Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew, who is contending with a foot injury, is active for Week 2 at Carolina. He was listed as probable on Friday's injury report after practicing in full both Thursday and Friday.

Pettigrew had only one catch for 9 yards Week 1 against the Giants. He is attempting to hold off rookie Eric Ebron as the primary tight end.

Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee (hamstring) and tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee) are active for Week 2 in Washington Sunday, after being listed on the injury report as probable. 

The Texans have listed 10 players as probable Week 2 against the Raiders.

Tight end Garrett Graham WR Andre Johnson, CB Johnathan Joseph, CB A.J. Bouye, OL Tyson Clabo, LB Brian Cushing, RB Arian Foster, DE Tim Jamison, CB Elbert Mack, LB Mike Mohamed, OL Chris Myers, OL Derek Newton, FB Jay Prosch, OL Xaier Su'a-Filo, DE J.J. Watt and DT Louis Nix II are all probable heading into the game.

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was the only player ruled out for Week 2. 

The Seahawks have listed four players on the injury report Week 2 against the Chargers.

Running back Christine Michael, linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis and cornerback Tharold Simon have all been ruled out for the game. Tight end Cooper Helfet is doubtful due to a knee injury.

Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew is probable entering Week 2.

Pettigrew was limited in practice Wednesday due to a foot injury. He practiced in full both Thursday and Friday, and should be able to play Sunday. 

Tight end Clay Harbor (calf), running back Storm Johnson (ankle) and tackle Austin Pasztor (hand) have been ruled out by the Jaguars for the Sunday game in Washington. Cornerback Alan Ball (abdominal) is questionable after sustaining an injury Friday, but he told the team website he expects to play against the Redskins.

Among those injured who are also likely to play are tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee), cornerback Dwayne Gratz (ankle), running back Toby Gerhart (ankle), wide receiver Marqise Lee (hamstring) and defensive lineman Abry Jones (abdominal).

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Thursday tight end Garrett Graham is expected to play Week 2 against the Raiders after sitting out Week 1 due to a back injury.

Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters Thursday rookie tight end Jace Amaro is "going to be a major factor for our football team." Ryan added that it "probably will be very soon," according to Newsday.

Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew was held out of portions of Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury, reports MLive.com.

Cowboys tight end Gavin Escobar was targeted once without a catch Week 1. He played nine offensive snaps. "Obviously, I want to be out on the field more," Escobar told the Dallas Morning News.

Tight end James Hanna played 15 snaps, a disheartening sign for those expecting Escobar to have a big role this season behind starter Jason Witten. Coach Jason Garrett said the team went to three-receiver sets because of the big deficit to the 49ers, and that Escobar will play more as the season progresses.
