  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Working off to side Tuesday

Ferguson (soreness) was working off to the side at Tuesday's practice, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.

Ferguson is at least healthy enough to avoid being completely shut down from all activities. The second-year tight end has carried plenty of buzz all offseason and has a chance to emerge as Matthew Stafford's third option behind Puka Nacua (groin) and Davante Adams. Los Angeles will make heavy use of its deep stable of tight ends, but Ferguson has the most playmaking ability of the group. Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen (quadriceps) and 2026 second-round pick Max Klare will also be in the mix for reps in two-TE and three-TE formations.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Seeing expanded route tree in camp

The Rams have expanded Ferguson's route tree this summer now that he's more comfortable with the playbook in his second season, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.

Ferguson has been one of the biggest playmakers at Rams camp, and with Puka Nacua dealing with a groin injury that has forced him to miss multiple practices, Ferguson is getting more reps and targets with Matthew Stafford. After being used as a part-time field-stretcher at tight end as a rookie, Ferguson has seen reps out wide, in the slot and attached to the line during training camp. With little experienced pass-catching depth behind Nacua and Davante Adams, the Rams are looking for a third piece in the passing offense, and Ferguson appears to be running with the opportunity. He's gaining steam in fantasy football as a late-round option.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Makes waves in joint practice

Ferguson was a standout performer during the Rams' joint practice with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Star wideout Puka Nacua (groin) made an early exit from practice; that opened up extra targets for others, and Ferguson looks to have been one of the main beneficiaries. According to play-by-play notes provided by Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Ferguson notched at least four receptions, two of which went for big gains. Ferguson had an excellent pass-catching profile coming out of Oregon, and he averaged an impressive 21.0 yards per reception on 11 catches as a rookie second-round pick in 2025. Though the Rams maintain a crowded tight-end room heading into 2026, Ferguson should still see his role grow in Year 2 while head coach Sean McVay frequently favors two- or three-tight-end sets.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Drawing positive reviews

Several members of the Rams organization have suggested that Ferguson will have a big 2026 season, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

The Oregon product had a quiet rookie campaign in 2025, catching 11 of 25 targets for 231 yards and three touchdowns over 14 regular-season games, but veteran tight end Tyler Higbee said he believes Ferguson is "going to be a great player." With that said, Ferguson could face plenty of competition for snaps during the coming campaign, as the Rams have a crowded tight-end room that includes Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen and second-round rookie Max Klare.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Catches 11 passes in rookie season

Ferguson caught 11 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns in three regular-season games during the 2025 season.

Ferguson spent the majority of the campaign as the team's No. 3 tight end behind Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee but still had a solid rookie season nonetheless. With Higbee set to be a free agent, Ferguson could see a larger role on offense next season.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Full listing Wednesday

Ferguson (hamstring) was a full participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Ferguson missed the past two games due to a hamstring injury, but a full listing Wednesday indicates that the issue is behind him. He thus will be in the mix for snaps and targets among Rams tight ends alongside Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen for Sunday's divisional-round contest at Chicago.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Inactive in wild-card round

Ferguson (hamstring) is listed as inactive Saturday at Carolina, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

A hamstring injury will force Ferguson to miss a second contest in a row, but he at least displayed some progress this week by capping it with a limited practice Thursday. In Ferguson's continued absence, Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and Nick Vannett will be the tight ends available to a Rams offense that utilizes the position heavily.
