Demarcus Robinson WR | SF
Demarcus Robinson: Cut by Vegas
The Raiders released Robinson on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
In a somewhat surprising development, Robinson was among the first round of Raider cuts this month. The wide receiver has six years of NFL experience, all with Kansas City, but he never surpassed 45 catches, 470 yards or four TDs in a given season. Robinson will seek out another opportunity elsewhere.

J.J. Koski WR | DEN
Rams' J.J. Koski: Managing shoulder injury
Koski hurt his shoulder during Tuesday's scrimmage, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
The severity of Koski's injury is unclear, but head coach Sean McVay hasn't expressed too much concern about it. The 6-foot-1 receiver failed to haul in his only target during the team's preseason opener against the Chargers, and he will continue competing for a roster spot with fellow pass catchers Brandon Powell (knee) and Jacob Harris (groin), among others. Koski originally signed with the Rams in April of 2020 as an undrafted free agent but has yet to play an offensive snap in the regular season.

Easop Winston WR | NYJ
Browns' Easop Winston: Joins Cleveland
Cleveland claimed Winston from waivers from the Saints on Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
The 25-year-old has appeared in just three games in his NFL career and joins a crowded Cleveland receiver room featuring Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones at the top of the depth chart. Winston has some experience as a punt returner, so that role may present his clearest path of making the Week 1 roster while the Browns seek a replacement for Jakeem Grant (Achilles), who is out for the season.

Kaden Davis WR | CHI
Kaden Davis: Waived by Broncos
The Broncos waived Davis on Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Davis signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent this offseason but was unable to make the team's roster ahead of the 2022 campaign. The Northwest Missouri State product made some impressive plays in camp and was routinely the first player out at practice during training camp. Davis will now hope that his strong work ethic will help him to find a spot on another team's roster before for season begins.

Michael Thomas WR | NO
Saints' Michael Thomas: Expected full-go for Week 1
Coach Dennis Allen said Thomas is "going to be ready to go" for Week 1 at Atlanta, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Thomas reportedly has looked good in training camp, bouncing back from his two-year battle with ankle injuries and setting himself up to start in the opener. He may or may not make an appearance this preseason, and it remains to be seen if he's anything close to the same player who led the league in catches in back-to-back years (2018-19), especially without Drew Brees and coach Sean Payton leading the offense.
-
Diontae Johnson WR | CLE
Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Practicing again
Johnson (hip) practiced Tuesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
With back-to-back practices under his belt, Johnson appears to have moved past the hip flexor that kept him out for about a week. He could even make an appearance in Saturday's preseason game at Jacksonville if the Steelers play their top guys.

Velus Jones Jr. RB | SEA
Bears' Velus Jones: Status uncertain for Thursday
Jones (undisclosed) was inactive last week, but if he takes the field he'll likely see 6-10 plays in Thursday's game against the Seahawks Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Jones returned to practice Monday, but it's unclear as to whether he'll suit up Thursday. If he's in the lineup, snaps for starters are expected to be limited, although coach Matt Eberflus indicated some first-teamers could see up to 20 plays after a short week of practice.

Shi Smith WR | KC
Panthers' Shi Smith: Working with first-team offense
Smith continues to get extensive work in the slot with the first-team offense during training camp, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
With Terrace Marshall (lower leg) slowly working his way back to practice, Smith has carved out a role as the Panthers' top slot option. Per Kyed, the 2021 sixth-round pick continues to work with the starters and has made numerous standout plays during training camp. Smith likely still faces heavy competition for snaps with Marshall, a 2021 second-round pick, and veteran free-agent signee Rashard Higgins.
-
Darnell Mooney WR | NYG
Bears' Darnell Mooney: Limited action expected Thursday
Mooney may be on the field for 6-10 plays in Thursday's game against the Seahawks Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
After playing in two series last week, Mooney is likely to see a similar amount of work this week. However, Fishbain also reported that some starters may see up to 20 snaps, so that's possible for Mooney as well. Coach Matt Eberflus cites a short week as the reason why his starters aren't playing more.

JuJu Smith-Schuster WR | NYG
Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Held out with sore knee
Smith-Schuster missed Tuesday's practice due to knee soreness, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Smith-Schuster otherwise seems to have been healthy since signing with the Chiefs, following an injury-marred final season in Pittsburgh. While he finished the preseason opener without a target, Smith-Schuster was on the field for every snap QB Patrick Mahomes took, getting a bit more first-team run than Marquez Valdes-Scantling and a lot more than Mecole Hardman. There should be more opportunities for Hardman (and rookie Skyy Moore) in the regular season when the Chiefs use three-wide formations more often -- a configuration where Smith-Schuster figures to see a lot of slot snaps. It's unclear if the sore knee is a threat to the 25-year-old's availability for an upcoming exhibition with Washington this Saturday.
