Darnell Mooney WR | NYG
Bears' Darnell Mooney: Plays one drive Thursday
Mooney caught one of two targets for six yards in Thursday's 27-11 preseason win over Seattle.
Both of Mooney's targets came from starting quarterback Justin Fields, as they both played the first drive and got the remainder of the night off. Chicago's No. 1 wide receiver will likely be used sparingly once again in the Bears' Aug. 27 preseason finale in Cleveland.

Tyler Lockett WR | LV
Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Makes brief appearance Thursday
Lockett played the first series of Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears but wasn't targeted.
Both Lockett and D.K. Metcalf suited up briefly after sitting out last week's preseason opener, but quarterback Geno Smith (knee) didn't target either of his top two wide receivers during their brief time in the game. Smith didn't lead the Seahawks to any points despite playing the entire first half, so Seattle's quarterback competition between him and Drew Lock -- who sat this one out due to COVID-19 -- is far from decided heading into the team's Aug. 26 preseason finale in Dallas.
-
DK Metcalf WR | PIT
Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Plays one series Thursday
Metcalf played the opening series of Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears but wasn't targeted.
Metcalf got his feet wet after sitting out Seattle's preseason opener, but he was used sparingly, as the Seahawks' immediate goal for Metcalf is just to keep him healthy heading into the regular season. Metcalf may see more significant action in the Aug. 26 preseason finale in Dallas so that he can build a rapport with Geno Smith (knee) or Drew Lock (COVID-19) before the games start to count.

Malik Taylor WR | DET
Packers' Malik Taylor: Lands on IR
Turner (undisclosed) reverted to the Packers' injured reserve list Thursday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Barring an injury settlement, Turner won't have an opportunity to play this upcoming season after he cleared waivers and recently transitioned to Green Bay's injured reserve list. Since going undrafted in 2019, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound receiver suited up for 25 games, catching seven passes for 81 yards and one touchdown.
-
CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL
Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Misses another practice
Lamb (foot) won't practice Thursday.
Lamb, who is dealing with what Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News describes as a cut toe, also missed Wednesday's session, but coach Mike McCarthy anticipates that the wideout will be able to return to practice next week. With that in mind, it appears as though Lamb will sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers.
-
Byron Pringle WR | WAS
Bears' Byron Pringle: Won't play this week
Pringle (quadriceps) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against Seattle, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Pringle is the favorite for Chicago's No. 2 receiver job after signing a one-year, $4.1 million contract this offseason. His continued absence could create an opening for someone else to push for the role, but a bunch of the candidates have also missed practice time with injuries, including David Moore (lower body), N'Keal Harry (ankle surgery), Velus Jones (undisclosed) and Tajae Sharpe (undisclosed). The Bears should have Jones back for Thursday's preseason game, though the third-round rookie won't necessarily get run with the starters, even in Pringle's absence. Equanimeous St. Brown got the start alongside No. 1 receiver Darnell Mooney in Chicago's preseason opener.
-
Treylon Burks WR | WAS
Titans' Treylon Burks: Partial practice participant
Burks (undisclosed) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Ben Arthur of The Tennessean reports.
Burks was in and out of drills after exiting early the day before. His participation in any capacity suggests the injury isn't serious, and Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports that the rookie had a sleeve over his left leg at Thursday's practice. It remains to be seen if Burks plays in Tennessee's second preseason game this Saturday against Tampa.
-
Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Unlikely to play this weekend
Colts coach Frank Reich suggested Pittman and most other starters won't play in Saturday's preseason game against Detroit, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
After catching two passes for 30 yards in the preseason opener, Pittman had a big week against the Lions in joint practices, according to Colton Pouncey of The Athletic. Jonathan Taylor remains the centerpiece of Indy's offense, but Pittman is the clear top target for 37-year-old QB Matt Ryan, who completed six of 10 throws for 58 yards in the first week of the preseason. Pittman, Taylor and Ryan all start the regular season with enticing matchups Week 1 at Houston.

DeVonta Smith WR | PHI
Eagles' DeVonta Smith: No setbacks with minor injury
Smith is practicing again Thursday and hasn't had any setbacks with the groin injury that limited him last week, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
Smith returned to practice Thursday after missing the Eagles' preseason opener. He's seemingly on track for an appearance against the Browns this Sunday, though it hasn't been confirmed one way or the other and likely depends on the team's plan for starters in general.
-
Noah Brown WR | LV
Cowboys' Noah Brown: Misses practice
Brown missed practice Thursday with a toe injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Brown sat out Dallas' second joint practice with the Chargers due to a toe injury, though it is not expected to be a long-term issue. Fellow wideout CeeDee Lamb (foot laceration) also missed practice, so the Cowboys are without some of their more experienced pass catchers as they prepare for Saturday's preseason contest against the Chargers. Brown remains the favorite to open the season as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Lamb and rookie Jalen Tolbert assuming that Michael Gallup (knee) is not ready for Week 1.
