Ulysses Bentley IV RB | IND
Colts' Ulysses Bentley: Stays with Colts
The Colts signed Bentley to a reserve/future contract Monday.
The rookie out of Ole Miss spent all but Week 1 on the Colts' practice squad during the 2025 season, where he had two snaps on offense, including one rushing attempt. Bentley is expected to compete for a reserve role in the Colts' backfield as the team prepares to start offseason activities.

Ollie Gordon II RB | MIA
Dolphins' Ollie Gordon: Inefficient in season finale
Gordon carried the ball nine times for nine yards during Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Patriots. He also secured his only target for two yards.
Gordon was only slightly less efficient than lead ballcarrier Jaylen Wright (13 carries for 23 yards), as the Dolphins were unable to do anything of note on the ground with De'Von Achane (shoulder) sidelined Week 18. A rookie sixth-round pick, Gordon impressed during the preseason for Miami and kicked off the regular season in the No. 2 role behind Achane, but over the course of the year he fell to the No. 3 spot. Across 17 regular-season appearances, Gordon compiled 70 carries for 199 yards (2.8 YPC) and three scores, while also securing seven of nine targets for 32 yards and a touchdown. He figures to spend the offseason competing with Wright for depth opportunities behind Achane.

Keaton Mitchell RB | BAL
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Gets back on track in 2025
Mitchell finished the 2025 season with 59 carries for 341 yards and a touchdown while adding nine catches for 63 yards on 12 targets over 13 games.
This was a bounce-back season for Mitchell, who was limited to just five games in 2024 after recovering from a knee injury suffered as a rookie. Mitchell was inactive as a healthy scratch for the first month of the season before getting into the mix for the rest of the season. Though Mitchell never garnered more than nine carries in any game, he was effective with his chances by sustaining a 5.8 YPC figure over 59 rushes. He seemed to regain his speed with four carries of at least 20 yards. Mitchell enters the offseason as a restricted free agent, meaning the Ravens will be able to offer him various types of qualifying offers. Derrick Henry and Justice Hill are both under contract for 2026, however.

Cam Skattebo RB | NYG
Giants' Cam Skattebo: Targeting return for camp
Skattebo (ankle) said Monday that his long-term goal is to be back to full health by the start of training camp in late July, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.
His rookie season came to an end in Week 8 due to a dislocated right ankle that required surgery, but Skattebo is progressing well in his recovery. He said he has no plans of rushing things to make it back on the field for OTAs in the spring, however. Given the severe nature of his injury, Skattebo isn't guaranteed to be ready for the start of camp either, but the Giants should have a clearer idea of where the running back stands once he starts ramping up the intensity of his rehab. Skattebo's role in 2026 will hinge on how quickly he can regain his pre-surgery explosiveness. The Arizona State product was dynamic as both a runner and a pass-catcher over his eight appearances, accounting for 410 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries with 207 receiving yards and two more scores on 24 catches.

British Brooks RB | HOU
Texans' British Brooks: Rushing leader in win
Brooks had 13 carries for 63 yards in Sunday's 38-30 win over Indianapolis in Week 18.
A number of events led to Brooks leading Houston's backfield in both attempts and yardage. In addition to Nick Chubb being a healthy inactive and Jawhar Jordan getting ruled out after an ankle injury, the Texans accepted their fate at halftime that they were not going to vault over Jacksonville for the AFC South title. Once that reality set in, lead back Woody Marks was put on the shelf for the second half, during which Brooks amassed all of his carries.

Trayveon Williams RB | CLE
Browns' Trayveon Williams: Minor role in season finale
Williams had one carry for seven yards and caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-18 win over Cincinnati in Week 18. He also returned three kickoffs for 73 yards.
Williams finished out the regular season as the third back and primary kickoff returner. He spent time with the Browns during the preseason and was cut from the team's practice squad before eventually returning in December. In four games on Cleveland's active roster, Williams had seven carries for 37 yards, caught seven of eight targets for 55 yards and averaged 23.2 yards over six kickoff returns. Williams enters the offseason as a free agent and could be brought back to compete for a depth role.

Raheim Sanders RB | CLE
Browns' Raheim Sanders: Six touches in finale
Sanders had five carries for 26 yards and caught his lone target for seven yards in Sunday's 20-18 win over the Bengals in Week 18.
Due to injuries in the backfield, Sanders operated as the No. 2 back for a third consecutive game. The undrafted rookie landed with the Browns a week before the start of the regular season and played four games. He finished with 27 carries for 92 yards, and three receptions on four targets for 21 yards. Sanders could return for 2026, but change is coming in Cleveland. The statuses of head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry are a popular topic. A new regime -- front office or coaching or, most likely, both -- would indicate roster changes are coming. If Sanders survives, he'll still operate as running back depth behind Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | PIT
Steelers' Kenneth Gainwell: Leading receiver for PIT
Gainwell took five carries for 10 yards and a touchdown while adding eight receptions on nine targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over Baltimore.
Starter Jaylen Warren (14-66-0) continued to lead Pittsburgh's rushing attack, but it was Gainwell who produced the superior fantasy score after vulturing a rushing touchdown while also leading the team in receiving Sunday. The veteran backup emerged as a legitimate threat out of the backfield in 2025 after setting new high-water marks in receptions (84), receiving yards (486) and total touchdowns (eight). Gainwell should remain productive in DFS formats that award points for receptions when the Steelers take on the Texans in the wild-card round of the playoffs next Monday.
-
Jaylen Warren RB | PIT
Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Leading rusher on 14 attempts
Warren rushed 14 times for 66 yards while bringing in all five of his targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over the Ravens.
Warren continued to pace Pittsburgh's backfield in carries and yardage while RB Kenneth Gainwell poached a short rushing TD while leading the team in receiving (8-64-0). The 26-year-old Warren handled his first season as the team's starter adequately, producing a career-best 211-958-6 rushing line across 16 regular-season starts. Warren and Gainwell figure to continue complementing each other in a tandem effort against Houston's vaunted defense next Monday for the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Ty Chandler RB | MIN
Vikings' Ty Chandler: Double-digit carries in win
Chandler rushed 10 times for 23 yards and caught three of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 16-3 win over the Packers.
Chandler was able to step into a more significant role in the backfield with Aaron Jones (hip) inactive in Week 18, garnering a season-high 10 carries. Chandler also reeled in his first passes of the year, finishing tied for second on the team in catches with wide receiver Jalen Nailor. The running back missed the majority of the season while on injured reserve with a knee injury, and he'll end the year having compiled 47 rushing yards on 17 carries while catching three of four targets for 11 yards over three regular-season contests. Chandler will enter the offseason as a free agent, and considering both Jones and Jordan Mason are under contract for next year, Chandler feels unlikely to return to Minnesota.
