Taylor, who had been away from the team while rehabbing his injured ankle, is back with the Colts on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

That said, the running back remains on the active/PUP list, and Rapoport suggests that Taylor's stance regarding his desire to be traded hasn't changed. With Zack Moss sidelined by an arm injury, Deon Jackson, Evan Hull, Kenyan Drake, Jake Funk and Jason Huntley currently profile as the Colts' top available backfield options.

Dobbins (undisclosed) is on track to be activated from the active/PUP list Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

When the move is made official, the running back will be eligible to return to practice ahead of the Ravens' second preseason contest Monday, Aug. 21 against the Commanders. Once he's fully up to speed, Dobbins is in line to head a running back corps that also includes Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, Melvin Gordon and Keaton Mitchell.

Miller (knee) was diagnosed Monday with a minor sprain and is expected to be out for a week or two, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports

The rookie third-round pick left Sunday's preseason game against Kansas City and was able to walk to the locker room without help or a noticeable limp. Tests confirmed that his knee injury isn't serious, and Miller should be healthy for Week 1 even if he misses the remainder of the preseason. With Alvin Kamara suspended for the first three games of the year, Miller still has an opportunity to earn a role early in the season, though Jamaal Williams is the safer bet to take backfield snaps in September.

The Chargers waived Rountree on Monday.

With the 2021 sixth-rounder having been let go by the Chargers, the team's backfield is currently headed by Austin Ekeler, Joshua Kelley and Isaiah Spiller. Rountree, who recorded 13 carries for 19 yards in four games last season, will now look to catch on elsewhere as a depth RB option.

Patterson missed practice Sunday due to an unspecified soft-tissue injury, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

The report notes that the same applies to WR Frank Darby as well as CBs Mike Hughes and Cornell Armstrong, with the players expected to miss "maybe a week or so," according to coach Arthur Smith. Based on that estimate, it appears as though Patterson -- who didn't appear in Atlanta's exhibition opener, along with several other key skill-position players -- won't be available for Friday's preseason game against the Bengals.

Robinson didn't play in the Falcons' preaseason opener this past Friday against the Dolphins, Josh Kendall of the Athletic reports.

Along with Robinson, key skill players who didn't log any snaps in the contest included QB Desmond Ridder, WR Drake London, TE Kyle Pitts (knee) and fellow RB Tyler Allgeier. Afterward, coach Arthur Smith noted that the team's starters are slated to see action in this coming Friday's game against the Bengals, a context that presumably sets the stage for Robinson (among others who sat versus Miami) to see some action against Cincinnati. This coming season, Robinson -- the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft -- is expected to be a driving force in a Falcons backfield that also includes returnees Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson, as well as newcomer Godwin Igwebuike.

Boone carried four times for 25 yards and caught one pass for seven yards in last Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots, Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 Houston reports. "He's an explosive runner," coach DeMeco Ryans said. "He has dynamic speed. He showed a little glimpse of that in the game, and he has continued to move forward."

Boone, a former track-and-field athlete in high school, showed a sprinter's speed and acceleration against New England. The 27-year-old running back solidified his chances of a roster spot behind Dameon Pierce and Devin Singletary. Boone had 102 yards on 24 carries and caught nine of 15 targets for 96 yards in 120 offensive snaps for the Broncos in 2022.

Davis-Price started and gained 29 yards on nine carries (no targets) in Sunday's 34-7 preseason loss to Las Vegas.

Davis-Price got the start over projected third-stringer Jordan Mason in a notable lineup change by head coach Kyle Shanahan. Neither back was able to do much behind an offensive line that was not in sync Sunday. Perhaps the coaching staff wanted to see Davis-Price face the Raiders' starting defense. Whatever the reason may be, expect the second-year back to see plenty of action against the Broncos on Saturday.

Mason rushed five times for 17 yards and failed to bring in his only target in Sunday's 34-7 preseason loss against the Raiders.

Mason struggled to find running lanes mainly due to poor offensive line play, as none of the three San Francisco backs active Sunday sniffed a 4.0 YPC average. It is worth noting that the undrafted standout from last season didn't get a carry until the 49ers' fifth drive, with Tyrion Davis-Price (9-29-0) starting ahead of him sans Christian McCaffrey (rest) and Elijah Mitchell (hip). With neither back performing well, Mason's spot on the roster is likely still secure. Perhaps the lineup swap will motivate the 24-year-old to shake off the rust against the Broncos on Saturday.

Brown rushed once for one yard and secured his only target for 10 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-17 preseason loss to the Steelers on Friday night.

Brown logged just nine snaps from scrimmage overall, while the player that might be his primary competition for a roster spot, fellow undrafted rookie Sean Tucker, had 17. Neither player found any appreciable running room, but Brown was slightly more productive than his teammate with his one catch. The Shepherd product garnered First-Team Division II All-American honors in 2022 after compiling just under 2,500 yards from scrimmage and 24 total touchdowns, so the Buccaneers are likely to give both him and the similarly accomplished Tucker as long a look as they can during the remaining two preseason games.
