Branden Oliver RB | IND
Chargers' Branden Oliver: Should return as No. 3 RB
Oliver should reclaim his role as the Chargers' No. 3 running back after Andre Williams sustained a broken wrist in Sunday's win over the Redskins, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Oliver has been a healthy scratch of late after recovering from the hamstring injury, since Williams provides more value on special teams. The veteran running back is likely to be active as the team's third running back going forward, but barring an injury to Melvin Gordon or Austin Ekeler, a significant offensive role should not be expected.

LeShun Daniels RB | NE
Redskins' LeShun Daniels: First game action Sunday
Daniels rushed twice for 12 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Chargers.
Daniels saw his first NFL action Sunday after Byron Marshall sustained a hamstring injury early in the contest. If Marshall continues to miss time, Daniels will be in line to be the No. 2 back on depth chart behind Samaje Perine against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Mike Gillislee RB | NE
Patriots' Mike Gillislee: Inactive for Monday Night Football
Gillislee (illness) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Dolphins.
With Gillislee inactive for the fifth straight game, Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead and James White will head the Patriots' Week 14 backfield. Future game plans may lead to Gillislee's power running skills being needed down the stretch, but he's the odd man out for now.

Shane Vereen RB | NO
Giants' Shane Vereen: Minor role
Vereen had six carries for 23 yards, four targets, three catches and 24 receiving yards in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Cowboys.
Vereen is maintaining a minor role as the third-string runner and sometime third-down back.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Expects to return this week
Kamara (concussion) said Monday that he expects to return for Sunday's game against the Jets, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
After suffering a concussion on the opening drive of Thursday's 20-17 loss to Atlanta, the rookie remains optimistic that a long week will allow him to avoid any further missed time. He still needs to make his way through the NFL's concussion protocol, and there may not be another update until Wednesday when the Saints release their first injury report of the week. Kamara will have a suboptimal matchup if he returns, facing a Jets defense that's been torched by wideouts and tight ends but has done a surprisingly nice job of containing running backs. While he's mostly benefited from favorable matchups during his incredible run of production, Kamara did parlay 14 touches into 126 yards and two touchdowns Week 13 against the Panthers.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Redskins' Samaje Perine: Recovering from illness
Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Monday that Perine is merely dealing with an illness and should be okay.
Perine was removed from Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Chargers with a "stomach" ailment, which might have been interpreted as an abdomen or core muscle injury. It turns out he was just feeling sick and was thus removed from the latter stages of a blowout loss, finishing with 17 carries for 45 yards and four catches for seven yards on four targets. Byron Marshall (hamstring) also left the game early, eventually leaving LeShun Daniels as the team's only healthy running back. Marshall may end up missing some time, but Perine should be fine with a full week to recover from his illness ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Raiders' Cordarrelle Patterson: Earns six targets in Week 14
Patterson caught three passes on six targets for eight yards in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Chiefs.
Patterson tied his season-high in targets with six during Sunday's loss, but he averaged a dismal 2.7 yards per catch and has yet to record a single receiving touchdown in 13 games. He's now logged at least 25 offensive snaps in four consecutive games, and there could be a solid chance that streak extends into Week 15 after starting receiver Amari Cooper re-injured his left ankle Sunday.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Vikings' Latavius Murray: Still has lingering ankle soreness
Murray said he still deals with general soreness in his surgically repaired ankle, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
This is at least the second time this season that Murray has mentioned the lingering effects of his March ankle surgery. Of course, it was a much bigger concern when he talked about the ankle in early October, at which point he'd taken only 14 carries for 38 yards in four games. He's since emerged as the more reliable half of a split backfield with Jerick McKinnon, averaging 3.9 yards per carry on 15.7 totes per game (60.9 yards) since Dalvin Cook suffered a torn ACL in Week 4. Given that Murray hasn't been listed on the injury report recently, his ankle doesn't seem like a major concern heading into a Week 15 home matchup with an injury-riddled Cincinnati defense. He'll try to bounce back from a nine-carry, 14-yard showing in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Panthers.

Doug Martin RB | LV
Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Believes fumble led to benching
Martin believes he was benched after fumbling during a 24-21 loss to the Lions on Sunday, ESPN.com's Jenna Laine reports. "When you turn the ball over and you fumble, your chances get cut pretty short, so that's what happened there," said Martin.
Martin got the start and was busy throughout the first half, taking 10 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown and adding 24 yards on two catches. He didn't get another touch after losing a fumble late in the second quarter, allowing Peyton Barber to finish with 12 carries for 58 yards and one catch for five yards. It was a bit surprising to see Barber get just three carries before halftime, given that he had 143 yards on 27 touches the previous week when Martin was out with a concussion in a 26-20 loss to the Packers. Averaging just 3.1 yards per carry and 4.7 per target, Martin already seemed to be losing his grip on the lead role before he lost the fumble in Sunday's game. It's fair to wonder if Barber might take the starting gig for Week 15 against the Falcons on Monday Night Football.

Corey Grant RB | JAC
Jaguars' Corey Grant: Suffers shoulder injury in win
Grant sustained a right shoulder injury in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Seahawks, the Associated Press reports.
Grant suffered the injury on a kickoff return in the third quarter, during which he coughed up the ball. The Seahawks recovered the fumble and scored a touchdown on their next play to tie the game at 10-10. Though Grant was able to return to the game, his practice time could be limited heading into the Week 15 matchup with the Texans while he manages the injury.
