  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Rams' Gerald Everett: Held to three yards

Everett caught one of two targets for three yards during Sunday's 35-23 win over the Chargers.

Everett has yet to live up to his 2017 second-round-pick billing, averaging less than a reception per game. The Rams -- chock full of weapons -- haven't had much use for their tight ends this season with targets needed for Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. Everett's not worth considering, particularly against a tough Minnesota defense Thursday.

  • Cardinals' Ricky Seals-Jones: Scores but doesn't do much more

Seals-Jones caught one of three targets for a 35-yard touchdown during Sunday's 16-14 loss to Chicago.

Seals-Jones slipped behind the defense and was wide-open for Sam Bradford touchdown pass to cap Arizona's opening drive. After a strong first half, the Cardinals' luck ran out, Bradford committed three turnovers and the Josh Rosen era began. Rosen did not target Seals-Jones during his two drives, but there are few better friends for a young quarterback than a big, athletic tight end. Expect Rosen to look to Seals-Jones as a security blanket while being harassed by Seattle's swarming defense on Sunday.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Contributes as runner and returner

Hill gained 35 yards on three carries in Sunday's win against the Falcons. He also returned three kickoffs for 64 yards.

For those unfamiliar with Hill, the BYU product is the Saints' third-string quarterback. An excellent athlete, Hill has also played on the special-teams coverage unit and returned kickoffs. In Atlanta, however, Hill added yet another dimension to his game. While Hill had taken snaps at quarterback in a special read-option package in both Weeks 1 and 2, he had simply handed the ball off on such occasions. Yet in Week 3, Hill ran the ball three times, including a 35-yard scamper in the fourth quarter. While Teddy Bridgewater remains the backup quarterback and the player most likely to see true quarterback snaps should anything happen to Drew Brees, it would not be surprising for Hill to continue to see playing time in certain packages. For fantasy owners in two-quarterback leagues in need of a starting option in a bye-week pinch, Hill has the potential to not just help those owners avoid taking a zero in their lineup, but he may actually be able to provide meaningful contributions, particularly in leagues that award points for return yardage.

  • Darell Daniels: Waived by Seahawks

Daniels was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Daniels was traded to Seattle from the Colts prior to the season commencing. However, he was only available as a depth tight end and never saw the field. He could potentially revert to the Seahawks' practice squad assuming he clears waivers.

  • Thomas Duarte TE | CAR

Thomas Duarte: Let go by Chargers

Duarte was released from the Chargers' practice squad Tuesday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

The tight end inked a deal with the Chargers' practice squad in early September after spending the 2017 season with the Dolphins. Duarte was a seventh-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and spent some time on Miami's 53-man roster a year ago.

  • Jesse James TE | LV

Steelers' Jesse James: One catch in win

James caught his lone target for seven yards in Monday's 30-27 win over the Buccaneers.

Its been feast or famine for James in the early going this season, and fantasy owners who inserted him in their lineup had to be disappointed following his 5-138-1 stat line in Week 2. Further frustrating fantasy owners, they had to watch as Vance McDonald grabbed four passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. It remains to be seen how Pittsburgh intends to use these two talented tight ends moving forward, making it difficult to start either unless one emerges.

  • Giants' Garrett Dickerson: Promoted to active roster

Dickerson was signed to the Giants' active roster Tuesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Dickerson's spot on the 53-man roster was made available due to Evan Engram (knee) being sidelined for the foreseeable future. The undrafted rookie will serve as a depth tight end behind Rhett Ellison and Scott Simonson.

  • Mike Gesicki TE | CIN

Dolphins' Mike Gesicki: Catches three passes

Gesicki hauled in all three targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Raiders.

Gesicki's longest play was a 19-yard reception from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The rookie benefited from increased looks after A.J. Derby (foot) exited the game and showed chemistry with Tannehill on limited targets. If Derby remains sidelined for a significant amount of time, expect Gesicki's role in the offense to increase.

  • Logan Paulsen TE | HOU

Falcons' Logan Paulsen: Records one catch in loss

Paulsen hauled in his only target, picking up 11 yards during a 43-37 loss to New Orleans on Sunday.

Paulsen's 11-yard reception in Sunday's game was his longest gain since he was a member of the Washington Redskins in 2014. Despite going up against a Bengals' defense in Week 4 that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends in standard scoring, Paulsen is a long shot to get into the end zone with zero snaps in the red zone through three games.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Bengals' C.J. Uzomah: Finds end zone Sunday

Uzomah caught both of his targets for 19 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-21 loss to the Panthers.

Not only did Uzomah find the end zone, he also saw significantly more snaps than second-string tight end Tyler Kroft. Uzomah has been more involved in the passing game than his counterpart, while still ceding targets and snaps to Tyler Eifert. The 25-year-old out of Auburn has six catches for 68 yards and a score through three games.
