  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Panthers' Hayden Hurst: Not practicing Thursday

Hurst (concussion) was held out of Thursday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

In the midst of logging limited practices during Week 14 prep, Hurst was revealed to have been diagnosed with post-traumatic amnesia following the concussion that he sustained Nov. 9 at Chicago. Since then, he was ruled out for this past Sunday's game at New Orleans and now hasn't logged any on-field work this week. In the end, Friday's injury report may clear up Hurst's status ahead of Sunday's contest against the Falcons.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Cleared to practice Thursday

The Giants designated Waller (hamstring) for return from injured reserve Thursday.

The transaction officially opens a 21-day window wherein Waller can take part in practices for the first time since he injured his right hamstring in a 13-10 overtime loss to the Jets on Oct. 29. According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Waller expressed optimism Wednesday that he would be ready to make return to game action Sunday versus the Saints, but the Giants' coaching and medical staff will likely wait and see how he fares in practices over the next two days before deciding on his status for the team's Week 15 contest. While Waller has been sidelined for the past five games, Daniel Bellinger has stepped in as the Giants' top tight end and has produced a 11-138-0 receiving line on 12 targets during that span.

  • Josh Whyle TE | GB

Titans' Josh Whyle: Sits out Wednesday's walkthrough

Whyle (knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's walk-through practice.

Whyle missed his second game of the season in Monday's 28-27 win over the Dolphins. He was unable to practice leading up to the Week 14 contest after sustaining a knee injury the week prior in an overtime loss to the Colts. If he's able to practice in some fashion Thursday or Friday, Whyle could make it back in action for this Sunday's game against the Texans.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Limited to begin Week 15 prep

Strange (foot) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.

Strange has missed the Jaguars' past two games due to a foot injury, and he didn't practice at all last week. His ability to get in a limited session on the first day of Week 15 prep suggests that he's making progress, but the tight end's chance of returning to action against Baltimore on Sunday could hinge on how much he's able to practice the rest of the week. When healthy, Strange has had a fairly significant role as a blocker, but he's totaled just four catches on seven targets for 34 yards and one touchdown over 11 games.

  • Geoff Swaim TE | CLE

Cardinals' Geoff Swaim: Sits out Wednesday's practice

Swaim didn't participate in Wednesday's practice due to a back injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Swaim popped up on the Cardinals' injury report Wednesday with a back issue following the team's Week 14 bye. His practice participation (or lack thereof) over the next two days will provide more clarity on his chances of suiting up for Sunday against the 49ers.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Deemed questionable for Thursday

Parham (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Raiders.

Parham apparently hurt his shoulder in Sunday's loss to Denver, a game in which he played his fewest snaps since Week 4. He was estimated as a limited practice participant Wednesday, so it's difficult to gauge his chances of suiting up Thursday. Starting tight end Gerald Everett (hip) has been cleared to play in the contest, and Easton Stick will serve as the Chargers' starting quarterback with Justin Herbert (finger) out for the season, so Parham's fantasy prospects aren't promising even if he does manage to play this week.

  • Dalton Schultz TE | HOU

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Returns to full practice

    Schultz (hamstring) practiced fully Wednesday.

Schultz has missed the Texans' last two games, but the tight end's return to a full practice session Wednesday sets the stage for him to play Sunday against the Titans. In 11 games this season, Schultz has put together a 40-455-5 receiving line on 61 targets, a rate of production that puts the him on the fantasy lineup radar in Week 15. However, it's worth noting that Schultz could be working with a new quarterback in Davis Mills rather than C.J. Stroud, who remains in the NFL's concussion protocol and didn't practice Wednesday.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Chargers' Gerald Everett: Cleared for Thursday

Everett (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game at Las Vegas.

Everett is one of the many Chargers with a larger target share projection now that Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out for Week 15, albeit in the context of an offense featuring Easton Stick at quarterback instead of franchise signal-caller Justin Herbert (finger), who has been shut down for the season. Everett should be ready to handle his usual role as the Chargers' top tight end after he was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Limited in walkthrough

Higbee (back) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that he thought Higbee may be able to return for Sunday's game against the Commanders after missing the overtime loss to Baltimore this past Sunday. Higbee's replacement in the starting lineup, Hunter Long, suffered a season-ending MCL injury in the first half, but third-stringer Davis Allen then came on strong with four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. The Rams likely will deploy Allen in a three-down role Week 15 if Higbee isn't ready to play.

  • Greg Dulcich TE | MIA

Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Returns to practice

The Broncos designated Dulcich (hamstring) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

The transaction opens up a 21-day window in which Dulcich can be evaluated in practice before the Broncos would have to add him to the 53-man roster or keep him on IR for the rest of the season. Dulcich's career mostly has been defined by hamstring injuries to this point, but he could find a meaningful role down the stretch in an offense that's received little pass-catching production from its tight ends this season. Head coach Sean Payton wasn't willing to commit to Dulcich being ready to play Saturday in Detroit, though the tight end could put himself in position to return to the lineup Week 15 if he fares well in practices Wednesday and Thursday. Whenever he's activated, Dulcich will likely take snaps away from Lucas Krull and possibly Adam Trautman.
