  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Picks up hamstring injury

Ertz was limited at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury.

Ertz was absent from the Eagles' first Week 9 injury report, so his addition Thursday could indicate a number of things. The most frightening would be a practice-related injury, but the team may also be giving him some rest due to the wear and tear that accompanies a typical NFL campaign. His listing Friday will forecast whether there's a chance he's among the Eagles' inactives Sunday against the Broncos.

  • Vince Mayle TE | BAL

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Not taking contact Thursday

Mayle (concussion) was donning a non-contact jersey for Thursday's practice, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The Ravens listed Mayle as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, and he'll likely continue to face restrictions until he's cleared for contact. Once that happens, Mayle would still have to pass a concussion test conducted by independent neurologist before receiving the green light to play in games. Even at full strength, Mayle is just a depth tight end who sees most of his action on special teams.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Dealing with ankle injury again

Graham didn't participate in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Graham landed on the injury report in Weeks 3 through 5 with a similar issue, but hauling in 17 of 25 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown during that stretch got him back on track after a slow start to the season. Following a Week 6 bye, he's been a touchdown machine, reaching the end zone three times on just 11 targets. While his activity level will be monitored closely as the weekend approaches, Graham has an appetizing matchup Sunday against a Redskins defense that has surrendered 10.1 yards per target and three touchdowns to tight ends through seven games.

  • Ryan Hewitt TE | TEN

Bengals' Ryan Hewitt: Practices at full speed

Hewitt (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday.

Hewitt's full participation likely puts him on track to suit up Sunday against the Jaguars. Hewitt hasn't played since Week 4 against the Browns, when he hauled in one reception for 16 yards. That was his only target of the season, so don't expect him to get many more reps in the passing game the rest of the way.

  • A.J. Derby TE | MIA

Broncos' A.J. Derby: Scores in garbage time

Derby caught two of four targets for 21 yard and a touchdown in Monday's 29-19 loss in Kansas City.

Derby, much like Denver's entire offense, didn't catch fire until late. Both of Derby's receptions came during Denver's final two drives, including an 11-yard back-shoulder touchdown strike in the game's closing minutes. There is little to be excited about in Denver at the moment, but change appears to be on the way in the form of either Brock Osweiler or Paxton Lynch. Any improvement should benefit Derby, who led Denver's tight ends with 38 offensive snaps on Monday, more than other tight ends given his role as the group's primary pass-catcher.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Propels team to victory

Kelce caught seven of 10 targets for 133 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 29-19 win over the Broncos.

Kelce scored Kansas City's lone offensive touchdown with a 29-yard catch during the first quarter. In doing so, he not only found pay dirt for the second straight game -- and fourth time through eight appearances this season -- but the play also helped him amass a season high in receiving yards. On the back of another strong showing, Kelce will look to keep his momentum going Week 9 versus the Cowboys.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Plays just 24 snaps Sunday

Njoku caught two of seven passes for 19 yards during Sunday's 33-16 loss to the Vikings

The rookie tight end was on the field for just 24 of Cleveland's 59 offensive snaps, but despite the lack of playing time, Njoku still came away with a team-high seven targets. The fact he finished with just two receptions left a lot to be desired, though at least the opportunities were there. The 21-year-old has 17 targets over his last three contests and will look to build on that after the upcoming bye week.

  • Eric Tomlinson TE | LAC

Jets' Eric Tomlinson: Scores in loss to Falcons

Tomlinson scored a 20-yard touchdown on his lone target during Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Falcons.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins has dominated the tight end targets this season, and while Tomlinson was able to find the end zone Sunday, the former still finished with five catches on five targets for 28 yards. Used more for blocking than pass catching, Tomlinson's fantasy value remains low despite Sunday's score.

  • Patriots' Jacob Hollister: Catches one pass in Week 8

Hollister was on the field for four of a possible 86 snaps on offense in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Chargers.

Hollister hauled in his only target Sunday for 13 yards, upping his season-long total to three catches for 37 yards. He remains off the fantasy radar in his role as the Patriots' third-string tight end behind Rob Gronkowski and Dwayne Allen.

  • Dwayne Allen TE | NE

Patriots' Dwayne Allen: Sees 20 snaps in Week 8

Allen was on the field for 20 of a possible 86 snaps on offense in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Chargers.

Another week has passed without a catch for Allen. Though he could conceivably be game-planned in down the road, he's not a fantasy lineup option as long as Rob Gronkowski (86 snaps) remains healthy.
