  • Dalton Schultz TE | HOU

Texans' Dalton Schultz: One catch in Week 7 loss

Schultz caught one of two targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Packers.

Schultz's 28-yard catch in the first quarter was enough for him to finish as Houston's leading receiver, as C.J. Stroud threw for only 86 yards in arguably the worst performance of the second-year quarterback's career. Wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) will miss a third consecutive game in Week 8 against the Colts, so Schultz is poised to see decent target volume if Stroud gets back on track, as Schultz had 14 targets over Houston's previous two games coming into Sunday's loss.

  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

    Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Inactive Sunday

Tremble (back) is listed as inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Commanders, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official website reports.

Tremble cleared the league's five-step concussion protocol Friday, but he remained questionable. He was ultimately unable to do enough to suit up for Sunday's contest. In his absence, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Ian Thomas will fill in at tight end.

  • Falcons' Charlie Woerner: Returns to game

Woerner has cleared concussion protocol and returned to Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports

Woerner suffered a head injury prior to halftime, but he was subsequently able to clear the league's concussion protocol. Barring any setbacks, he should resume his usual role providing depth at tight end.

  • Falcons' Charlie Woerner: Enters concussion protocols

Woerner is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Seattle, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Woerner sustained a head injury late in the second quarter of Sunday's game. He'll need to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols before returning for the second half. If Woerner is unable to return, Ross Dwelley would step up as the Falcons' backup tight end behind Kyle Pitts.

  • Hunter Henry TE | NE

Patriots' Hunter Henry: Maye's favorite target

Henry recorded eight receptions on nine targets for 92 yards in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars.

Henry delivered splash plays on each of the Patriots' scoring drives, the first for 18 yards in the opening quarter and a 32-yard reception in the final frame. Even during less effective possessions, Drake Maye consistently looked Henry's way, allowing the tight end to tally his second eight-reception performance of the season. Henry should be in a good position to remain a significant part of New England's offense, and he could remain reasonably productive with the unit looking far more competent under Maye.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Jaguars' Evan Engram: Underwhelming yardage in win

Engram secured all five targets for 35 yards in the Jaguars' 32-16 win over the Patriots on Sunday in London.

Engram finished tied with Brian Thomas for the team lead in receptions and targets, but he was a distant second to his teammate in receiving yards. Nevertheless, the Jaguars had the luxury of not having to be overly aggressive through the air due to game script, leading to Trevor Lawrence throwing only a total of 20 times. Despite the modest production Sunday, Engram encouragingly has a 15-137-0 line on 15 targets over his first two games back from a hamstring injury, affording him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 8 home matchup against the Packers.

  • Jack Stoll TE | CLE

Eagles' Jack Stoll: Will be TE2 vs. Giants

Stoll will be the backup tight end to Grant Calcaterra for Sunday's game against the Giants due to Dallas Goedert being ruled out with a hamstring injury, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

Goedert suffered the hamstring injury early in the first quarter of the Eagles' Week 6 win over the Browns. Stoll finished the game with a season-high 39 offensive snaps, though he did not register a target. Calcaterra will operate with the first-team offense Sunday while Stoll figures to be primarily featured in run packages.

  • Eagles' Grant Calcaterra: Poised to start Sunday

Calcaterra lined up with the Eagles' first-team offense during pregame warmups and looks set to start at tight end Sunday against the Giants, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

He'll be filling in for Dallas Goedert, who has been ruled out for Week 7 after injuring his hamstring in last Sunday's win over the Browns. After Goedert was limited to just three snaps Week 6, Calcaterra stepped in to play 57 snaps and finished with four catches for 67 yards on four targets. Calcaterra is a quality pass catcher but isn't especially adept as a blocker, so No. 2 tight end Jack Stoll could be in store for plenty of playing time behind him on running downs or when extra pass protection is needed.

  • Parker Hesse TE | DET

Lions' Parker Hesse: Listed as inactive

Hesse (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Hesse saw a season high 22 offensive snaps (33 percent) in last week's win over the Cowboys. However, the team opted to elevate Shane Zylstra to the 53-man roster earlier in the week, and he will be the No. 3 tight end in Minnesota. As a result, Hesse will be the odd man out this week.

  • Packers' John FitzPatrick: Inactive again

FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is listed as inactive ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official website reports.

Green Bay will roll with Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims as its only two active tight ends. FitzPatrick landed in Green Bay prior to Week 6 after Luke Musgrave (ankle) was placed on injured reserve, but he has yet to suit up.
