  • Kalif Raymond WR | CHI

Lions' Kalif Raymond: Still limited at practice

Raymond (thigh) was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough.

As he was on the Lions' final Week 2 injury report, Raymond logged a capped session Wednesday due to a thigh issue. He proceeded to be active this past Monday in Green Bay en route to two catches (on two targets) for 18 yards while logging a 63-percent share of the offensive snaps. Tyrell Williams isn't expected to be available Sunday against the Ravens, which again would thrust Raymond into a large role. Still, an active Raymond would be competing with fellow wide receivers Quintez Cephus, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Trinity Benson for reps.

  • Darnell Mooney WR | NYG

Bears' Darnell Mooney: Limited by new injury

Mooney (groin) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.

Mooney was bothered by a back injury in both of the first two weeks of the campaign, but now a groin injury is impacting his practice reps. The results have been modest through two games, with the second-year receiver gathering in 11 of 15 targets for 92 yards and no touchdowns. Assuming he follows the same path this week. Mooney could produce Sunday against a Browns defense that has given up 9.5 YPT to wideouts this season (11th worst in the NFL).

  • Jets' Jamison Crowder: Misses Wednesday's practice

    Crowder (groin) didn't practice Wednesday.

Head coach Robert Saleh indicated earlier Wednesday that the Jets are hoping to work Crowder back into the mix Sunday against the Broncos, but with an absence at practice to kick off Week 3 prep, the slot man now has just two more opportunities to participate in practice ahead of the weekend.

  • Jaguars' Laviska Shenault: Practices fully

    Shenault (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday.

Shenault was injured during this past Sunday's loss to the Broncos, but it looks like he escaped any notable damage to his shoulder and a full practice Wednesday puts the wideout on track to play this weekend against the Cardinals. After catching just two of his seven targets for minus-3 yards versus Denver, in Week 3 Shenault will look to revert to the form he displayed in Jacksonville's season opener, which led to a 7/50/0 stat line on 10 targets.

  • Tee Higgins WR | CIN

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Dealing with injury

Higgins missed Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor didn't elaborate on Higgins' injury earlier Wednesday when he revealed that the wideout would miss practice. There was no sign of Higgins playing through injury based on his Week 2 box-score line, as he caught six of his team-high 10 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown while playing 91 percent of offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bears. He'll face the Steelers this weekend if he's healthy enough to play, while either Auden Tate or Mike Thomas will step up to a top-three role if Higgins is out.

  • Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins: Dealing with rib injury

Hopkins didn't practice Wednesday due to a rib injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Hopkins has yet to hit the 100-yard mark through two contests, but he nonetheless has been productive, recording 10 catches (on 12 targets) for 137 yards and three touchdowns. He may be poised to reach triple digits in receiving yardage Sunday against a Jaguars defense that has allowed 11.2 yards per target to wideouts this season, the third-worst mark in the NFL. Having said that, Hopkins first will have to work his way through a health concern to be cleared for game action.

  • Curtis Samuel WR | BUF

Football Team's Curtis Samuel: Spotted runing on side field

Samuel (groin) was running along the sideline during Wednesday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

It seems to be the first time reports have seen Samuel on a practice field since he was placed on injured reserve Sept. 10. He's ineligible through Week 3 and may miss additional time beyond that, but there's at least now a sign of progress, even if it's a far cry from actually participating in practice. Meanwhile, rookie third-round pick Dyami Brown has been quiet in the No. 2 receiver role, catching four of 10 targets for 32 yards on 90 percent snap share through two weeks.

  • Russell Gage WR | SF

Falcons' Russell Gage: No practice reps Wednesday

    Gage (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.

Head coach Arthur Smith told Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com earlier Wednesday that Gage will be quite limited this week due to the ankle injury he suffered Week 2 in Tampa Bay, but "there's always a chance" the wide receiver demonstrates enough progress to play Sunday against the Giants in New York. Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network termed Gage week-to-week due to the injury, with Friday appearing to be the day that he'll test out his ankle. If Gage requires an absence Week 3, he'll cede reps at wide receiver to Olamide Zaccheaus, Tajae Sharpe and Christian Blake next to the team's No. 1 target, Calvin Ridley.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Ravens' Marquise Brown: Limited in practice again

Brown (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Brown was listed with the same injury last week before catching six of 10 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore's 36-35 win over the Chiefs. He now leads the team in every major receiving category, including targets (16), despite playing a few less snaps (71 percent) than fellow wideout Sammy Watkins (88 percent). The Ravens rarely call a pass play without Brown on the field, and he's accounted for five of Lamar Jackson's eight completions on deep and intermediate throws.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Titans' A.J. Brown: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Brown (knees) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Brown was a limited participant last week before upgrading to full activity Thursday and Friday. Even if he doesn't follow the exact same routine this week, he should be fine for Sunday's matchup with the Colts. The 24-year-old wideout has caught only seven passes for 92 yards and a touchdown through two games, but he's more or less seeing his normal workload in terms of snap share (83 percent) and target share (22.7 percent share).
