  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Still limited at practice

Jacobs (groin/hip) was limited at practice again Thursday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

As the report notes, Jacobs also "took to social media (Thursday) to say he had lost 10 pounds" due to an illness. After playing through a groin injury in Week 2, having felt under the weather of late and now being listed with a hip issue, Jacobs could well be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. That said, we still expect the rookie back to suit up this weekend. We'll let you know if that outlook changes, however, based on his Friday practice participation.

  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Colts' Marlon Mack: Misses another practice

Mack (calf) did not practice Thursday.

Per Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star, Mack did make an appearance on the practice field Thursday, but he didn't have his helmet with him at that time and ultimately was deemed a non-participant. What Mack does Friday will therefore be critical with regard to his Week 3 availability. If he's limited or out Sunday against the Falcons, added touches would be available for Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines.

  • Corey Clement RB | ARI

Eagles' Corey Clement: Spectator at practice

Clement (shoulder) didn't participate in Thursday's practice.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Clement's right shoulder injury would likely keep him sidelined for 1-to-2 weeks, but the Eagles have yet to officially rule him out for Sunday's game against the Lions. That said, Clement's lack of practice participation Wednesday and Thursday suggests that he'll likely trending toward an inactive status in Week 3. The 24-year-old has mainly handled a special teams role through the Eagles' first two games, logging just three offensive snaps between the contests.

  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Colts' Marlon Mack: Dealing with calf issue

Mack (calf) did not appear to be practicing Thursday, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Mack was listed as non-participant in what was described as an up-tempo walk-through Wednesday, so it's not especially surprising that he's not an active participant in the team's regular practice session Thursday. What's he's able to do Friday will therefore be telling with regard to his Week 3 status, though Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star noted Wednesday that Mack is downplaying his calf injury.

  • Chiefs' Damien Williams: Remains sidelined

Williams (knee) won't practice Thursday, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Meanwhile, fellow running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) is in line to get some work in Thursday, presumably giving him a better shot to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens. If Williams is unable to rally in time to suit up this weekend, additional backfield snaps would be available for Darwin Thompson and Darrel Williams.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Drops weight due to illness

Jacobs, who has been dealing with a groin injury, indicated that he's also been under the weather of late and has dropped 10 pounds, NBC Sports California reports.

Jacobs logged a limited practice Wednesday and that figures to be the case again Thursday. At this point, however, his status for Sunday's game against the Vikings does not appear in danger, with the potential concern being that he may be operating at less than 100 percent this weekend. In Week 2's loss to the Chiefs, in additional to battling through his groin issue, Jacobs left the contest "for a bit to get an IV."

  • Bills' Devin Singletary: Misses second straight practice

Singletary (hamstring) is not practicing for a second straight day Thursday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Singletary's injury is still being called a "day-to-day" thing, though a second missed session doesn't bode well for his availability Sunday against the Bengals. We'll see if he can go at least on a limited basis Friday, but right now the 36-year-old Frank Gore -- and to a lesser extent T.J. Yeldon -- are due for heavier workloads this weekend if Singletary can't rally.

  • Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: Back to third on depth chart

With Dontrell Hilliard (concussion) returning to practice, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, Johnson becomes third on the running back depth chart leading up Week 3 against the Rams.

Johnson was a respectable fill-in last week as the primary backup to Nick Chubb, catching three passes for 42 yards and adding eight yards on the ground. During the Browns' Week 1 loss, when all of their backs were healthy, Johnson was limited to just nine snaps (12 percent).

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: To yield touches to Williams?

Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that the Packers would "like to even out those touches a little bit" between Jones and Jamaal Williams, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

LaFleur's comments come on the heels of Jones receiving a career-high 27 touches, which he turned into 150 yards from scrimmage and one TD run. However, Jones' usage was static from the season opener (59 percent of the snaps on offense) to Week 2 (61), and Williams' workload actually increased as well from 41 to 49 percent of those plays. Despite having a slight lead in work, Jones has more than doubled Williams' touch count (41-19) to date. Considering Jones is averaging 4.3 YPC to Williams' 2.0, LaFleur doesn't have much impetus to change what's been working, health aside. Notably, Jones ended both of his first two campaigns on IR, so upping Williams' number of snaps/touches could help the former stay fresh throughout the season and potentially into the playoffs.

  • Packers' Jamaal Williams: Still set to split touches

Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that he wants to "even up" carries between Williams and Aaron Jones, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Williams saw just nine carries for 28 yards while catching three passes for 13 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's win over the Vikings. Meanwhile, Jones logged a career-high 23 rushing attempts and compiled 150 scrimmage yards and a score on 27 touches. LaFleur is hoping to keep Jones fresh for the entire season and could prioritize a more balanced backfield going forward, but the Packers should still turn to the more explosive running back, Jones, in clutch situations.
