Hodges was cut by the Jets on Saturday.

The move was made in order to free up a roster spot for center Ryan Kalil. It's possible Hodges could catch on with another team during the preseason, but he'd need to make a significant impression on the coaching staff to avoid falling on the practice squad for a third consecutive season.

Allen (undisclosed) could miss the start of the regular season, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

This comes as a bit of a surprise, as Allen was activated off the PUP list earlier in the week. The veteran tight end hopes to be ready for the start of the regular season, but without any sort of information regarding the injury or its severity, it's difficult to project his availability one way or another. The 29-year-old is likely locked in as the premier run-blocking tight end regardless of his status throughout the preseason, but Mike Gesicki figures to benefit from the increase in snaps, as the second-year tight end was already considered the primary pass catcher at the position.

Waller left Saturday's practice with a shoulder injury, Michael Gelhken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Waller evidently suffered an AC joint sprain, but it's not expected to keep the converted wide receiver off the field for very long. The 26-year-old has made a positive impression on the coaching staff during the early portions of training camp, acting as the starting tight end ahead of Luke Willson and Derek Carrier.

Conque (undisclosed) agreed to a deal with the Colts on Saturday, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

Conque was waived/injured by the Jaguars on June 1,and subsequently reached an injury settlement with the team. This signing indicates he has a clear bill of health, and will now look to make an impression at Indy's camp. The 25-year-old has yet to see time on an NFL team's roster during the regular season, and still figures to have his work cut out for him to do so with the Colts.

Helm signed with the 49ers on Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Helm will have his work cut out for him in order to earn a spot on the 49ers' final roster. He will be competing against Levine Toilolo, Kaden Smith, Ross Dwelley and Tyree Mayfield for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart.

Oliver suffered a "significant" hamstring injury at practice Thursday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Coach Doug Marrone was unable to offer a recovery timetable for Oliver, but the coach classifying the injury as "significant" indicates Oliver could be facing a multi-week absence, at least. The rookie third-round pick entered training camp looking to supplant free-agent acquisition Geoff Swaim from the starting role, but that will be a difficult proposition if he ends up sidelined for a chunk of the preseason.

Fant secured one of three targets for seven yards in the Broncos' 14-10 preseason win over the Falcons on Thursday.

The first-round pick didn't have much of a chance to make an impact, given that the Broncos' quarterback play was spotty. Fant's athleticism is off the charts, so he's expected to see a fair share of opportunities downfield in the coming season while primarily sharing tight-end duties with Jeff Heuerman. Fant will look to enjoy a bigger role in the passing game during next Thursday's preseason tilt against the Seahawks.

Wolf was waived by the Panthers on Thursday, Max Henson of the team's official website reports.

An undrafted free agent in 2018, Wolf originally signed with the Titans before landing on the Packers' practice squad. He subsequently suffered an undisclosed injury and was placed on the IR. He joined the Panthers in May, but they have seen enough and will opt to use their roster spot on another player.

Butler left Thursday's practice early due to a hip injury, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Butler is competing for a depth spot on Oakland's roster and will work to return to full health as soon as possible. Foster Moreau and Derek Carrier could see increased reps as long as Butler remains sidelined.

Tonyan is expected to see increased playing time during the 2019 season, Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Tonyan "gets better each and every day - not only in the pass game, but in the run game," and called him "a valuable piece." Tonyan played only 67 offensive snaps as a rookie in 2018, finishing the season with four catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. Most of those yards came due to a 54-yard touchdown versus the Seahawks in Week 11. Jimmy Graham remains the No. 1 option in Green Bay's tight end room, leaving Tonyan to compete with Marcedes Lewis and rookie Jace Sternberger for reserve snaps.
