Hunter Henry TE | NE
Chargers' Hunter Henry: Logs limited practice session
Henry was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Henry played 86 percent of the Chargers' offensive snaps in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to Kansas City, finishing with six receptions for 83 yards. The tight end's status will be monitored as the week rolls along, but so far there's nothing to suggest that he won't be available this weekend, when he'll be catching passes for rookie quarterback Justin Herbert in the Chargers' matchup with the Panthers.

Tyler Davis TE | NE
Jaguars' Tyler Davis: Full speed ahead
Davis (knee) practiced fully Wednesday and will be available for Thursday's game versus the Dolphins.
The rookie sixth-rounder could make his NFL debut Thursday night. He'll likely operate mostly on special teams since he's expected to be the No. 3 TE behind Tyler Eifert and James O'Shaugnessy.

Josiah Deguara TE | SF
Packers' Josiah Deguara: Limited in Wednesday's session
Deguara (shin/ankle) was limited during Wednesday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Ahead of Week 2, Deguara was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice but sat out Thursday and Friday, ultimately ending up inactive against the Lions. Thursday's practice report should give a better indication of his status for Sunday's matchup versus the Saints.

Darren Waller TE | MIA
Raiders' Darren Waller: Listed as non-participant Wednesday
Waller was listed as a non-participant Wednesday on the Raiders' estimated practice report with a knee injury.
Running back Josh Jacobs (hip) was also limited, after both he and Waller took on heavy volume in Monday's win over the Saints. Waller and Jacobs could be back at practice Thursday, as the Raiders prepare for a road game against the Patriots this weekend. Waller caught 12 of his 16 targets for 103 yards and a score Week 2 while logging 74 of 80 offensive snaps.

Dalton Keene TE | HOU
Patriots' Dalton Keene: Overcomes neck injury
Keene (neck) is not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Keene missed the first two games of the season due to a lingering neck injury, but it now looks as though he's back to full health. If the rookie tight end manages to avoid any setbacks and make his debut versus the Raiders on Sunday, he'll mix into a tight end rotation led by Ryan Izzo and that also includes fellow rookie Devin Asiasi.

Jonnu Smith TE | PIT
Titans' Jonnu Smith: Sits out practice Wednesday
Smith didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
Smith logged 54 of the Titans' 62 offensive snaps in the team's Week 2 win over the Jaguars, finishing with four receptions for 84 yards and two scores on five targets. He wasn't reported to have suffered an injury during the game, so it's possible his practice reps are simply being managed to start the week. Smith's return to the field Thursday -- in any capacity -- would support that notion and put him on track to serve as Tennessee's top tight end Sunday against the Vikings.
-
Dawson Knox TE | BUF
Bills' Dawson Knox: Sits out Wednesday
Knox (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday.
Knox starts his week off as a spectator after suffering a concussion in last week's win over the Dolphins. The tight end will need to clear the NFL's concussion protocol in order to play in Sunday's game against the Rams. Knox's potential absence would leave the Bills with Tyler Kroft and Reggie Gilliam at the position Week 3.

C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI
Bengals' C.J. Uzomah: Undergoes surgery
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday that Uzomah underwent surgery to address his season-ending Achilles injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Uzomah tore his right Achilles' tendon in the Week 2 loss to the Browns, spoiling what had been a solid outing up to that point (four catches for 42 yards and a touchdown). With Uzomah now turning his focus to rehabbing his leg and getting healthy for 2020, the Bengals will rely on Drew Sample to step in as their new starting tight end. Cethan Carter and Mason Schreck will handle depth roles behind Sample.
-
George Kittle TE | SF
49ers' George Kittle: Will be limited Wednesday
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle (knee) will be a limited practice participant Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
The activity will mark Kittle's first since sustaining a sprained MCL and bone bruise in his left knee Week 1 against the Cardinals. While he sat out this past Sunday's road win versus the Jets, there was an expectation that he would return Week 3, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Kittle will set himself up to do just that with some activity Wednesday, with two more chances to increase his activity level as the week goes on.

Tanner Hudson TE | CIN
Buccaneers' Tanner Hudson: Earns promotion from practice squad
The Buccaneers promoted Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Hudson's spot on the active roster was opened by the Buccaneers waiving Mazzi Wilkins on Monday. The Southern Arkansas product actually played three special-teams snaps during Sunday's win over the Panthers, by merit of the NFL's new practice squad "elevation" rule. He'll now be fully available as a depth option against the Broncos in Week 3.
