  • Jets' Braedon Bowman: Placed on IR

Bowman (knee) has been placed on injured reserve, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Bowman has been dealing with a knee injury since the lead-up to Week 5. With Bowman likely done for the year, Kellen Davis and Brandon Bostick are the Jets' remaining current options at tight end with Austin Seferian-Jenkins out due to an injury.

  • Gerald Christian: Waived by Bills

Christian was released by the Bills on Friday.

Christian was released in order to make room for tight end Manasseh Garner to be promoted to the roster. The Louisville product was signed by the Bills on Oct 4, and had played in just one game for the team.

  • Bills' Manasseh Garner: Promoted from practice squad

Garner was called up from the Bills' practice squad Friday.

The Bills subsequently released tight end Gerald Christian in order to make room for Garner. The 24-year-old will be making his NFL debut in Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins, if he's on the active list.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Returns to practice and ready to play

Head coach Pete Carroll said Graham (hip/knee) looked great at Friday's practice and is ready for Sunday's game in Arizona, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Graham has been present on the injury report all season due to his surgically repaired knee, but there was some concern when he missed Thursday's practice while listed with a new hip injury. Head coach Pete Carroll said the tight end was merely rested due to some residual soreness from last week's game, suggesting Graham should be fine to handle his usual workload in Sunday's difficult matchup against Arizona. If there was any doubt remaining, Graham erased it when he returned to practice as a full participant Friday, leaving him without any designation on the final injury report, according to John Boyle of the team's official website. He's caught exactly six passes on either eight or nine targets in each of the last three games, notably playing a season-high 63 snaps (96 percent) in last week's win over the Falcons. With No. 2 TE Luke Willson (knee) out for the foreseeable future, Graham may again be asked to play upward of 90 percent of the snaps.

  • MarQueis Gray TE | MIA

Dolphins' MarQueis Gray: To start in midst of injuries

Gray is slated to start at tight end Sunday against the Bills, ESPN's James Walker reports.

Gray's promotion to Miami's starting gig comes in the wake of Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims both being ruled out with concussions ahead of Sunday's contest. While Gray boasts merely 15 receptions through four seasons, he's coming off a career-high 81 receiving yards on his three catches versus the Steelers last Sunday. He'll look to build on that momentum with another strong showing in an expanded Week 7 role.

  • Jets' Braedon Bowman: Back on the sidelines

Bowman (knee) will not play Sunday against the Ravens, Seth Walder of the New York Daily News reports.

Bowman returned from a one-week absence Monday night against the Cardinals, but appears to have suffered a setback during Wednesday's practice. Only Kellen Davis and Brandon Bostick will be available at tight end for the Jets.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

Vikings' MyCole Pruitt: Ruled out for Sunday

Pruitt (knee) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Pruitt hasn't practiced since suffering a knee injury in Week 5, so he'll remain sidelined for Sunday's game in Philadelphia. That absence will leave the Vikings with one less tight end option behind Kyle Rudolph and Rhett Ellison.

  • Dwayne Allen TE | NE

Colts' Dwayne Allen: Officially ruled out for Week 7

Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Tennessee, Fox59's Mike Chappell reports.

This is a mere formality, as Allen hasn't practiced since suffering the injury and is considered week-to-week. His absence could stretch beyond Sunday, potentially giving Jack Doyle an extended audition as the top tight end.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Doesn't practice Thursday

Graham (knee/hip) didn't take the practice field Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

In conjunction with the downgrade from all drills Wednesday to none Thursday, Graham has picked up a hip injury for his troubles. The absence may merely be a precaution in order to preserve the veteran tight end's health, but the status of the Seahawks' second-leading receiver will be monitored closely as the weekend draws closer.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

    Vikings' MyCole Pruitt: Non-participant Wednesday

Pruitt (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.

Pruitt suffered the knee injury in Week 5 prior to the Vikings' bye week. His absence from practice does not bode well for his status heading into Week 7, but his status will have to be monitored throughout the week.
