  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Lions' T.J. Hockenson: Team-high receiving yardage total

Hockenson secured three of four targets for 80 yards in the Lions' 31-27 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Hockenson's yardage total paced the Lions on the afternoon and was largely the result of a game-long 58-yard grab in the first quarter on a drive that culminated in a D'Andre Swift touchdown reception. Hockenson's tally through the air was also his second highest of the season, and he's recorded multiple catches in six of his first seven games. He'll aim to play an integral role once again against the Packers in a Week 9 NFC North home clash.

  • Tyler Conklin TE | DET

Jets' Tyler Conklin: Scores twice in Week 8 loss

Conklin caught six of 10 targets for 79 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots.

Conklin scored from eight yards out in the second quarter to put the Jets up 10-3, but New York failed to add any more points until Conklin's nine-yard touchdown late in the fourth. These were the first two touchdowns since the season opener for the tight end, who led the Jets in targets and has been targeted at least seven times in four of eight games. A pass-heavy game script is likely in Week 9 against the Bills, which should lead to another high-volume game for Conklin.

  • Mike Gesicki TE | CIN

Dolphins' Mike Gesicki: Finds end zone in win

Gesicki brought in three of four targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-27 win over the Lions on Sunday.

Gesicki checked in third in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, and he brought in his fourth touchdown grab of the season on an 11-yard catch late in the third quarter that proved to be the difference in the game for the Dolphins. The veteran tight end's involvement has picked up over the last three games after an uneven start to the campaign, as Gesicki now has a 12-134-2 line in that span. Gesicki's next opportunity to extend that streak comes against the Bears in a Week 9 road matchup.

  • Kyle Pitts TE | ATL

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Leads team in receiving

Pitts caught five of nine targets for 80 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 37-34 overtime win over the Panthers.

Pitts led the Falcons in receptions, targets and receiving yards while submitting his best performance of the season. The second-year tight end's second score of the campaign came on a well-schemed play that left Pitts wide open for a two-yard score. However, he also made plenty of big plays through the air as well, catching passes of 26 and 33 yards. Given his high ADP, Pitts has certainly been a disappointment, but he's also capable of breaking out of his slump in a big way. Pitts will look to build off his season-high performance against the Chargers in Week 9.

  • Irv Smith TE | HOU

Vikings' Irv Smith: To have MRI on ankle

Coach Kevin O'Connell said Smith sustained an ankle injury during Sunday's 34-26 win versus the Cardinals and will undergo an MRI, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

For the third game in a row, Smith hauled in exactly four passes en route to 28 yards, placing him fourth on the Vikings in terms of yardage Week 8. Having said that, he emerged from the contest with a health concern, with the upcoming evaluation potentially providing some clarity as to the extent of the injury.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Back in Sunday's game

Higbee (neck) returned to Sunday's game against the 49ers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

At the end of a 10-yard catch on the Rams' second possession of the contest, Higbee appeared to be shaken up and was evaluated on the sideline before going to the locker room, where he was diagnosed with a neck injury. However, he was able to rejoin his teammates on the next drive, so he'll look to build upon his sparse receiving line for the final two-plus quarters.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Exits Sunday's game

Higbee was forced out of Sunday's game against the 49ers with a neck injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Before exiting the contest, Higbee caught one of his two targets for 10 yards. Next up for the Rams' tight end reps in his absence is Brycen Hopkins.

  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Raiders' Foster Moreau: Makes six grabs

Moreau caught six of nine targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Saints.

Moreau started with Darren Waller (hamstring) sidelined. Although his yardage wasn't anything special, Moreau led the Raiders in targets and ranked second in receptions. A capable fill-in player, Moreau's stock in Week 9's matchup versus the Jaguars will depend on whether Waller can return or not.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Effective on ground

Hill rushed 10 times for 61 yards and caught one of two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Raiders. He also completed his only passing attempt for two yards.

Hill filled his patented jack-of-all-trades role, gaining yards as a runner, receiver and passer. With the Saints winning comfortably, Hill garnered a season high in rushing attempts despite starting tailback Alvin Kamara scoring three times overall. With a difficult Monday night matchup versus the Ravens looming in Week 9, Hill's versatility could help the Saints move the ball.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Jaguars' Evan Engram: Tallies first touchdown

Engram recorded four receptions on six targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos.

Engram led the Jaguars in receptions and yards, highlighted by a 22-yard touchdown to open the scoring in the first quarter. It was his first time in the end zone and his fourth reception of 20 or more yards for the season. Engram has quietly emerged as a consistent producer, as he's tallied at least four receptions in four consecutive games and has also topped 50 receiving yards three times in that span.
