  • Eric Tomlinson TE | LAC

Jets' Eric Tomlinson: Lands on IR

Tomlinson (undisclosed) has been placed on IR.

In a corresponding move, the Jets signed fellow tight end Clive Walford to serve as a depth option in Week 17. Tomlinson, thus finishes the 2018 season with eight catches (on 14 targets) for 72 yards in 15 games working behind Chris Herndon.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Packers' Jimmy Graham: Returns to practice

Graham (thumb/knee) is participating in Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Graham's presence at practice implies that his absence from the first session of the week Wednesday was likely a result of routine maintenance for his lingering knee issue and fractured left thumb. Neither injury has prevented Graham from playing this season, and the limited snap counts initially caused by the broken thumb are no longer a concern either. That said, Graham hasn't been the fantasy asset of old in first season in Green Bay and has seen his value depreciate in the second half of the campaign. He's reached 50 receiving yards on just two occasions since Week 9 and has scored only once over that span.

  • Cardinals' Ricky Seals-Jones: Sidelined at Wednesday's practice

Seals-Jones didn't practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.

It's been a tough go for Seals-Jones over the last week. After enduring a bout with food poisoning, he gained clearance to play in Sunday's loss to the Rams, only to last five offensive snaps before a stinger ended his day. Seals-Jones has a pair of practices remaining to prove his health, but an absence in the season finale against Seattle would allow Jermaine Gresham and John Phillips to pick up snaps at tight end.

  • Logan Paulsen TE | HOU

Falcons' Logan Paulsen: Nursing knee issue, limited Wednesday

Paulsen (knee) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Paulsen's status remains largely up in the air at the moment, but perhaps more clarity will surface as Sunday inches closer. Look for Eric Saubert to slide into the No. 2 tight end spot if Paulsen can't give it a go.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Vannett: Scores in win

Vannett caught both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-31 victory over the Chiefs.

Vannett gave the Seahawks the lead shortly before halftime, taking a Russell Wilson dump-off pass for the one-yard touchdown. It snapped a five-game scoreless streak for Vannett, who has been slightly less productive than veteran Ed Dickson over the past six weeks. During that span, Vannett has accounted for 74 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions, while Dickson has logged 10 catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Ryan Hewitt TE | TEN

Colts' Ryan Hewitt: Absent from Wednesday practice

Hewitt (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Andrew Walker of the team's official site reports.

Hewitt's status for Sunday's pivotal winner-take-all tilt with Tennessee seems largely up in the air at this point. Should he return to practice later this week, that would be a good sign moving forward. For now, it's closer to 50-50 odds. The Colts are dealing with injuries to Eric Ebron (concussion) and Jack Doyle (torso), so Hewitt's availability has taken on a larger significance than usual circumstances would dictate.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Packers' Jimmy Graham: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Graham (thumb/knee) was held out of practice Wednesday, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

This is status quo for Graham, who has managed a knee issue all season and a broken left thumb since mid-November. Since suffering the latter injury, he's had issues with drops and deflected passes, gathering in 18 of his 28 targets for 163 yards and no touchdowns over the last five games. Considering the production, Graham isn't a particularly inspiring fantasy option in Week 17 against the Lions.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Snags three passes in win

Goedert caught all three of his targets for 30 yards during Sunday's 32-30 win over Houston.

The rookie has now caught multiple passes in three consecutive games for just the second time this season. With the Eagles' postseason lives on the line Week 17 against the Redskins, Goedert gets a tough draw versus a pass defense that ranks in the top half of the league. Washington previously held Goedert without a reception in the Redskins' meeting with the Eagles back in Week 13.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Starts another week limited

Njoku (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Njoku has been playing through the same knee injury for weeks, typically upgrading to full participation Thursdays or Fridays. A Week 17 matchup in Baltimore won't be easy for Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense, but the Ravens haven't done a great job against tight ends, allowing 60 yards per game and 8.3 yards per target. By comparison, they've limited wide receivers to 6.4 YPT and running backs to 4.2.

  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Ravens' Hayden Hurst: Snags pass in win

Hurst hauled in one of his two targets for an 18-yard reception during Saturday's 22-10 win over the Chargers.

The rookie first-round pick has gotten lost at times in a crowded tight-end group, but he's now managed a reception in back-to-back games for just the second time this season. That's not exactly a significant accomplishment, however, making Hurst a rather unappealing fantasy entity at this stage of his career. He's unlikely to deliver a useful performance in the regular-season finale against the Browns while splitting snaps with the likes of Mark Andrews, Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams.
