  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Tops 80 scrimmage yards in win

Warren carried the ball 18 times for 47 yards and caught five of six targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Patriots.

The fourth-year running back caught multiple passes for the third straight game to begin the season, with the five grabs and six targets both being season highs. Warren was denied a much bigger fantasy performance when Kenneth Gainwell vultured a one-yard rushing TD in the first quarter, however. Warren has racked up 274 scrimmage yards so far as the Steelers' unquestioned lead back, and he'll look to continue his PPR prowess in Week 4 against the Vikings.

  • Jaydon Blue RB | DAL

Cowboys' Jaydon Blue: Healthy scratch again Week 3

Blue (coach's decision) isn't active for Sunday's battle against the Bears, Garrett Podell of CBS Sports reports.

Blue has now been a healthy scratch in each of Dallas' first three games of the campaign. Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders will again be the team's two active RBs in Week 3.

  • Jordan James RB | SF

49ers' Jordan James: Won't play against Arizona

James (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.

James missed the first game of the regular season due to a finger injury, and while he has fully recovered, he will be a healthy scratch for a second straight game. With the rookie fifth-rounder in street clothes, Brian Robinson and Isaac Guerendo will operate as the 49ers' depth running backs behind Christian McCaffrey. James' next chance to make his NFL regular-season debut is Week 4 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Sept. 28.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Bengals' Samaje Perine: Won't return vs. Minnesota

Perine (thumb) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Perine injured his right thumb in the first half of Sunday's game and won't return for the final two quarters of the contest. Tahj Brooks should see additional work out of the backfield behind Chase Brown due to Perine's injury.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Bears' D'Andre Swift: Active as expected Sunday

Swift (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Earlier reports indicated Swift would be playing through his quadriceps issue, and that is now official. The veteran back should fill his usual lead-back role and will aim to capitalize on a Cowboys defense that's allowed 121.0 rushing yards per game through the first two contests of the season.

  • Devin Neal RB | NO

Saints' Devin Neal: Healthy scratch Week 3

Neal (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Seattle.

Neal entered the weekend with just two rushes for nine yards on the campaign, and he won't get a chance to add to that Sunday. Instead, Velus Jones -- who also serves as New Orleans' top kick returner -- is slated to work as the team's No. 3 RB behind Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Bengals' Samaje Perine: Exits with thumb injury

Perine is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Vikings due to a right thumb injury.

Perine went to the locker room late in the second quarter, where medical staff will evaluate the severity of his thumb injury. Rookie sixth-rounder Tahj Brooks should see some snaps out of the backfield behind Chase Brown for as long as Perine is out of the game.

  • Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Won't play Week 3

McLaughlin (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

McLaughlin will be a healthy inactive for a third consecutive week, and it doesn't appear likely that he'll suit up for a game unless J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey or Tyler Badie were to miss time. McLaughlin's next chance to play is Week 4 against the Bengals on Monday, Sept. 29.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Set for lead role Sunday

Walker will be the Seahawks' lead running back Sunday against the Saints with Zach Charbonnet (foot) inactive.

As expected, Charbonnet won't be available for Sunday's contest due to a foot injury that didn't allow him to practice during Week 3 prep. In the first two games of the campaign, Walker and Charbonnet received 27 touches apiece, and considering the Seahawks' other available RBs (George Holani and Jacardia Wright) have combined for zero offensive snaps this season, Walker is in line for a massive workload this weekend. In the only regular-season game Charbonnet has missed in his two-plus years as a pro (Week 7 versus the Cardinals in 2023), Walker racked up 111 yards from scrimmage and no TDs on 28 touches.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Inactive Sunday

Charbonnet (foot) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Saints.

Given that Charbonnet didn't practice this week due to a foot injury that left him doubtful to suit up Week 3, his lack of availability doesn't come as a surprise. The Seahawks have a short turnaround Week 4 with a visit to the Cardinals on tap Thursday, so there's a chance he's in line for a multi-game absence. In the meantime, Kenneth Walker is set to be a workhorse out of Seattle's backfield, while George Holani and undrafted rookie Jacardia Wright are the options behind him.
