Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Forgettable day in blowout loss
Mostert rushed seven times for nine yards and secured three of five targets for 36 yards in the Dolphins' 48-20 loss to the Bills on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, losing one.
Mostert was absolutely stymied on the ground while rookie teammate De'Von Achane broke loose for 92 more yards and two touchdowns on just one additional carry. Mostert's late-third-quarter fumble was costly as well, as it came at the Dolphins' 32-yard line and led to a Bills field goal when Miami was already down by 14. Achane's rapid ascension could certainly begin threatening Mostert's lead-back role, but the latter will look to make a convincing case for holding on to the top job in a Week 5 home matchup against the Giants.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Held to 76 total yards
Mixon carried the ball 14 times for 67 yards in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Titans. He added one reception for nine yards.
Mixon was facing a stout run Titans' run defense, so his 4.8 yards per carry was an encouraging figure. He still didn't show much explosiveness -- his longest gain of the day went for only 13 yards -- though it's hard to hold that against him given the matchup and the overall state of Cincinnati's offense. Most importantly, Mixon continues to dominate work out of the backfield, as he accounted for 14 of the 15 carries by the team's running backs.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Ravens' Melvin Gordon: Four touches as Edwards, Hill play
Gordon rushed three times for 21 yards and caught his only target for 23 yards in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Browns.
Gus Edwards avoided entering the league's concussion protocol after exiting in Week 3 while Justice Hill (foot) suited up after sitting out that contest, so Gordon was part of a three-man running back rotation. Edwards led the way with 49 scrimmage yards on 15 carries and three targets, while Hill (three carries for 33 yards) split change-of-pace duties with Gordon. Perhaps Gordon's efficiency in this one will earn him more touches in Week 5 against the Steelers, but the veteran running back's ceiling remains capped as long as he's limited to a rotational role in Baltimore's crowded backfield.

Justice Hill RB | BAL
Ravens' Justice Hill: Just three touches in Week 4
Hill (foot) rushed three times for 33 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Browns.
Hill suited up after sitting out the previous game, but he got fewer touches than both Gus Edwards (15 carries, three targets) and Melvin Gordon (three carries, one target). If Gordon continues to rotate in on passing downs while Edwards and quarterback Lamar Jackson account for most of the rushing attempts, Hill will have a tough time earning enough touches to make a meaningful impact in Week 5 against the Steelers.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Gets 15 carries in Week 4 win
Edwards rushed 15 times for 48 yards and caught two of three targets for one yard in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Browns.
After ultimately avoiding entering the concussion protocol following an exit from the Week 3 loss to the Colts, Edwards suited up in Week 4 and led the Ravens in rushing attempts while Justice Hill (foot) and Melvin Gordon got just three carries apiece. Lamar Jackson ran in two touchdowns, and the quarterback now has four rushing touchdowns to Edwards' one, but Edwards has pulled away as the team's primary running back heading into a Week 5 trip to Pittsburgh.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | TB
Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Limited usage in OT win
Gainwell carried the ball four times for 14 yards, caught both his targets for seven yards and ran in a two-point conversion in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Commanders.
D'Andre Swift dominated the Philly backfield with 18 touches, and while Gainwell was able to salvage a bit of fantasy value with his two-point conversion, it was still a disappointing showing for the third-year RB after he saw a combined 33 touches in his first two games of the season. As long as Swift remains productive in the lead role, it could be tough for Gainwell to deliver consistent numbers, but head coach Nick Sirianni could also look his way more often again in Week 5 against the Rams.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Logs 24 touches in season debut
Kamara rushed 11 times for 51 yards and brought in 13 of 14 targets for 33 yards in the Saints' 26-9 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Suiting up for the first time this season following the completion of his three-game suspension, Kamara was put right to work as both runner and receiver. The versatile star had no threat to his lead-back role, with Taysom Hill the next closest player to him in rushing work with a modest four carries. Meanwhile, Kamara appeared to be a primary beneficiary of Derek Carr's physical limitations due to an AC joint sprain, easily leading the team in receptions and targets. The massive workload right out of the gate was certainly encouraging from a fantasy perspective, and Kamara's playmaking ability once again should be given plenty of chances to surface in a Week 5 road matchup against the Patriots.

Jerome Ford RB | WAS
Browns' Jerome Ford: Bottled up with Watson out
Ford rushed nine times for 26 yards while catching five of six targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to the Ravens.
Ford struggled to find running lanes with Baltimore stacking the box against rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson after Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was ruled out during pregame warmups. On the bright side, Ford led the Browns in rushing attempts again while Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong had five carries apiece. Ford should continue to lead Cleveland's backfield when the Browns host the 49ers in Week 6, and Watson could be back under center after the team's Week 5 bye.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Eagles' D'Andre Swift: Gets into end zone in Sunday's win
Swift carried the ball 14 times for 56 yards and a touchdown and caught all four of his targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Commanders.
While he couldn't match the massive yardage totals he'd posted the prior two games, Swift made up for it by scoring his second TD of the season on a five-yard dash in the first quarter. The former Lion's 18 touches dwarfed the six Kenneth Gainwell saw, a promising trend for Swift heading into a Week 5 clash with the Rams.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: Grinds out 70 yards in loss
Moss rushed 18 times for 70 yards and failed to secure his only target during Sunday's 29-23 overtime loss to the Rams.
Other than a 20-yard run in the third quarter, the sledding was rough for Moss against a capable Rams defense. The Colts' only rushing touchdown went to rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, his fifth on the year, and through three games Moss has reached the end zone only once. Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is fully healthy and could return next week against the Titans, which would relegate Moss back to a backup role.
