  • Steven Sims WR | ARI

Steelers' Steven Sims: Suffers eye injury during pregame

Sims suffered an eye injury during pregame warmups ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The extent of the injury remains unclear, but Sims wasn't in to start the game. James Pierre replaced Sims as the Steelers' kick returner and fumbled his first opportunity.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Eyeing Week 6 return

Thomas (foot), who is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, is considered likely to return to action Week 6 against the Bengals, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Thomas will be missing his second consecutive game this weekend on account of the foot issue, but the Saints appear confident that his absence won't extend beyond that. Since Thomas didn't practice in any fashion this week before being ruled out two days in advance of Sunday's contest, he'll likely need to turn in at least one or two limited practices Week 6 to gain clearance to play against the Bengals. Before missing time with the foot injury, Thomas produced a 16-171-3 receiving line on 22 targets over the Saints' first three games.

  • Kendric Pryor WR | CIN

Jaguars' Kendric Pryor: Inactive once again

Pryor (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans.

Pryor, an undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin, has been inactive for each of the first five games of the season. The 5-foot-11 wideout was solid during the preseason for Cincinnati, catching four of seven targets for 89 yards and a score, and parlayed his strong play into a spot on Jacksonville's 53-man roster.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Leaves with hamstring injury

Watson exited in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Giants in London with a right hamstring injury and is questionable to return.

Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Watson was grabbing at his right leg and was spotted limping off the field when he apparently suffered the injury while running a route. Before his departure, Watson had returned two kickoffs for 35 yards, ran once for minus-3 yards and recorded a one-yard reception on his lone target.

  • Falcons' Bryan Edwards: Will play Sunday

Edwards is active for Sunday's contest with the Buccaneers, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.

Edwards has been a healthy scratch since Week 2, so he'll work to use this opportunity to remain active for future games. The 23-year-old has failed to make an impact in his first year with the Falcons thus far, catching just one pass for two yards on three targets through the first two games.

  • Steelers' Gunner Olszewski: Loses role as returner

Olszewski (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills, Chris Halicke of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Olszewski has fumbled twice across four games in his role as the Steelers' primary kick and punt returner. As a result, he'll be inactive for the first time this season. Steven Sims appears to be a candidate to takeover Olszewski's role on special teams.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Another DNP in Week 5

Perriman (knee/hamstring) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Falcons, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Despite practicing in a limited capacity during Week 5 prep, Perriman will miss a second straight game due to knee and hamstring injuries. He'll be sitting along with Julio Jones (knee) and Deven Thompkins (coach's decision) on Sunday, meaning Tampa Bay will be down to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Russell Gage (back), Scotty Miller, Jaelon Darden and Kaylon Geiger at wide receiver. Perriman's next opportunity to suit up is Sunday, Oct. 16 in Pittsburgh.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Good to go Sunday

Palmer (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Despite taking a questionable tag into the weekend, Palmer always seemed like a good bet to play after turning in a pair of limited practices before upgrading to full participation Friday. With Palmer now having been formally cleared to suit up, he'll look to capitalize on the absence of top wideout Keenan Allen (hamstring), who is missing his fourth straight game. Palmer laid an egg in the Chargers' Week 4 win over Houston, playing 57 percent of the offensive snaps while drawing just one target.

  • Jalen Nailor WR | LV

Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Inactive against Chicago

Nailor (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Bears.

Nailor popped up on the injury report list Thursday as a limited participant because of a hamstring injury. With the rookie sidelined, Dan Chisena, who was elevated from the practice squad, will likely take over Nailor's depth receiver role behind Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, K.J. Osborn and Jalen Reagor.

  • Zay Jones WR | HOU

Jaguars' Zay Jones: Returning from one-game absence

Jones (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Texans,

As anticipated, Jones will return from a one-game absence after he turned in a trio of limited practices this week before taking a questionable designation into Sunday. Though the Jaguars could end up opting for a run-heavier game plan as home favorites against the winless Texans, Jones should still see a decent amount of volume as the No. 2 option in the passing game after Christian Kirk. Through his first three games, Jones averaged eight targets per contest.
