sneak of the game. The veteran signal-caller has been fairly consistent in 2022 -- contrary to what we've seen in previous years -- and he just got more weapons back from injury following the bye week. Garoppolo's high floor makes him a great bye week fill-in for Week 11 when the 49ers take on the Cardinals next Monday.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Strong performance in return

Tannehill completed 19 of 36 passes for 255 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Broncos.

Tannehill returned from an ankle injury that cost him two games and attempted a season-high 36 passes. He connected with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for both of his scores, which came from 63 and nine yards, and he also completed an additional two attempts for over 20 yards. While the Titans typically run their offense through Derrick Henry, the Broncos shut down the workhorse back and forced Tannehill to take on a more central role. The resulting stat line wasn't outstanding, but Tannehill showed the ability to operate the offense effectively and lead the team to a key victory.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Shut out in second half

Herbert completed 21 of 35 passes for 196 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the 49ers. He also ran the ball five times for 22 yards.

Herbert and the Chargers put together a brilliant opening drive that culminated in a wide-open touchdown to DeAndre Carter, but the offense was unable to score another touchdown from that point forward as the 49ers never allowed a big play. The superstar quarterback briefly was forced to leave the game to end the second quarter after taking a crushing hit, but after passing concussion protocols Herbert was allowed to return to the game. Up next is a pivotal divisional matchup against the Chiefs, who allowed Herbert to rack up 334 passing yards in a Week 2 Chargers loss.

  • John Wolford QB | MIN

Rams' John Wolford: Tepid numbers in Week 10 start

Wolford completed 24 of 36 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Cardinals.

With Matthew Stafford (concussion) inactive, Wolford made his first start of the season and struggled to both move the ball and protect it, losing one of his two fumbles in addition to tossing a pick in the fourth quarter as the Rams tried to mount a comeback. Stafford appeared to be making progress in his recovery Friday but ran out of time to clear the league's concussion protocols, making it likely Wolford will return to the bench for a Week 11 clash with the Saints.

  • Colt McCoy QB | ARI

Cardinals' Colt McCoy: Workmanlike effort in win

McCoy completed 26 of 37 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Rams.

In a battle of backup QBs with Kyler Murray (hamstring) and Matthew Stafford (concussion) both sidelined, McCoy came out on top over John Wolford with a solid performance that included a six-yard TD strike to fellow old-timer A.J. Green just before halftime. The 36-year-old Cardinal could return to the bench in Week 11 if Murray's ready to go, but if not McCoy would likely be under center for a tough NFC West battle against the 49ers. Although he picked up his own lower-body injury during the contest, McCoy suggested after the game he thinks it won't be an issue, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

  • Davis Mills QB | HOU

Texans' Davis Mills: Tops 300 yards in loss

Mills completed 22 of 37 passes for 319 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Giants.

Mills topped 300 passing yards for the second time in his last four games and effectively spread the ball to a number of Texans' receivers. His lone touchdown came midway through the third quarter, when he connected with Nico Collins for a 12-yard score. Mills also matched his season-best mark of five completions of more than 20 yards, finding Chris Moore deep on three of those occasions. While it was a relatively positive performance, Mills threw an interception for the fourth consecutive game, with Sunday's coming at an inopportune time deep in Giants' territory in the fourth quarter. For the season, he now has 11 touchdowns as opposed to nine interceptions.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Raiders' Derek Carr: Tosses two TDs in loss

Carr completed 24 of 38 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Colts.

It was a solid showing for Carr, and he even gave the Raiders a lead early in the fourth quarter with a 48-yard TD strike to Davante Adams, but the Las Vegas defense couldn't make it hold up. Carr has a sharp 11:2 TD:INT over eight games since tossing three picks in the season opener, but he faces a tough test in Week 11 against a Broncos defense that held him under 200 yards with zero TDs in their first meeting this year.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Falls short in overtime loss

Prescott completed 27 of 46 pass attempts for 265 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 31-28 loss to Green Bay.

Prescott performed well in a tough road matchup, but two drive-killing interceptions factored in the eventual losing result. The 28-year-old has seen his production increase gradually in three games since returning from thumb surgery, which should provide some optimism for fantasy managers moving forward. Prescott will look to take another small step forward against against a vulnerable Minnesota secondary next Sunday.
