  • Saints' Ty Montgomery: Questionable against Panthers

Montgomery (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.

Montgomery fully participated in Wednesday's practice session but was held out Thursday and Friday due to a back injury. If he's unavailable against Carolina, Kenny Stills could see an uptick in playing time.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Titans' A.J. Brown: Cleared for Week 17

Brown (calf) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Dolphins after practicing fully Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Brown is thus good to go and on track to see plenty of targets Week 17, regardless of whether fellow wideout Julio Jones (illness) comes off the reserve/COVID-19 list. In the Titans' Week 16 win over the 49ers, Brown racked up 11 receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown on a season-high 16 targets.

  • Randall Cobb WR | NYJ

Packers' Randall Cobb: Not ready to return this week

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Cobb (groin) is "a little ways away from returning," implying that the wide receiver won't be activated from injured reserve in advance of Sunday's game against the Vikings, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

That being said, Cobb has made good progress in his recovery from the core-muscle surgery he underwent in the first week of December, as was made clear by the Packers' decision Thursday to clear him to resume practicing. Cobb looks like he'll need more practice time to prove he's back to 100 percent, but it's not out of the question for him to be added back to the 53-man roster ahead of the Jan. 9 regular-season finale versus the 2-12-1 Lions. If they can beat Minnesota this weekend, however, the Packers might be more inclined to wait until the postseason to activate Cobb; Green Bay would be in the driver's seat for the NFC's No. 1 overall seed with a Week 17 win and would be heavy favorites to beat the lowly Lions with or without the veteran slot man.

  • Nelson Agholor WR | BAL

Patriots' Nelson Agholor: Ruled out for Week 17

Agholor (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

With Agholor slated to miss his second straight game, look for Jakobi Meyers (thigh) -- who is listed as questionable -- as well as Kendrick Bourne and N'Keal Harry to lead the Patriots' Week 17 wideout corps.

  • Justin Watson WR | HOU

Buccaneers' Justin Watson: Questionable for Sunday

Watson (quadriceps) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Watson played 19 snaps on special teams in his season debut last week after spending the first 15 weeks of the season on the PUP list, and he's now dealing with a quadriceps issue. If available, the 25-year-old could see more offensive action Sunday if Mike Evans (knee) or Antonio Brown (ankle) is sidelined.

  • Jets' Jamison Crowder: Doubtful for Week 17

Crowder (calf) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

With Elijah Moore (quadriceps) not available for Week 17 after landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list and with Crowder trending toward inactive status, Braxton Berrios, Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims look on track to serve as the Jets' starting receivers.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Could land on COVID list

Head coach Vic Fangio said Friday that Sutton may land on the reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Sunday's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

If that happens, Denver's wideout depth would be tested, as Tim Patrick (illness) is already on the COVID list and Jerry Jeudy is expected to be officially placed on it later Friday. As things stand, Kendall Hinton and Diontae Spencer are currently the team's wide receivers without any concerns about their availability.

  • Giants' Collin Johnson: Out for Sunday

Johnson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Johnson will be sidelined for the second straight game by a hamstring injury. The Giants are significantly short-handed at wide receiver, with Kenny Golladay being the only fully healthy wideout currently on the active roster.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Likely headed for smaller role

Palmer is expected to share the Chargers' No. 3 receiver role with Jalen Guyton in Sunday's game against the Broncos after both Guyton and Mike Williams were activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week, Gavino Borquez of USA Today reports.

While both Williams and Guyton were on the list last week, Palmer stepped in as the No. 2 wideout behind Keenan Allen and played a whopping 98 percent of the Chargers' offensive snaps and finished with a 5-43-1 receiving line on six targets in a 41-29 loss to the Texans. After Guyton was activated from the list Wednesday, both he and Palmer still looked on track to have regular spots in three-receiver sets this weekend, but Williams' reinstatement Thursday closed the door on that possibility. When Allen, Williams and Guyton were all last available in the same game Week 15 against the Chiefs, Palmer's snap share dropped to 41 percent, with the rookie securing his lone target for a 15-yard gain in that contest.

  • Jalen Guyton WR | LV

Chargers' Jalen Guyton: Poised for No. 3 receiver role

Guyton and Joshua Palmer are expected to share the Chargers' No. 3 receiver role Sunday against the Broncos after Mike Williams (illness) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Gavino Borquez of USA Today reports.

After Guyton was activated from the list Wednesday, both he and Palmer looked poised to have regular spots in three-receiver sets this weekend, but Williams' reinstatement Thursday will close the door on that possibility. Before testing positive for the virus and sitting out against the Texans, Guyton hovered between 35 and 60 percent snap shares in each of the Chargers' first eight games after a Week 7 bye while averaging just 2.4 targets per contest.
