  • Daniel Helm TE | DET

Daniel Helm: Signed to Raiders' practice squad

Helm was signed to the Raiders' practice squad Tuesday.

The tight end was cut by the team Saturday and quickly returned to the Raiders' practice unit Tuesday. Helm appeared in nine games this season with Las Vegas, operating mostly as a special-teams option.

  • Jaguars' Jacob Hollister: Three catches in finale

Hollister caught all three of his targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 26-11 win over the Colts.

Hollister was Jacksonville's only tight end to be targeted Week 18, and he also led the position group with 45 offensive snaps. The Jags' tight ends didn't produce much after Dan Arnold (knee) was lost for the season, and Hollister was no exception with nine receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown in seven games. The 28-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent and figures to be fighting for a depth role in training camp wherever he ends up in 2022.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Raiders' Darren Waller: Limited at walkthrough

Waller (knee) was limited at Tuesday's walkthrough, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.

Waller made his long-awaited return from a five-game absence this past Sunday against the Chargers, and while he approached his typical offensive snap share (78 percent) he hauled in just two of nine targets for 22 yards. The tight end may need more on-field reps to put his IT band strain further in the rearview mirror, but he'll kick off prep for Saturday's wild-card game in Cincinnati with a cap on his reps, as he did all of last week. Thursday's injury report may clear up Waller's status entirely for the Las Vegas' postseason opener.

  • Nick Eubanks TE | IND

Nick Eubanks: Let go by Detroit

The Lions cut Eubanks from their practice squad Tuesday.

Eubanks spent time with the Eagles and Lions as part of their practice squads in 2021, but he didn't make any regular-season appearances. He'll now attempt to secure a roster spot elsewhere ahead of the 2022 campaign.

  • Mo Alie-Cox TE | IND

Colts' Mo Alie-Cox: Two receptions in season finale

Alie-Cox had two receptions for 27 yards on three targets in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville.

Alie-Cox had 24 receptions for 316 yards and four touchdowns on 45 targets while playing all 17 games this season. It looked like he was going to become a larger factor in the offense, but he had just four receptions in a seven-game stretch in the middle of the year. He's set to become a free agent and could have a significant role in 2022 if re-signed, as Jack Doyle is contemplating retirement.

  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Raiders' Foster Moreau: Posts 50 receiving yards Sunday

Moreau caught two passes on as many targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 35-32 overtime win over the Chargers.

Despite fellow tight end Darren Waller's return from a five-game absence, Moreau managed to record his longest reception of the season with a 44-yard pickup on the Raiders' opening drive. He finishes the regular season with 30 catches for 373 yards and three touchdowns on 44 targets in 17 contests. The LSU product, who enters the final year of his rookie contract in 2022, will look to make an impact behind Waller in a wild-card matchup against the Bengals on Saturday.

  • Mike Gesicki TE | CIN

Dolphins' Mike Gesicki: Career season ends on quiet note

Gesicki secured two of three targets for 22 yards during the Dolphins' 33-24 win over the Patriots in their season finale.

Gesicki put together a career year in 2021, finishing the campaign with 73 catches on 112 targets for 780 yards and two touchdowns in 17 appearances. This offseason the Dolphins will need to make a decision about Gesicki's future with the team, as he is currently set for free agency. The team could opt to franchise tag the tight end, either to keep him in the fold or trade him and get some return on investment. After operating as essentially the team's No. 2 receiving option for most of 2021, Gesicki's value to the Dolphins' offense is clear. However, with coaching changes already having been made, it's unclear how much importance Miami will place on positional continuity this offseason.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Modest season in Year 5

Engram caught 46 of 73 targets for 408 yards and three TDs in 2021.

The 23rd overall pick in 2017, Engram has been a disappointment in New York, though his modest production in 2021 can hardly be blamed on him. He'll be a free agent after the season, and he's likely to ply his wares elsewhere in 2022. There's still a ton of physical talent here (4.42 40), but Engram's focus has been inconsistent, and he's not much of a blocker.

  • Noah Togiai TE | PHI

    Noah Togiai: Rejoins practice squad

Togiai reverted to Philadelphia's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Togiai finished Sunday's matchup against Dallas with two tackles, logging 24 offensive snaps and 16 on special teams. The Oregon State product has yet to record his first NFL catch through his first two seasons, appearing in five total games.

  • David Wells TE | TB

David Wells: Back to practice squad

Wells reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Wells was elevated for Arizona's final two games to provide depth at tight end with Demetrius Harris (shoulder) sidelined. He did not record a stat in either game and was on the field for only 11 offensive snaps combined between the pair of contests. .
