Packers' AJ Dillon: Status in question for Week 15

Dillon (thumb) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest versus the Buccaneers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Dillon managed just one limited practice this week due to the broken thumb that he suffered during Monday's road loss to the Giants, and Friday's appearance on the field included him wearing a cast on his right hand. The Packers still are determining whether or not Dillon can be effective while not being able to carry the ball as he normally would, something that'll be clearer about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Fellow running back Aaron Jones also is questionable for Week 15 action as he closes in on his return from the sprained MCL that he sustained back in Week 11, but he appears to be in a better spot on the health front, considering he's strung together six straight limited listings on injury reports going back to last week.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Questionable for Sunday's game

Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Jones appears to be closing in on his first appearances since Week 11, when he suffered a sprained MCL during a win against the Chargers. As has been the case for the Packers backfield all season, question marks abound, as fellow RB AJ Dillon is dealing with a broken thumb that has left his status for Week 15 up in the air. In the end, the statuses of both Jones and Dillon will receive clarity about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET deadline.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: In line for more work Sunday

Edwards-Helaire again is expected to see increased work out of the Chiefs backfield Sunday against the Patriots after Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) was ruled out for Week 15, Matt McMullen of the team's official site reports.

With Pacheco out last week, Edwards-Helaire narrowly out-snapped Jerick McKinnon, 32-30, and handled 11 carries to McKinnon's four. McKinnon, however, scored a goal-line touchdown, and Edwards-Helaire mustered 68 scoreless yards on 13 touches. Per McMullen, coach Andy Reid anticipates that Pacheco should be available for the Chiefs' Dec. 25 contest against the Raiders.

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Ruled out for Sunday

Pacheco (shoulder) won't play Sunday against the Patriots, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Per McMullen, coach Andy Reid relayed that Pacheco had a procedure done on his shoulder but is doing well, with the team anticipating that the running back will return next week ahead of a Dec. 25 contest against the Raiders. In Pacheco's continued absence this weekend, look for Clyde Edwards-Helaire to get another start in Week 15, with Jerick McKinnon also in line to see his share of backfield touches versus New England.

  • Tyler Goodson RB | ATL

Colts' Tyler Goodson: Will be available vs. Steelers

Indianapolis elevated Goodson from its practice squad to the active roster for Saturday's game versus the Steelers.

Goodson looks poised to suit up for the third consecutive game in Week 15 with Jonathan Taylor (thumb) still out. Over the past two games, he's turned three targets into three receptions for nine yards.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: Returns to practice

Dillon (thumb) is practicing Friday, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Dillon broke his thumb during Monday's loss to the Giants and then was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday. He's back on the field Friday with a wrap over his hand, with Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com noting that the running back still is trying to figure out if he can properly secure the ball. Fellow running back Aaron Jones (MCL sprain) is practicing again, and the Packers presumably would be more inclined to hold Dillon out if they have Jones back in the lineup Sunday against the Bucs.

  • Isiah Pacheco RB | DET

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Not seen at Friday's practice

Pacheco (shoulder) wasn't spotted during the initial stages of Friday's practice, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.

Pacheco didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, either, so at this stage it looks like he could be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots later Friday. If that ends up being the case, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon would be in line to lead the Chiefs' Week 15 backfield.

  • Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Will get more opportunities

Coach Ron Rivera said Friday that Rodriguez will get more opportunities out of the backfield with Brian Robinson (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.

Robinson left Week 13's game against the Dolphins early with the injury, and Rodriguez handled seven carries following his departure. Antonio Gibson still paced the team with 10 rushing attempts, and four of Rodriguez's seven carries came on Washington's final four snaps of a blowout loss. While Rodriguez figures to take at least some of the work that normally goes to Robinson, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly what the split between Gibson and the rookie will look like.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Ruled out for Week 15

Robinson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at the Rams, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Robinson hasn't practiced since injuring his hamstring in a Week 13 loss to Miami and now will miss Washington's first game since the Week 14 bye. Antonio Gibson likely will get the start and take more carries than usual, but rookie Chris Rodriguez also may take some of the snaps and carries that Robinson typically handles on early downs. Robinson's next chance to play will be Week 16 against the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 24.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Still not practicing

Stevenson (ankle) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Stevenson hasn't been able to practice this week and appears to be trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Chiefs. If the Patriots rule out Stevenson later Friday, the stage would be set for Ezekiel Elliott to continue to lead the team's backfield in Week 15.
