Woerner did not play in Friday's 23-20 preseason loss to the Titans.

Woerner has been in street clothes for Atlanta's first two preseason games. That's been the case with most roster locks. Woerner caught a career-high seven passes during his first season in Atlanta last year and will be back to serve in a similar role this year. He's known for his blocking prowess.

Smith caught all five targets for a team-high 46 yards in Saturday's preseason win over Carolina.

Smith wasn't in the starting lineup, and none of his activity came during the first quarter, when Houston's offensive stars were primarily involved. Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover opened the game at tight end, before Smith showed off his hands. That he was featured heavily in the second and third quarters was a direct result of two significant injuries that cropped up during the week of preparation for Saturday's contest. Both Brevin Jordan (knee) and Dalton Keene (leg) sustained season-ending injuries, which benefitted Smith. A once promising tight end early in his career with the Vikings, Smith is poised to be third on the depth chart for a newly constructed offense that is expected to use multiple tight end sets.

Engram brought in his only target for a 58-yard reception in the Broncos' 27-7 preseason win over the Cardinals on Saturday night.

The veteran offseason addition made an instant impact Saturday, recording his long gain on Denver's second play from scrimmage to get the Broncos out of the shadow of their goalposts and down to the Cardinals' 37-yard line. Engram made the connection with No. 2 quarterback Jarrett Stidham, but come the regular season, the accomplished tight end projects as one of the top targets for promising second-year signal-caller Bo Nix.

Otton didn't make a catch on two targets in Saturday's 17-14 preseason win over the Steelers.

Otton has been sidelined for much of camp by a hamstring injury, but he returned to practice Monday. His participation in this contest is further confirmation that he should be on track to start the regular season, barring a recurrence of the issue. Otton played on three offensive drives with some of the Buccaneers' other starting skill-position players, including Bucky Irving.

Gadsden made one catch on two targets for 12 yards in Saturday's 23-22 preseason loss to the Rams.

Gadsden started each of the Chargers' first two preseason contests, but the team hadn't played their projected starters in either game. The first-team offense took the field Saturday, with Will Dissly serving as the tight end. Gadsden has received strong reviews for his play during training camp, but it still might take some time for him to make a consistent impact in meaningful game situations.

Bowers caught his only target for 28 yards in an exhibition loss to the 49ers on Saturday.

Bowers logged only one offensive snap in Las Vegas' first preseason contest Aug. 7, but he got more run against San Francisco. The second-year tight end's lone catch was a beauty -- he went up for a heave from Geno Smith that was contested by a 49ers defender and came down with the ball for a 28-yard gain. After setting an NFL rookie record with 112 receptions last year, Bowers figures to be Smith's top target in 2025, and he's arguably fantasy's most alluring tight-end option.

Warren secured one of three targets for 25 yards in the Colts' 23-19 preseason loss to the Packers on Saturday afternoon.

The talented rookie was overthrown by Daniel Jones on third down to close out the Colts' first possession, but Warren bounced back with his 25-yard grab on the second drive to push the ball to the Packers' 11-yard line. Warren has played a first-team role in both of his preseason games to date and is poised for a significant role as the clear top pass-catching option at tight end to open his career.

Latu (groin) failed to haul in his lone target and recorded one tackle during the Eagles' 22-13 preseason loss to the Browns on Saturday.

Latu was limited in practice earlier this week while tending to a groin injury, but the 2023 third-rounder was cleared to play in Saturday's contest. Latu is battling for a depth spot on the Eagles' 53-man roster, though there wasn't much about Saturday's game to help improve his stock. He'll look to make a bigger impact in the Eagles' preseason finale against the Jets on Friday.

Kittle will suit up alongside Brock Purdy and the majority of the 49ers' starters during Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Kittle, Purdy, and the rest of San Francisco's key starters will only play a series (or two at most) Saturday after having sat out the team's preseason opener against the Broncos last week. With RB Christian McCaffrey resting Saturday and Juan Jennings (calf) still working his way back to full health, Kittle and second-year wideout Ricky Pearsall are set to operate as the clear top playmakers for the first-team offense versus Las Vegas. The veteran TE is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns and inked a four-year, $76.4 million extension with the 49ers this offseason.

Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Saturday that Ertz will rest rather than suit up alongside the rest of the starters during Monday's preseason game against the Bengals, Commanders writer Ben Standig reports.

Ertz won't join Jayden Daniels and the majority of Washington's starters in making their preseason debut versus Cincinnati, an unsurprising decision, given that as he heads into his age-35 season, the veteran tight end has little more to gain from exhibition reps. Veteran wideout Noah Brown will join Ertz with a day of rest on the sidelines, while top receiver Terry McLaurin came off the active/PUP list Saturday but won't be in consideration to take the field Monday.
