  • Braedon Bowman: Waived by Jets

Bowman was waived by the Jets on Tuesday.

Bowman was acquired a little over a week ago, but will once again head into the open market. The move came as Sheldon Richardson returned from his one-game suspension this week, which meant one cut was needed to return the roster to 53 players. Bowman was inactive for Week 1, but will hope to find his way onto a team's roster or practice squad.

  • Garrett Graham TE | DEN

Garrett Graham: Released by the Broncos

Graham (shoulder) was released by the Broncos on Tuesday, Adam Caplan of ESPN.com reports.

Graham was placed on IR at the end of the preseason due to a shoulder injury, and the Broncos finally decided to cut ties with the tight end. He'll look to return to full strength in the hopes that he can return to an NFL roster next season.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: One catch in NFL debut

Higbee caught one pass (on four targets) for two yards in Monday night's loss to the 49ers.

Higbee's production is hardly mentionable, but it's worth noting that his four targets exceeded fellow tight end Lance Kendricks' three. A far more athletic player than Kendricks, Higbee could develop into a good target down the seam as a rookie, but judging by his performance both Monday and during the preseason, he'll need to improve his catch efficiency before expectations can get off the ground.

  • Jesse James TE | LV

Steelers' Jesse James: Five grabs against Redskins

James caught five passes (on seven yards) for 31 yards in Monday's win over the Redskins.

James figures to be the Steelers' starting tight end while Ladarius Green (ankle) misses at least the first six weeks of the season and did a good job of finding room underneath Monday. At six-foot-seven, 261 pounds, James is a hulking target for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but given the number of more dynamic targets in Pittsburgh's offense, he's most likely to be subject to spare looks intended to move the sticks. That proved true Monday, but on the whole, James' size gives him good upside as a red zone target as the season unfolds.

  • Jim Dray TE | ARI

Bills' Jim Dray: Misses practice Monday

Dray, who re-injured his ankle during Sunday's loss at Baltimore, would not have practiced Monday had the team done more than a walkthrough, BuffaloBills.com reports.

Dray drew the start for the Bills on Sunday, but failed to make a reception during the contest. Buffalo plays Thursday against the Jets, so Dray's recovery time will be limited.

  • Hunter Henry TE | NE

Chargers' Hunter Henry: Picks up first career catch

Henry recorded his first career reception in the loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.

Henry saw just two targets in the contest, as the Chargers mainly attacked the Chiefs with their wide receivers, as the combination of Tyrell Williams, Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin recorded a total of 15 receptions. Still, Henry saw a decent amount of time on the field, and could see his snap count rise higher in the coming weeks as the Chargers prepare for life without Allen, who is suspected to have torn his ACL in the loss.

  • Dwayne Allen TE | NE

Colts' Dwayne Allen: Six targets and touchdown in Week 1

Allen had four receptions for 53 yards on six targets, including a 19-yard touchdown, in Sunday's loss to Detroit. He also added a reception for a two-point conversion.

Allen equaled his high for targets in a game from last season as he's a focal point of the offense with Coby Fleener departing in free agency. While Jack Doyle had two touchdown receptions, Allen should get the vast majority of targets and red zone looks in the offense at tight end. Allen played 49 of 70 snaps on offense while Doyle played 39 snaps. With the Colts likely to play from behind or be in shootouts due to a depleted secondary, Allen should continue to get steady targets in the offense.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Week-to-week due to ribs injury

Ertz suffered a rib displacement in the collarbone area during Sunday's game against the Browns and is considered week-to-week going forward.

Ertz caught six passes for 58 yards while ranking second on the Eagles with seven targets in Sunday's win, but now appears likely to miss time due to his ribs injury. After a career-best 75 receptions for 853 yards last season, the timing of Ertz's ailment is hardly ideal, but nonetheless, both the Eagles and his fantasy owners may have to find a replacement for the time being. If Ertz is unavailable, veteran Brent Celek should receive more looks, while fellow tight end Trey Burton is another candidate to see his role expand in that scenario.

  • Austin Hooper TE | ATL

Falcons' Austin Hooper: Catches one pass in loss

Hooper caught his only target for a 14-yard reception in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.

It looks like Jacob Tamme is the tight end to own on the Falcons, as Tamme saw eight targets and turned that into six receptions for 51 yards. Barring an injury to Tamme, it will be difficult for Hooper to warrant roster consideration in many leagues.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Second on team in targets in Week 1 win

Ertz secured six of seven targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 29-10 victory over the Browns.

The fourth-year pro was Carson Wentz's second favorite target on the day, serving as a highly effective option for the rookie signal caller in the short and intermediate passing game. Ertz tallied 75 receptions last season in Chip Kelly's offense and figures to be just as vital a cog in new head coach Doug Pederson's attack in 2016. Considering the fact that an inexperienced Wentz is behind center, Ertz figures to be heavily involved as a security blanket for his quarterback in many games this season.
