  • Jeremy Ruckert TE | NYJ

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Catches only target in win

Ruckert caught his only target for four yards in Thursday's 21-13 win over the Texans.

Ruckert, Tyler Conklin and Kenny Yeboah contributed one catch apiece. As usual, Ruckert operated as the No. 2 tight end behind Conklin, with that role resulting in a 36 percent snap share for the 2022 third-round draft pick out of Ohio State in Thursday's win.

  • Kenny Yeboah TE | ARI

Jets' Kenny Yeboah: One catch in season debut

Yeboah (abdomen) caught his only target for 12 yards in Thursday's 21-13 win over the Texans.

Yeboah was activated from IR prior to the win. He played only four snaps on offense in his season debut, but the third-string tight end still made an important contribution, as his 12-yard catch on third down extended a fourth-quarter drive that culminated in Davante Adams' first touchdown reception as a Jet. Yeboah is unlikely to challenge Tyler Conklin for the starting job, but Jeremy Ruckert's No. 2 spot on the depth chart is attainable.

  • Tyler Conklin TE | DET

Jets' Tyler Conklin: One catch in Thursday's win

Conklin caught one of two targets for minus-3 yards in Thursday's 21-13 win over the Texans.

Conklin played 45 of the Jets' 58 snaps on offense, while Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah combined to play 25, but each of the three tight ends finished with one catch. Aaron Rodgers directed 25 of his 32 passes to either Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams or Breece Hall, and those three will likely continue to account for the vast majority of the Jets offense moving forward. After having a modest two-game touchdown streak snapped Thursday, Conklin will look to start building a new one Week 10 against the Cardinals.

  • Cade Stover TE | HOU

Texans' Cade Stover: Two targets in loss

Stover did not catch either of his two targets in Thursday's 21-13 loss to the Jets in Week 9.

Houston was without its top two wideouts for the game, which presented an opportunity for a lesser-known receiver, such as Stover, to produce. However, that didn't materialize, as quarterback C.J. Stroud (eight sacks, 11 hits) was on the run most of the night, which impacted the passing attack. Stover has seven catches on 11 targets for 85 yards through nine games.

  • Dalton Schultz TE | HOU

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Modest output in Week 9 loss

Schultz secured three of six targets for 21 yards in the Texans' 21-13 loss to the Jets on Thursday night.

Despite the absence of both Stefon Diggs (IR, knee) and Nico Collins (IR, hamstring), Schultz continued to operate in a modest role that left him with eighth sub-35-yard tally of the season. The veteran tight end has topped out at four receptions as far as a single-game high during the 2024 campaign, and with Collins expected to return for a Week 10 home clash against the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 10, Schultz is likely to remain in a largely fantasy-irrelevant role.

  • Anthony Firkser: Released by Jets

Firkser was released by the Jets on Thursday.

The tight end was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Weeks 6-8 and played on seven offensive snaps and 51 special-teams snaps. Firkser also saw action in Week 1, but he has yet to record a catch this season. The seventh-year pro's last regular-season reception came in 2022 with the Falcons.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Seahawks' Noah Fant: Doesn't practice Thursday

Fant (groin) didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Considering Fant was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice report, he may have suffered the groin injury in the session that preceded its posting. In any case, his status will be one to monitor Friday to see if he enters the weekend with a designation ahead of Sunday's game versus the Rams. AJ Barner, Pharaoh Brown and Brady Russell would stand to benefit this weekend if Fant is inhibited or sidelined.

  • Kenny Yeboah TE | ARI

Jets' Kenny Yeboah: Good to go vs. Texans

Yeboah (abdomen) is active for Thursday's game against Houston.

Yeboah was activated from injured reserve earlier Thursday, and he's in line to make his 2024 regular-season debut. Yeboah will provide the Jets depth at tight end behind starter Tyler Conklin and backup Jeremy Ruckert.

  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Chargers' Hayden Hurst: Logs full practice Thursday

Hurst (groin) practiced fully Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

After having missed two straight games, Hurst is poised to return to action Sunday against the Browns. With that in mind, the tight end's Week 9 fantasy prospects hinge on the status of Will Dissly (shoulder), who returned to a limited practice Thursday. If both players are available this weekend, Hurst would carry modest lineup appeal.

  • Will Dissly TE | LAC

Chargers' Will Dissly: Back at practice

Dissly (shoulder) returned to a limited practice Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

After missing practice Wednesday, Dissly is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns. The same goes for fellow tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) -- who has missed two straight games -- but practiced fully Thursday. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Dissly carries an injury designation into the weekend, but the looming return of Hurst could cost Dissly (who has logged 18 targets over his last two games) some volume in Week 9.
