  • Marcus Kemp WR | WAS

Marcus Kemp: Cut by Kansas City

Kemp was cut by the Chiefs on Tuesday.

Kemp appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs last season and inked a contract extension in March, but he was unable to retain his spot on the initial 53-man roster. The 26-year-old has two catches for 18 yards in 28 career games since going undrafted out of Hawaii in 2017.

  • Marvin Jones WR | DET

Jaguars' Marvin Jones: On track for Week 1

Jones (shoulder) is expected to be healthy for the Sept. 12 season opener at Houston, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

The 31-year-old has been dealing with an AC joint sprain in his shoulder over the past week, but there's never been much doubt about his availability for Week 1. DJ Chark (finger) and Tavon Austin (quadriceps) are also expected to be good to go against the Texans. Jones, Chark and Laviska Shenault are poised to operate as Jacksonville's top three pass catchers with rookie Trevor Lawrence helming the offense.

  • Cornell Powell WR | PIT

Cornell Powell: Waived by Kansas City

Powell has been waived by the Chiefs.

Given that he was a fifth-round pick this past April, Powell was expected to make the grade, but following the team's initial roster cut-downs, Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman, Byron Pringle, Demarcus Robinson and Daurice Fountain are the team's current options at wideout.

  • DJ Chark WR | ATL

Jaguars' DJ Chark: No worries for Week 1

Chark (finger) is on track for Sept. 12's season opener in Houston, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Coach Urban Meyer also said Tuesday wideouts Marvin Jones (shoulder) Tavon Austin (quadriceps) will be available for Week 1. Chark underwent surgery in early August to address a hairline fracture in his finger, which forced him to miss the entire preseason, but he'll be available to head the Jaguars' receiving corps when the regular season kicks off, with Trevor Lawrence under center.

  • Joe Reed WR | CHI

    Joe Reed: Waived Tuesday

The Chargers waived Reed (foot) on Tuesday.

Reed appeared in 11 games with the Chargers as a rookie last season, but he contributed almost entirely on special teams while failing to secure his lone target. The 2020 fifth-round pick might be a candidate for the practice squad.

  • Tyron Johnson WR | DAL

    Tyron Johnson: Waived by Chargers

Johnson has been waived by the Chargers, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.

With Johnson and Joe Reed among those let go by the team Tuesday, the wideouts who made the cut for the Chargers' initial 53-man roster are Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Josh Palmer, Jalen Guyton (upper leg) and KJ Hill.

  • Laquon Treadwell: Jettisoned by Jacksonville

The Jaguars released Treadwell on Tuesday.

Treadwell spent the preseason working to carve out a depth role in Jacksonville, but he'll now have to look elsewhere in the league for an opportunity. Last season, Treadwell suited up for five games with the Falcons and handled a situational red-zone role, with six catches for 49 yards and two scores.

  • Collin Johnson: Let go by Jaguars

Johnson has been waived by the Jaguars.

The move comes as something of a surprise, and it remains to be seen if Johnson will be claimed by another team. Following the Jaguars' initial cuts, DJ Chark (finger), Marvin Jones (shoulder) and Laviska Shenault are entrenched as Jacksonville's top three wideouts, and it looks like the team plans to shuffle the deck depth-wise beyond that trio.

  • Dez Fitzpatrick: Let go by Tennessee

Fitzpatrick will be waived by the Titans, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

That's hardly what Tennessee had in mind when they took Fitzpatrick with the fourth pick of the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but the Louisville product evidently didn't impress the team this summer. If Fitzpatrick goes unclaimed by another team, he could land on the practice squad. The Titans' top three receivers are currently A.J. Brown, Julio Jones and Josh Reynolds.

  • Nsimba Webster WR | CHI

    Nsimba Webster: Waived by Niners

The 49ers waived Webster on Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Webster played with the Rams the prior two seasons before getting waived and joining the 49ers. The receiver was dealt plenty of competition from the start and ultimately was unable to make San Francisco's initial 53-man roster. The 25-year-old is considered to be a strong candidate to make the Niners' practice squad if he clears through waivers.
