  • 49ers' Raheem Mostert: Racks up 151 yards in win

Mostert gained 83 yards on 13 carries and added three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 41-17 win over the Bengals.

Mostert put an early exclamation point on his afternoon late in the first quarter, taking a screen pass 39 yards for the score. It was a huge performance after a ho-hum Week 1. With Tevin Coleman (ankle) sidelined, Mostert and Matt Breida have had a pretty even split with 28 touches for Breida and 26 for Mostert and both enjoying a big day Sunday. Next up is a struggling Steelers squad.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Takes lead role

Montgomery rushed 18 times for 62 yards and a touchdown while adding a reception for an additional six yards in the Bears 16-14 victory over the Broncos on Sunday.

After being criminally misused in Week 1 when Mike Davis easily out-touched the rookie, coach Matt Nagy didn't make the same mistake in this contest. Although the Broncos consistently hit Montgomery at or near the line of scrimmage, he frequently was able to break tackles to gain yardage. On a late third-quarter drive, he was given five carries within a six-play span when the ball was inside Denver's five-yard line, and on the last play, he fought through tackles before finally stretching the ball across the goal line for his first NFL touchdown. Assuming he continues to work as the lead back, he should be a solid weekly fantasy option.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Continues slow start

Mixon ran for 17 yards on 11 carries and added 10 yards on three catches during Sunday's 41-17 loss to the 49ers.

Mixon was bottled up before exiting Week 1 against the Seahawks with an ankle injury and didn't get any luckier in Week 2. The sample size -- just 17 carries -- is small, but the Oklahoma product is averaging just 1.59 yards per carry to start the year. It doesn't get much easier in Week 3 against a stingy Bills defense.

  • Chiefs' Damien Williams: Suffers knee injury

Williams is questionable to return to Sunday's game at Oakland due to a knee injury.

If Williams is unable to return, he'll end Week 2 with nine carries for eight yards and three catches (on five targets) for 48 yards. LeSean McCoy likely will be the primary ballcarrier in Williams' absence, but Darwin Thompson and Darrel Williams also are on hand for touches out of the Chiefs' backfield.

  • Qadree Ollison RB | PIT

Falcons' Qadree Ollison: Sitting again Sunday

Ollison (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.

For the second week in a row, Ollison and Brian Hill will be healthy scratches. The Falcons' backfield remains the domain of Devonta Freeman and Ito Smith, while Kenjon Barner takes on a special teams role.

  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Colts' Marlon Mack: Neutralized by Titans defense

Mack accounted for 51 rushing yards on 20 carries while hauling in two of three targets for 12 receiving yards during Sunday's 19-17 win against the Titans.

Coming off a season-opening performance in which he eclipsed his previous career best in rushing by more than 25 yards, Mack's dud against the Titans comes as a disappointment to those who believed that the 23-year-old was beginning to round himself into a consistent RB1. Evidenced by the No. 3 ranking in run defense in 2018 and and proficient early season play in 2019, Tennessee's front seven continues to be stout under the tutelage of coach Mike Vrabel. Mack may find more open lanes in Week 3, taking on a Falcons defense that surrendered three rushing scores and more than 170 yards on the ground in the season-opening loss to Minnesota.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Quiet as team blown out again

Drake rushed six times for 19 yards and caught five of six targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 43-0 loss to the Patriots.

Drake is probably Miami's most talented offensive player, but he's wasting away on an atrocious team that's been outscored 102-10 through two weeks. There are trade rumors swirling around Drake, and a move to another team would almost certainly be a boon to his fantasy value, as no Dolphins look like appealing options at the moment.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Totals 191 scrimmage yards

Cook carried 20 times for 154 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 21-16 loss to the Packers. He also caught three passes for an additional 37 yards.

Cook provided one of the highlights of the day when he burst up the middle and cut outside for a 75-yard touchdown run. He finished averaging 7.7 yards per carry and supplemented that production with an impactful performance as a pass catcher. Cook has been extremely productive through the first two weeks of the season, piling up 311 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 46 touches. He has been a true workhorse for the Vikings and fantasy owners alike, with next Sunday's home matchup against the Raiders presenting him with another opportunity to impress.

  • Benny Snell RB | DET

Steelers' Benny Snell: Big gain on lone Week 2 touch

Snell gained 23 yards on his lone carry and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 28-26 loss to Seattle.

While Snell only got one touch here, his workload could climb if James Conner -- who exited in the second half due to a knee injury -- is forced to miss any time moving forward. Jaylen Samuels would like be the primary beneficiary of a Conner absence, but the rookie fourth-rounder out of Kentucky would likely mix in as well and looked good on his lone touch in this one.

  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Leads team in rushing yards

Penny rushed 10 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-26 win over the Steelers.

The Seahawks gave Penny extra opportunities since Chris Carson fumbled in the second half, and he shined with a 37-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. Penny's advantage over Carson is his explosiveness and big-play ability, which was on display here since he averaged just 2.8 YPC on the other nine carries. Expect Carson to take over again as the No. 1 in Week 3 versus the Saints, but this contest proves Penny is worth holding onto in season-long leagues in case the tide shifts.
