  • Jordan James RB | SF

49ers' Jordan James: Remaining healthy scratch Week 15

James (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against Tennessee.

James has yet to make his NFL debut and has consistently been a healthy scratch on game days. The rookie fifth-rounder is firmly behind all of Christian McCaffrey, Brian Robinson and Isaac Guerendo on the 49ers' RB depth chart.

  • 49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Active versus Titans

McCaffrey (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans.

After an illness impacted his practice participation Wednesday and Thursday, McCaffrey worked fully Friday and initially approached Sunday's contest minus a designation. However, on Saturday the running back was added the 49ers' Week 15 injury report due to a back issue. With his availability versus Tennessee confirmed, McCaffrey is back on track to pace his team's backfield in the absence of any in-game setbacks. Next up for San Franciso's backfield touches if McCaffrey is hampered at all would be Brian Robinson and Isaac Guerendo.

  • Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Suiting up Sunday despite illness

Wilson (illness) is active for Sunday's contest at Denver, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Wilson was tacked on to the Packers' Week 15 injury report Saturday due to an illness and deemed questionable for Sunday. Adam Schefter of ESPN later reported that Wilson showed up to team facilities earlier Saturday under the weather and was sent home with medication with the aim he'd feel well enough to play this weekend. Wilson at least will be available to Green Bay's offense, but he may only be available in an emergency capacity behind Josh Jacobs (knee), while Chris Brooks also is on hand for snaps.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Officially active in Week 15

Jacobs (knee) is listed as active Sunday at Denver, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Jacobs has been tending to a knee injury since he sustained it during a Week 11 win at the Giants, sitting out Week 12 but leading the Packers backfield the last two games. He then experienced renewed stiffness and swelling in the knee in the wake of last Sunday's victory against the Bears, sitting out practice Wednesday and Thursday before logging a limited session Friday. Despite Jacobs being tagged as questionable entering the weekend, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday evening that he was expected to play Week 15, which has been confirmed. With No. 2 RB Emanuel Wilson dealing with an illness but still active Sunday, Jacobs should be Green Bay's primary option out of the backfield, while Chris Brooks also is on hand for snaps.

  • Woody Marks RB | HOU

Texans' Woody Marks: Hurts ankle Sunday

Marks exited Sunday's game against the Cardinals with an ankle injury and is questionable to return.

Before his departure from the contest, Marks carried the ball seven times for 30 yards and caught his only target for eight yards. He also was credited with his sixth touchdown of the season on a strange play, when a goal-line snap went through C.J. Stroud's legs straight to Marks, who took it into the end zone on what was ruled a fumble recovery rather than a carry. If the running back ends up missing the rest of the game, Dare Ogunbowale and Jawhar Jordan are likely to assume most of the touches out of the backfield.

  • Zonovan Knight RB | ARI

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Suffers ankle injury

Knight exited Sunday's game at Houston due to an ankle injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Knight had his left ankle pinned under a Texans defender as he was tackled to the turf early in the first quarter. Per Urban, Knight was carted to the locker room and soon after was deemed questionable to return. Michael Carter and Emari Demercado are left as the likeliest candidates to carry Arizona's backfield for as long as Knight is sidelined.

  • Woody Marks RB | HOU

Texans' Woody Marks: Heightened role awaits

Marks is expected to serve as the Texans' lead back in Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to Nick Chubb (ribs) being inactive for the contest, Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Warren notes that Houston could have Dare Ogunbowale and Jawhar Jordan mix in for reps out of the backfield, but the lion's share of touches and snaps will likely fall to Marks. After Chubb departed early in this past Sunday's 20-10 win over the Chiefs, Marks finished with an 87 percent offensive snap share and produced 76 total yards and a touchdown on a season-high 28 touches.

  • Commanders' Jeremy McNichols: More work available with Rodriguez out

McNichols is in line for more work Sunday at the Giants with Chris Rodriguez (groin) inactive for the contest.

Rodriguez logged a pair of limited practices during Week 15 prep due to a groin issue, and after being listed as questionable ahead of the weekend, he'll get at least one week off to focus on his rehab. His 55 touches from the past five outings thus are available, but Jacory Croskey-Merritt seems likeliest to benefit on early downs, while McNichols serves in a change-of-pace role. McNichols is averaging 3.8 touches for 27.8 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring one rushing TD in 13 appearances on the campaign.

  • Commanders' Jacory Croskey-Merritt: Set for more work with Rodriguez out

Croskey-Merritt is in line for an increased workload Sunday at the Giants with Chris Rodriguez (groin) inactive for the contest.

Rodriguez managed a pair of limited practices during Week 15 prep due to a groin injury, and after being listed as questionable ahead of the weekend, he'll get at least one week off to focus on his recovery. His 55 touches from the last five games thus are up for grabs, and Croskey-Merritt is the likeliest to benefit in the Commanders backfield due to his ability to handle early downs, while Jeremy McNichols serves as a change-of-pace option. A rookie seventh-round pick, Croskey-Merritt has averaged 4.4 yards per carry and 7.6 yards per catch among his 134 touches in 13 games to begin his career.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Texans' Nick Chubb: Sitting out Sunday

Chubb (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Though Chubb has a lengthy injury history, he had played in each of the Texans' first 14 games of the season before exiting last Sunday's win over the Chiefs due to the rib injury. He was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning to practice Friday as a limited participant, prompting the Texans to list him as questionable heading into the weekend. Ultimately, Chubb wasn't able to make enough progress to give it a go Sunday, so his absence should clear the way for rookie Woody Marks to serve as Houston's lead option out the backfield. Dare Ogunbowale, Jawhar Jordan and British Brooks will provide depth behind Marks.
