  • Panthers' Laviska Shenault: Could play Week 2

Coach Matt Rhule said Monday that Shenault could be active for Sunday's game against the Giants "if he has a good week of practice," Schuyler Callihan of SI.com reports.

Shenault still is picking up Carolina's full playbook after having joined the team Aug. 29, but it appears that he's making progress. He could be ready to contribute as early as Week 2 in New York and would join a receiving corps headlined by DJ Moore, Robbie Anderson, Terrace Marshall and Rashard Higgins.

  • Jalen Reagor WR | MIA

Vikings' Jalen Reagor: Works just as punt returner

Reagor returned one punt for seven yards in Sunday's win over Green Bay. He played all of his four snaps on special teams.

Reagor didn't play on offense, as he's serving just as Minnesota's punt returner after his preseason trade from Philadelphia. He may not factor in the passing game unless on the team's top three receivers gets hurt.

  • K.J. Osborn WR | TEN

Vikings' K.J. Osborn: Three receptions in season opener

Osborn had three receptions for 14 yards on four targets in Sunday's win over Green Bay.

Osborn played on 42 of the offense's 62 snaps. Despite talk of the Vikings using more three-receiver sets this season, he saw about the same usage as last season even with no fourth or fifth receiver getting snaps on offense. He was tied for the third-most targets and should have bigger games, but the bulk of targets in the offense still go to Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Expected to miss time

Godwin suffered a hamstring strain during Sunday's 19-3 win over the Cowboys and is expected to miss a few weeks, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Godwin secured all three of his targets for 35 yards before being ruled out at halftime of Sunday night's win. The Buccaneers haven't yet provided an official update on Godwin's health, but it appears that he's avoided a major injury and may only be sidelined a few weeks due to the strain. The standout receiver suffered the hamstring injury in his first game back from a torn ACL. While Godwin is unavailable, Russell Gage and Julio Jones will stand to handle increased roles behind top WR Mike Evans.

  • Dezmon Patmon WR | CAR

Colts' Dezmon Patmon: Inactive in season opener

Patmon was inactive for Sunday's overtime tie at Houston.

Patmon is the No. 6 receiver and lost out to a depth role on offense to Mike Strachan. Patmon may have a very limited role until there is an injury in the receiving corps.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Gains 47 yards on three touches

Aiyuk caught both of his targets for 40 yards and received one carry for seven yards in Sunday's 19-10 loss to the Bears.

This game was messy in terms of weather and fantasy production, so Aiyuk coming up with 47 yards on just three touches is not bad, all things considered. There's a lot of offensive upside at the skill positions for the 49ers, despite the rest of the team's roster having glaring holes and immediate injury issues. Aiyuk still is a player worth holding until we get a better look at how this offense churns out stats with Trey Lance at the helm. That next opportunity comes in a much-sunnier venue next Sunday when the 49ers take on the Seahawks at Levi's Stadium.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Forgettable performance Week 1

Perriman rushed once for minus-7 yards and failed to bring in any of his three targets during the Buccaneers' 19-3 win over the Cowboys on Sunday night.

Perriman garnered active status over Scotty Miller and was on the field for 26 snaps overall, but as his final line implies, he did less than nothing with them. The fact the veteran logged three targets in a talent-rich Buccaneers air attack is at least mildly noteworthy but likely also fueled by the fact Chris Godwin exited the game after only 19 snaps due to a hamstring injury. If Godwin is forced to miss the Week 2 contest against the Saints, however, Perriman would seem to be a safe bet to be active for that game as well.

  • Jaelon Darden WR | SEA

Buccaneers' Jaelon Darden: Picks up rush attempt in Week 1 win

Darden rushed once for two yards and returned three punts for 28 yards in the Buccaneers' 19-3 win over the Cowboys on Sunday night.

While he didn't log a target, Darden was particularly effective in his punt-return role, which served as his primary ticket to ensuring a roster spot this summer. The second-year wideout logged 10 snaps from scrimmage overall as well, and his elite speed gives him a fighting chance of expanding his profile in the offense as the season unfolds.

  • Patriots' Kendrick Bourne: Limited snaps in Week 1

Bourne was on the field for just two of the Patriots' 57 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-7 loss to the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Bourne's lone target in the contest resulted in a 41-yard gain, but for now it looks like he's behind DeVante Parker (57 snaps), Jakobi Meyers (50) and Nelson Agholor (33) in the Patriots' wide receiver pecking order. Until steady snaps and targets come his way, Bourne is off the fantasy radar, though it's quite possible that he'll be more involved in the team's Week 2 contest against the Steelers, with his workload this coming Sunday thus worth monitoring.

  • Mike Strachan WR | WAS

Colts' Mike Strachan: Larger role than expected

Strachan had two receptions for 36 yards on two targets in Sunday's overtime tie at Houston.

Strachan played on 11 of the offense's 92 snaps, so he didn't have a huge role. Still, it was somewhat surprising to see Strachan get snaps in the passing game, let alone two big receptions, given the top four starting wideouts were healthy. That may bode well for Strachan's role in the offense should a starting wideout get hurt or fall out of favor.
