  • Je'Ron Hamm TE | IND

    Je'Ron Hamm: Waived by Seahawks

Hamm was waived by the Seahawks on Sunday Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Sunday marks the second time in the last three weeks that the Seahawks have waived Hamm. His second stint with the team lasted only six days. He will hope to find his way onto another roster before training camp concludes.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Packers' Jimmy Graham: Returns to drills

Graham (knee) returned to practice Sunday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Graham has been tending to a knee injury for a brief spell, missing out on his first chance to make an in-game impact as a Packer. His next chance to do so arrives Thursday against the Steelers, assuming he's cleared to play.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Avoids major injury

Goedert is being held out of Sunday's practice with a seemingly minor injury to his right arm, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

There was speculation about a serious injury when Goedert left Saturday's practice, but it now seems he's merely day-to-day. While he didn't participate Sunday, the rookie second-round pick came out on the field to watch practice and was joking around with his teammates. Goedert caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason opener against Pittsburgh, making a strong case that he's ready for the No. 2 tight end job. It's an important role in the Philadelphia offense, but not one that's likely to allow for a fantasy impact while Zach Ertz is healthy.

  • Troy Fumagalli TE | MIN

Broncos' Troy Fumagalli: Unlikely to play Saturday

Fumagalli (sports hernia) isn't expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Vikings, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.

Fumagalli, who missed practice time this week, is having trouble bouncing back from the sports hernia surgery that he underwent this offseason. The rookie's next chance to make his professional debut will come Aug. 18 against the Bears. With No. 1 tight end Jeff Heuerman (knee) also sidelined Saturday, Jake Butt and Austin Traylor will likely get the bulk of the work with the first-team offense.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Rams' Gerald Everett: No practice Saturday

Everett (shoulder) is not practicing Saturday, Rich Hammond of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Everett, who's been diagnosed with a sprained shoulder, was seen Saturday with a sling supporting his left arm, making it seem as if the he isn't particularly close to practicing at this juncture. With Everett sidelined, Tyler Higbee will continue to serve as the Rams' unquestioned No. 1 tight end until further notice.

  • Darren Waller TE | CAR

Ravens' Darren Waller: Officially back at practice

    Waller participated in Saturday's practice.

Waller was reinstated by the league Tuesday following his one-year suspension, and with his return to practice Saturday, he is officially back in action. He will need a strong showing during training camp to make the Ravens' final roster this year.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Leaves practice with trainers

Goedert exited to the locker room with trainers during Saturday's practice session, Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com reports.

Goedert didn't make an immediate or eventual return to practice following the issue, which could have major implications depending on the reasoning behind his departure. The second-round pick is expected to fill the role as the second-string tight end behind Zach Ertz after the team released Brent Celek, as he performed well in his first preseason action with four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.

  • Eric Saubert TE | SEA

Falcons' Eric Saubert: Leads Falcons tight ends in receiving

Saubert paced Atlanta tight ends with two catches for 15 receiving yards in a 17-0 defeat to the Jets on Friday.

Though no Falcons tight end stood out in what proved to be a disastrous first showing for the offense as a whole -- there was a combined four receptions for 29 yards between tight ends Saubert, Austin Hooper and Logan Paulsen -- the second-year man from Drake was the best of the bunch. Saubert hauled in both of his targets on the night, including a 10-yard reception from Matt Schaub that provided Atlanta with its only first down of the first half. He also provided some value on special teams, registering a tackle on former Falcon Andre Roberts during a punt return in the first quarter.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Will miss rest of preseason

Kittle won't suit up for any more preseason games after separating his shoulder, but 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan expects the tight end to be ready for Week 1, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Although there's no structural damage to Kittle's shoulder, he'll need rest to ensure it heals correctly. Kittle had 43 receptions for 515 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie campaign, with his 6-foot-4, 250-pound frame helping him earn 16 red-zone target, including six from Jimmy Garoppolo. The Niners will turn to Garrett Celek as their top tight end for the rest of August.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Vannett: Snags touchdown in preseason game

Vannett brought in two of three targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Colts.

Vannett lined up as the Seahawks' top tight end with Ed Dickson (groin) sitting out. Jimmy Graham is in Green Bay now, so the Seahawks will need another pass-catching tight end to fill the void of his 27 red-zone targets, and Vannett will battle Dickson for some of those chances.
