Harris rushed 11 times for 39 yards and added a 20-yard reception on his lone target in Friday's 23-6 preseason win over the Jets.
Harris was the first running back to record a touch for the Giants in Friday's preseason finale, which Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary sat out. Fellow RB Tyrone Tracy (neck) left the game in the second quarter and didn't return, though Tracy managed to clear concussion protocol. The Giants may opt to keep all four of Skattebo, Singletary, Harris and Tracy on their roster once they cut down to 53 players for the regular season.

Giants' Najee Harris: Listed as co-No. 2 RB
Harris is listed as the Giants' co-No. 2 RB along with Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary, behind Cam Skattebo on the team's unofficial depth chart.
Harris has been with the organization for only one week, but the torn Achilles he suffered in Week 3 of last season hasn't stopped him from practicing since joining New York. The Giants likely will want to see all three of Tracy, Harris and Singletary in their final preseason game Friday against the Jets if possible to solidify the order behind Skattebo, and determine who among them may be a candidate to get cut.

Giants' Najee Harris: Looks good at practice
Harris (Achilles) is participating in live drills Thursday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Harris hasn't played since Week 3 of the 2025 season due to a torn Achilles. He signed a one-year contract with the Giants on Tuesday and looked good physically while participating in practice Thursday, per Raanan. It's a positive sign that Harris is already working in live drills with his new team, but he will still need to earn a roster spot in a backfield that also includes Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary.

Giants' Najee Harris: Signing with Big Blue
Harris (Achilles) signed a one-year deal with the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
The Giants were clearly convinced that Harris has made enough progress in his Achilles rehab to contribute this season, after the veteran visited with the team Monday. He's now set to join a backfield headed by Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary. Harris is well-regarded for his blitz pickup and short-yardage ability, which could complicate the snaps projection for the Giants' incumbent RBs even if Harris himself is not a featured part of the offense.

Najee Harris: Could join Big Blue
Giants head coach John Harbaugh said that Harris (Achilles) looked good in Monday's workout, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Harbaugh noted that Harris wasn't in football shape following Tuesday's visit and that bringing in the 2021 first-rounder would "be a process." However, it appears the Giants are open to adding Harris, who continues to recover from a left Achilles tear that he sustained in September. It's unclear how much work Harris would see if he does join the Giants, given that the backfield features Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary.

Harris (Achilles) visited the Giants on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The veteran is visiting a team for the first time since the spring, when he met with both the Raiders and Seahawks. Harris is working his way back from a torn Achilles that ended his 2025 season in Week 3. The Giants have plenty of youth in their running back room with Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy, along with the seasoned Devin Singletary. Harris is two years removed from notching his fourth 1,000-yard season as a pro.

Najee Harris: Scheduled to visit with Vegas
Harris (Achilles) plans to meet with the Raiders next Thursday, April 2, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Harris met with Seattle on Wednesday -- his first reported visit of free agency. He's six months removed from the Achilles tear that ended his 2025 campaign in Week 3, with not much hope of returning to Los Angeles after the Chargers signed Keaton Mitchell. The Seahawks might offer Harris an opportunity to compete for a starting job, whereas he'd merely provide depth behind Ashton Jeanty in Las Vegas. Regardless of where he signs, the 28-year-old Harris will face a difficult path back to fantasy relevance, rehabbing from an injury that's notoriously tough on running backs.

Najee Harris: Visiting with Seahawks
Harris (Achilles) is slated to visit Seattle on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Harris is roughly six months removed from suffering a torn left Achilles that preemptively ended his 2025 campaign with the Chargers in Week 3, and agent Doug Hendrickson shared a video via his personal social media accounts on Monday of the 28-year-old running back looking well while sprinting on a treadmill. The Seahawks would make for an enticing landing spot for Harris, as the team lost Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs in free agency and Zach Charbonnet (knee) is recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL undergone in February. As such, free-agency signee Emanuel Wilson and George Holani represent the top competition for offseason backfield reps in Seattle. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Harris also has a visit lined up with the Raiders, where a clear need for depth behind Ashton Jeanty exists.

Chargers' Najee Harris: Progresses to running
Harris has progressed to running at 15 mph on a treadmill in his recovery from a torn Achilles, agent Doug Hendrickson announced Monday on X.
In a video posted by Hendrickson, Harris is shown running with relative ease five months after suffering the injury that ended his 2025 season back in Week 3. Harris played last season on a one-year, $5.25 million deal, so he's again set to become a free agent next month. Prior to 2025, Harris had never missed a single at the NFL level. He turns 28 years old in two weeks.
