Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Injury considered minor
Penny's calf injury is believed to be minor, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Penny aggravated a calf injury during Sunday's season opener against the Colts, but the issue isn't believed to be a significant concern. The 25-year-old recorded two carries for eight yards prior to his departure Sunday. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Sunday's Week 2 matchup against Tennessee.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Seahawks' Travis Homer: Minimal usage in opener
Homer didn't record a touch in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.
Alex Collins was a healthy scratch and Rashaad Penny left with a calf injury, but neither Homer nor DeeJay Dallas played much in Week 1. Perhaps that changes if Penny's forced to miss time, though the Seahawks may be willing to use Chris Carson as a bell cow for the time being.

DeeJay Dallas RB | MIN
Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Just three offensive snaps Sunday
Dallas rushed once for five yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.
Dallas was one of four running backs to suit up for the season opener, as Alex Collins was a healthy scratch. However, even when Rashaad Penny left with a calf injury, Dallas finished with just three offensive snaps. Travis Homer logged two, and Chris Carson managed a whopping 42 (78 percent). Dallas and Homer likely have minimal fantasy value as long as Carson is upright.

Damien Williams RB | ARI
Bears' Damien Williams: Targeted five times
Williams rushed six times for 12 yards and caught four passes for 28 yards in the Bears' 34-14 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Williams played 43 percent of the snaps, though he saw a higher concentration of those when the game was out of hand. However, he was mixed in with David Montgomery while the game was in question, and he appears to be the clear No. 2 back who will get regular playing time to keep Montgomery fresh. With solid receiving ability, Williams offers potential flex value in fantasy leagues that award a point per reception.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Hauls in two passes
Hubbard caught both his targets for four yards and returned a kickoff for 21 yards in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Jets.
Hubbard played 24 snaps on special teams but just seven on offense in his regular-season debut. The rookie fourth-rounder could struggle to see the field as long as superstar Christian McCaffrey is healthy, but it's at least encouraging that he hauled in a couple of passes in his brief involvement Sunday.
-
D'Ernest Johnson RB | TEN
Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: Plays on special teams
Johnson did not play on offense and was on the field for 16 special teams snaps in Sunday's 33-29 loss to the Chiefs.
It's not surprising Johnson didn't get a snap on offense, as he sits behind Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt on the depth chart. It was uncertain entering the game if he would have a role as a returner, but he watched rookie Demetric Felton handle the return duties on kickoffs and punts Week 1.

Demetric Felton RB | WAS
Browns' Demetric Felton: Handles return chores
Felton returned one kickoff for 13 yards and one punt for four yards in Sunday's 33-29 loss to the Chiefs.
Felton and others auditioned for return roles during training camp, but it appears the rookie sixth-round pick out of UCLA won both jobs. He did not play a snap on offense, but as a hyrbid RB/WR, the Browns see him as a potential weapon to be used in special circumstances.
-
Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Giants' Saquon Barkley: Limited touches as expected Sunday
Barkley carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards and caught one of three targets for three yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Broncos.
Seeing his first regular-season action since blowing out his knee in Week 2 last year, Barkley did not look like his usual explosive self, and his longest run went for only five yards. Devontae Booker didn't see much action either though, managing only five touches, which suggests it was game flow as much as his fitness that limited Barkley's workload. The Giants haven't offered a real timetable for how long their star RB will continue to be treated with kid gloves, but Barkley himself will probably show when he's ready to return to his usual role. That likely won't happen Week 2 though, due to a quick turnaround for a Thursday clash and a tough road matchup against Washington.
-
Jeremy McNichols RB | WAS
Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Serves as primary backup
McNichols recorded two carries for nine yards in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Cardinals. He added three receptions on four targets for 24 yards.
McNichols served his anticipated role as both a change-of-pace back and primary receiver out of the backfield. His only two carries came with under two minutes remaining in the game and victory well out of reach. On the other hand, he may have had an inflated role as receiver based on the Titans' need to throw in an attempt to come back in the contest. Though McNichols isn't projected to carry any significant workload with Derrick Henry leading the backfield, he seems to be Henry's primary backup so long as Darrynton Evans (knee) is sidelined.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Shut down by Saints
Jones carried the ball five times for nine yards and caught both his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints.
The Packers couldn't get anything going offensively in the game and had to abandon their ground game in the second half, rendering Jones almost invisible. He didn't even wind up leading Green Bay in rushing, as AJ Dillon scraped together 19 yards on four carries. Jones should be able to shake off this dreadful performance at home in Week 2 while facing a Lions defense he amassed 311 scrimmage yards and three TDs against in two meetings last year.
