Stroud completed seven of his 12 pass attempts for 60 yards and no touchdowns or turnovers in Saturday's preseason loss to Miami.

Stroud got to play the entire first half in his second preseason start while incumbent Davis Mills (10-for-22, 94 yards) entered after halftime, all but confirming that the former will start under center for Houston. The second-overall pick from this year's draft did not post a gaudy line, but it was a marked improvement over his first start where he completed just two passes while throwing a pick. Stroud will now attempt the difficult ask of developing as a rookie starter -- with a rookie head coach -- while running an offense that was putrid prior to his arrival.

Love is in line to play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Patriots, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

After completing seven of 10 passes for 46 yards and one touchdown in Green Bay's exhibition opener last Friday at Cincinnati, Love will get some more work as he prepares for his first season as the team's starting signal-caller. Expect Love to have his full complement of skill-position talent for a handful of series Saturday.

Based on warmups, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site expects Jones and the Patriots' healthy starters to see action in Saturday's preseason game against the Packers.

It remains to be seen how much action Jones and co. will see versus Green Bay, but once his looming stint is completed, Bailey Zappe, Malik Cunningham and Trace McSorley are candidates to see QB reps for the remainder of Saturday's contest.

Richardson's teammate Gardner Minshew drew the start at QB for the Colts in Saturday's preseason game against the Bears, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Per Atkins, Minshew and the team's second-team offense opened up the contest, with Sam Ehlinger presumably up next for the team's QB reps versus Chicago. Earlier this week, Richardson was named the Colts' Week 1 starter, so it's possible that the 2023 first-rounder won't see game action again until then.

Tagovailoa completed five of seven pass attempts for 61 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in his preseason debut against the Texans on Saturday.

Things got off to a shaky start when Tagovailoa completed his first pass to a Texans' defender for an interception. The 25-year-old rebounded on Miami's next possession by leading a 93-yard drive that led to a Raheem Mostert rushing touchdown. Tagovailoa would exit after just two drives as he prepares to start for the Dolphins once the regular season kicks off. The 2020 first-round pick is focused on staying healthy after suffering injuries to the head/neck area last year, something he prepared for by learning an improved falling technique through jiu-jitsu practice this past offseason.

Driskel (calf) isn't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

With Kyler Murray still on the active/PUP list due to his recovery from a torn right ACL, the Cardinals will roll with Colt McCoy, Clayton Tune and David Blough under center in their second exhibition. Meanwhile, Driskel also won't be available due to a strained calf that he sustained prior to the team's first preseason contest. As a result, he'll have just one more chance for game action this month (Saturday, Aug. 26 at Minnesota).

Garoppolo is expected to start Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Garoppolo didn't play in the preseason opener, so this will be his Raiders debut. We shouldn't expect him to play more than a couple series, if that, and rookie Aidan O'Connell figures to lead the Vegas quarterbacks in snaps for this one. Garoppolo will look to knock some rust off in his first action since last season's foot surgery.

Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal indicates that it's his understanding that Jones is expected to see action in Saturday's preseason game against the Packers.

Meanwhile, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site points out that Jones -- who played in New England's final two exhibition games in 2022, per Daniels -- and the team's other offensive starters played three drives in the second preseason game last year, and if the QB does play Saturday, a similar pattern could follow. In last week's preseason opener, Jones was rested, with Bailey Zappe, Malik Cunningham and Trace McSorley handling signal-caller duties.

Coach John Harbaugh indicated Saturday that Johnson is slated to start and play the first half of Monday's preseason game against the Commanders, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

After Johnson get his reps in, Anthony Brown is in line to take over in the second half, which sets the stage for Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley (hamstring) to be held out of the contest. Johnson and Brown are competing for the Ravens' No. 3 QB job behind Jackson and Huntley.

Head coach John Harbaugh is not concerned about Huntley's (hamstring) status going forward.

Huntley has been sidelined since tweaking his hamstring during last Saturday's preseason opener. However, it looks like the Ravens are just exercising caution with their backup quarterback in order to avoid a lingering issue. As of now, it looks like the team still expects him to be the No. 2 quarterback behind Lamar Jackson when Week 1 rolls around.
