Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Giants' Devin Singletary: Remains limited in practice
Singletary (groin) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Singletary now has cobbled together back-to-back capped sessions to kick off Week 6 prep, which is one more limited practice than he managed last week before he was deemed doubtful and eventually inactive this past Sunday at Seattle due to a groin injury. Friday's practice report ultimately will unveil whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's matchup with the Bengals.

James Cook RB | BUF
Bills' James Cook: Listed as non-participant
Cook (toe) didn't practice Thursday.
Cook did some work on a side field but was then held out of practice for a second straight day, leaving his availability for Monday's game against the Jets in doubt. He'll have two more chances to practice before the game, with Ty Johnson and Ray Davis positioned for more snaps and touches if Cook doesn't end up playing. Davis played only three snaps in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Houston, but he might be the lead runner if Cook is inactive, as Johnson mostly has been used on passing downs throughout this pro career.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Back at practice Thursday
Kamara (hip/hand) was present at Thursday's practice, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Kamara missed the first session of Week 4 prep, something that was replicated to begin this week, but it appears as if Wednesday's absence was more maintenance-related than anything as he tends to hip and hand injuries. Thursday's practice report will reveal how much work he was able to handle.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bengals' Zack Moss: Present for practice
Moss (foot) was in uniform for Thursday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Moss didn't practice Wednesday, so his presence on the field a day later is a positive indicator ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. The Bengals' upcoming injury report will provide added context on that front by clarifying Moss' official participation level Thursday.

James Cook RB | BUF
Bills' James Cook: Only doing work on side Thursday
Cook (foot/toe) is working on the side field at practice Thursday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Cook appears destined to considered 'DNP' for a second straight day after having picked up foot and toe injuries during Buffalo's narrow Week 5 loss to Houston. The starting running back is reportedly considered 'day-to-day' entering a Monday Night Football matchup against the Jets, but he'll only have two more chances to officially participate in practice before receiving an injury designation for the Week 6 matchup. Ty Johnson and Ray Davis are next up for backfield touches for the Bills if Cook is forced to miss any time.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Still not practicing
Stevenson (foot) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Stevenson didn't practice Wednesday, which sets the stage for Friday's session to loom large in terms of the running back's availability for Sunday's game against the Texans. If he ends up limited or out this weekend, Antonio Gibson would be in line for added Week 6 snaps, with JaMycal Hasty in reserve.

Trey Sermon RB | PIT
Colts' Trey Sermon: Back at practice
Sermon (collarbone) was present for practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Though top back Jonathan Taylor indicated to James Boyd of The Athletic that his ankle is feeling better at this stage, he wasn't spotted during the initial portion of Thursday's session. The Colts' upcoming injury report will clarify the official participation level of both Taylor and Sermon.
-
Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Not seen as practice opens
Taylor (ankle) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
While Taylor appears on track to be listed as DNP for the second straight day, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star relays that the running back indicated prior to practice that the "pain level has gone down tremendously" in his right ankle. Meanwhile, Taylor's top backup Trey Sermon (collarbone) didn't practice Wednesday but was present for Thursday's session.
-
Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Texans' Joe Mixon: Spotted at practice
Mixon (ankle) was present for practice Thursday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
After not practicing last week, Mixon also was a DNP on Wednesday, but his presence at Thursday's session offers hope that the running back could be available Sunday against the Patriots. The Texans' upcoming injury report will reveal the official participation level of both Mixon and Dameon Pierce (hamstring), the latter of whom was limited Wednesday.
-
Cam Akers RB | SEA
Texans' Cam Akers: May lose lead back role Week 6
Akers may not be the Texans' lead back Week 6 against the Patriots, if the report from Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston that Dameon Pierce (hamstring) is expected to play holds up over the next few days.
Pierce, who has been sidelined the last four games, practiced Wednesday in a limited fashion, but head coach DeMeco Ryans was optimistic about the running back's chances to play Sunday. "He's done a great job with his rehab process and he's back out working, so we're expecting to have him ready to go for the game," Ryans said. Akers and Dare Ogunbowale have shared the backfield snaps while both Pierce and Joe Mixon (ankle) were unavailable the last four weeks. Akers has posted modest numbers during that stretch, including a rushing touchdown, a receiving score and several red-zone touches.
