Ty Chandler RB | NO
Vikings' Ty Chandler: Outperforms Jones in win
Chandler rushed 10 times for 82 yards in the Vikings' 23-17 win over the 49ers on Sunday. He was also sacked on a pass attempt.
Chandler blew backfield mate Aaron Jones away in production, as he outgained the veteran back by a full 50 rushing yards on just one additional carry. Chandler's lack of involvement in the passing game wasn't ideal, but considering he recorded three receptions Week 1 and 21 last season in part-time duty, his absence from the air attack is likely just a one-game outlier. Chandler's explosiveness combined with the desire to keep Jones fresh throughout the long season, and the latter's fumble at the shadow of the goal line Sunday should help lock in another solid role for Chandler in Week 3 against the Texans.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Texans' Joe Mixon: Back in against Bears
Mixon (ankle) has returned to Sunday's game against the Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Mixon missed less than a quarter after hurting his ankle in the second half of Sunday night's game. He'll return to the lead role in Houston's backfield for the remainder of the game barring a setback.

Blake Corum RB | LAR
Rams' Blake Corum: Officially makes LAR debut
Corum rushed eight times for 28 yards in Sunday's 41-10 blowout loss to the Cardinals.
Corum made his much-anticipated debut with the Rams after receiving no touches in Week 1. The third-round pick wound up leading the team in rushing yards, but the uptick in usage has to be attributed to the lopsided nature of this game, as most of his work came after starters were pulled. Kyren Williams (12/25/1) remains the starter in Sean McVay's offense, but Corum's involvement as a backup option Sunday's restores hope for the rookie's sleeper status heading into a Week 3 matchup against the 49ers.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Patriots' Antonio Gibson: Effective as rusher in Week 2
Gibson rushed the ball 11 times for 96 yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Seahawks. He added one reception on one target for seven yards.
When Gibson landed with New England this offseason, it was expected that he would serve as the team's primary pass catcher out of the backfield. Through two games, he has only one reception, but he has made his mark as a rusher. On Sunday, his highlight reel play came midway through the fourth quarter when he evaded penetration in the backfield and broke free for a 45-yard run -- the Patriots' longest play from scrimmage on the day. Rhamondre Stevenson is still the clear lead back in New England, but Gibson has proven to be a key piece of the offense early on.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bengals' Zack Moss: Gains 47 yards on 13 touches
Moss rushed 12 times for 34 yards and brought in his only target for 13 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
The Bengals lost a hard-fought defensive battle against last year's Super Bowl champions, resulting in several underwhelming fantasy lines Sunday. Moss was one of the victims after averaging just 2.8 yards per tote in the last-second defeat. After two weeks of unfortunate game scripts for fantasy managers, Cincinnati's new starting tailback may finally receive the amount of touches against the Commanders next Monday that Moss's hopeful draftees envisioned when selecting the upside play coming into the 2024 season.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Texans' Joe Mixon: Goes to locker room with injury
Mixon (ankle) went to the locker room in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Bears, Ben Arthur of Fox Sports reports. He is questionable to return.
Mixon injured his ankle when it got caught underneath a defender. After a brief visit to the medical tent, he made his way to the locker room for further examination. Prior to the injury, Mixon rushed seven times for 20 yards and caught three of five targets for 25 yards. Dameon Pierce (hamstring) isn't dressed against the Bears, leaving Cam Akers and Dare Ogunbowale as the two available options at running back in Mixon's absence.

Kyren Williams RB | LAR
Rams' Kyren Williams: Contributes 52 yards plus TD
Williams rushed 12 times for 25 yards and a touchdown while catching four of five targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Cardinals.
Williams led the Rams in touches for the second week in a row, scoring his second touchdown in as many games. The antithesis of a silver lining is that Williams is averaging just 2.5 yards per tote through two games. On top of that, rookie backup Blake Corum chipped into the 2023 fantasy breakout's workload with eight carries for 28 yards after being a healthy scratch in Week 1. Sunday's blowout nature affected the shift in touch distribution between the Rams' top two running backs, as most of Corum's touches came after the team's starters were pulled. Williams remains the preferred fantasy option heading into a tough Week 3 matchup against the 49ers on Sunday.

Zamir White RB | LV
Raiders' Zamir White: Stymied in Week 2 win
White rushed nine times for 24 yards and secured three of four targets for 14 yards in the Raiders' 26-23 win over the Ravens on Sunday.
The Raiders managed to pull off an improbable victory, but because they trailed for large swaths of the game, the ground attack eventually took a back seat. White still led the team in carries, but it was notably Alexander Mattison that got a red-zone attempt in the third quarter that netted a one-yard touchdown. White has netted only 68 rushing yards on 22 carries over the first two games of the campaign, sending him into a Week 3 home matchup against the reeling Panthers with no appreciable fantasy momentum.

Zach Charbonnet RB | SEA
Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Notches second TD
Charbonnet rushed 14 times for 38 yards and a touchdown and caught all five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime win versus the Patriots.
Charbonnet started with Kenneth Walker (oblique) inactive, and he took advantage of the opportunity by scoring his second touchdown of the season while also featuring as a pass-catcher. His inefficiency was concerning, especially after turning eight carries into 12 yards last week, but his volume remains intriguing for fantasy purposes. It's unclear if Walker will be ready for a Week 3 clash against the Dolphins. Charbonnet figures to carry a heavy burden again if Walker's unable to go.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Rambles for 122 yards plus TD
Conner took 21 carries for 122 yards and a touchdown while collecting his lone target for two yards in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Rams.
Everything was clicking on offense for the Cardinals against the Rams' undermatched defense in Sunday's blowout victory. Conner was a big part of that success by registering his first 100-yard game and second rushing touchdown in 2024. The bruising back will face a stiffer defensive test when the Cardinals host the Lions in Week 3, but there is virtually no scenario in which Conner's managers should consider other options in Week 3 starting lineups.
